This past year I had seen Dr. Lacava for three appointments to address health issues due to…read moremold/biotoxin toxicity illness. After my second appt. I was prescribed 12 different supplements to take which was both questioned and ridiculed by my PCP & Functional Medicine Doctor I signed up with shortly after my third appointment with Dr. Lacava. Also when I had a tick bite that was not confirmed to have lyme his solution was to prescribe 600mg of Doxycycline to take daily for 30 days consecutively described as my PCP as the "nuclear option" which he was glad to find out I consulted with him first about this. Lastly we had discussed in my second appt. that he would help me with FMLA paperwork if I was not feeling better by our third appt. I reluctantly went to the third because of the cost and I had not made any progress since the second in the hopes he would keep his word, which at the end of the third he said he could not be "burdened by the paperwork" and to ask my PCP. During this appointment I was informed that I was not taking the correct amount of multivitamins he prescribed which was the sole reason I was not recovering and the other 11 prescribed supplements were ineffective without the multi vitamins. He looked me strait in the face and told me "You just don't want to get better", because I was not taking the correct amount of vitamins, regardless of the thousands of dollars spent on testing and treatment with him I clearly just did not want to get better. I've heard at one time he prescribed adequate care but he has fallen short of his ability as a provider. Don't waste your time, money, or effort here. He should not be trusted with anyone's health.

I'm going to try to break down my experience to a minimum but keep in mind a LOT happened in between but I would need to write a book in order to write everything that I went thru . In 2014 Dr lacava Dx'd me with Lyme disease. Prior to this I saw multiple doctors that treated me horrible, didnt listen to me, treated me like I was just there for the attention, treated me like it was all in my head, this includes the ER, neurology, & Infectious disease. my Primary doctors NP was the one who said "lets just do a lyme test" that started my journey reading about lyme disease and the ineffectiveness of the testing and CDC guidelines etc. I became an expert myself, I found dr lacava who did a whole bunch of blood tests and found i did in fact have lyme. and babesia . treated me for a year with anti malaria, antibiotics and to give you an idea how i felt? I thought i was dying a slow death and even wrote journals to both my kids so they would have something special from me when i was gone. No one but dr lacava LISTENED to me. TESTED me and TREATED me the way I should have been Listened to tested and treated. after a year i finally felt like a living human again . He also did allergy testing and found some things i was sensitive to and should stay away from and i have done just that. his visits were at times, long and tedious with his method of paperwork you have to fill out but worth every minute of my time. Some visits yes i did have to wait but that just shows that he DOES listen to ALL his patients no matter how long it took . he NEVER rushed me EVER. And the staff there is phenomenal so yes if i could give Dr Lacava and the staff stars? They would get 10

Though it did take 3 months to get a new patient appointment (for just an annual physical, nothing urgent), I'm happy I waited - the staff was lovely and the location was very convenient. I was brought into the room right away, only had to wait a few minutes for my doctor, received the recommended vaccinations from the nurse as soon as my time with the doctor ended, and had blood drawn immediately after that. I received the results within a few days, and the prescription refills and referral that I needed were sent off immediately. My only complaint was that I needed a form filled out for work once my bloodwork results were available, and they wouldn't hold onto the form for me - they said I needed to bring it to the Acton location myself because they don't have a medical secretary on-site, though I think they're looking for one now!

They recommended going to an urgent care center. Most are closed by 6 pm on a Saturday, now what? Thankfully a neighbor recommended this group. Dedham was the closest so we trekked the 25 minutes for urgent care. You get there and scan a QR code, get into a queue, and wait in the car for a text to enter. This night, the wait was not long. A shout out to the staff - from front desk to doctor. They did not let us leave until we knew what was going on and a plan for when we leave. Thank you! Great service because no one wants to go to an ER!

That makes sense. But then don't take walk-ins if you can't accommodate people and can't give a waiting time. This woman was so unprofessional. Jen is wonderful at facilitating referrals; she even calls them in for us so we don't have to worry. Our children are always top priority at this office. OAK pediatrics is a culturally diverse office; not just the patients, but the staff as well. The diversity, both social-economical and cultural diversity that OAK pediatrics brings to Westford is definitely an asset. It's nice to see such a welcoming and diverse practice in Westford.

The staff is quick with filling scripts , making appoints with specialist and things of that nature and getting back to you about things . My son is barely sick so we don't go often , which is a good thing , but definitely a great doctor!

Waiting room times are short, office staff is pleasant, nurses are bright and efficient, and the medical staff is exemplary. I trust my child's life to these people and have never been let down. I prefer a holistic approach to health as I think good nutrition, sleep, exercise are as important as medical intervention, if not more, and the doctors here seem to agree. I do not believe in the flu shot (for anyone) and while they advise to get it annually, they have never made it an issue. They have Saturday morning hours for sick child visits. When I have called outside of office hours the doctor-on-call has always returned my call well within a half hour. Have never had an issue with any kind of billing problems. Some of the wonderful Drs there 13 years ago have since retired, but the replacements are all top notch. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

I was so grateful to have Dr. Z come to my apartment to care for my newborn and me. Dr. Z is knowledgeable, kind, and flexible. The model of having the first two months of my child's care from home was so comforting- it allowed me and my baby to stay in the home and rest and heal after delivery. Meg from Tova health handled all the admin stuff. She made scheduling, paperwork, and setting-up the patient portal super simple. When it was time to transition beyond the first two months of care, Dr. Z and Meg helped us find the best pediatrician and make sure they had all our records. Awesome experience! Tova Health is the best!

I experienced a traumatic birth. One of the better things to come out of it (besides my daughter)…read morewas meeting Dr. Z. I was not able to get out of bed for over a week after the birth, so our first meeting was with her sitting at the foot of my bed. Thank goodness we chose her for my daughter's pediatrician because there was no way I would have been able to take her to an office. I really needed the fourth trimester care to help me process the trauma from birth, and Dr. Z let me cry and repeat the story over and over again. I'll never forget the time she hugged me and promised me something good would come out of it. She was also provided excellent care to my daughter. I will never forget our crazy first meeting and her kindness. She listened and provided me care when my own OB/GYN's office failed to do so. It is absolutely ludicrous the postpartum care we receive. This fourth trimester care model should be mandatory everywhere.

When you call, you get a familiar voice that knows your family. Dr Bakshi is a lactation educator as well and was incredibly supportive and helpful on my breastfeeding journey with my first baby. If you're looking for a doctor who not only understands the challenges of nursing and pumping but will cheer you on and educate you, you found her. Their office is also in network with Children's Hospital. When my daughter had issues that required additional specialist support, we were able to see the best of the best in Boston and notes were shared seamlessly with Dr Bakshi's team. Their on call support over nights and weekends is also phenomenal. With a newborn I used the service a few times and always got immediate compassionate care. I can't recommend Dr B and her team enough. My first inclination is to gatekeep this amazing office because it is so small! But every family and child deserves great care.
