We like the fact that they have so many branches and a superior number of ATM locations. Most of their locations are open until 6 p.m. during the week and 2 p.m. on Saturday. They do have a few locations that are open until 7 p.m. during the week. We have noticed they offer free money in the way of promotions to bring in new customers. In some cases up to $150, for opening a checking account. One of the things they do offer for those in the market for a new or used vehicle. If you can't get 0% financing and do have to pay interest, they offer a 0.25% discount if you have or open a checking account with them. You will also get a 0.25% discount if you allow them to automatically withdraw your payment each month.

I…read morehave been a patron for over 20 years, but am transitioning to another bank due to the decline in services within this branch as well as at the corporate level. The fees are significant and unfair, and the lack of staff knowlege has resulted in account errors that have been costly (depending on who you ask you will likely get a different answer). Should you make a mistake on your register (for example forget to deduct a random autopay from your balance) you will be charged $35 per item (even if the withdrawal is for less than $1) in the order they came in. Within a day this mistake will easily and unfairly cost you over $200 and common sense cannot be negotiated, and they won't consider reversing the fees no matter how silly they seem. So, if you are at any risk of making a simple mistake on your register for less than a cup of coffee, I recommend you bank elsewhere. Its unfortunate, because switching banks after 20 years is a pain but makes sense for me...because chances are I will at some point forget to add that cup of coffee to my register and I will need some understanding and grace from the person I am speaking with at my bank so that it doesn't become a $200 mistake. This is not that bank. Original review in 2018: My experience with this branch has been so good. A few months ago, I had a restaurant incorrectly charged me over $1000 on my bill (I paid with my credi/debit card). I didn't realize it until the next day when I looked at my bank account online. My son loves the ipad kids area while waiting. Frank M, the financial advisor, has serviced us for over 5+ years now. Today, we just had our yearly financial check-up. Frank is very professional, precise & knowledgeable in many sectors. He always comes with many questions & suggestions for your life. He even answered our random tax return questions we had this year. This office also offers other services such as life insurance. Frank now has a local assistant at the Wauwatosa office & and Separate owen wealth management area, which is separate from the regular bank.

Once, when I brought in a large cashier's cheque from an out-to-state bank and needed to use the money promptly, the staff was able to call that bank, then "bend the rules a bit" and shorten up the time that they needed to "hold the deposit" until the paperwork cleared. This credit union provides excellent support (at a great price) if you need expert tax preparation, too. The ONLY complaint that I have about this credit union is that they do not offer "medallion services" if you have been mailed a form to prove your identity to some "big time" financial institution like Franklin Templeton. But for this issue, there was an easy work-around. They still get 5 stars.

This branch of focus is very close to where we live in Washington Heights and they allow me to do almost all of the same type of banking as I would be able to at my home CU. The folks that work here are all very knowledgable and friendly. I've never had to wait in a line and the service is top notch. They have their own parking lot and there is also street parking both on 68 St. and Milwaukee Ave. My only gripe, and the reason for not giving them five stars, is their sole ATM, in the front of the building, outside, is VERY old and tired. The CRT screen is almost burnt out and very difficult to see/read when the sun is not shining on it. It is IMPOSSIBLE to see/read when the sun shines on it. I'm sure they are aware of it; time to get it replaced.
