This is the branch of Guardian Credit Union (GCU) that I go to for my day-to-day needs. One nice…read morebenefit of my using this small branch is that not only do I know the staff, but the staff knows me. Heck, the staff even knows the name of my dog, when he comes along. I've already left a glowing Yelp review for the main GCU office (in Oak Creek), but here's a summary: I've been a member for 14 years, I had a car loan through GCU, and GCU staff have gone out of their way to help me deal with some oddball "cash flow" issues. When I was tasked with filling out a **very** perplexing tax return (not your typical "1040") for an elderly relative, GCU provided prompt expert assistance at a fair price. One additional item that was not in that other review: In comparison to some other bank and credit union websites that I have used, the GCU website is particularly easy to use. It lets me do a great job of managing my checkbook, monitoring my credit card expenses, and paying bills. And, it supports "Two Factor Authentication" log-in without being a nagging burden. What more could you ask for?

The account has been closed for some time and will not allow me to delete the review written on 8/2/2016. Please disregard this review as this is INACCURATE. Our store had to close due to the economy at that time, and since we where not a franchised business, we could not stay a float. The property that we rented was actually a very beautiful space and never had problems with management or maintenance while the store was there. If we ever had a maintenance issue, they where actually there within hours to fix it. Honestly, with how much other people or companies where asking in the area for rent at that time, Jay Benkowski offered us a very great rate for rent due to being a small business, which helped us a lot until we could not afford it anymore due to the economy. Again, I apologize to the Benkowski Company for that review that was written by someone else using my name, which was uncalled for and never should have happened.

I was never once late on a rent payment except for 1 time when the post office lost our check and it got delivered late but was post marked on the date I admitted to mailing it which was the 1st. There were apparent issues getting it picked up, it was postmarked the 2nd and never received by Benkowski until almost 2 weeks later after getting lost. Still, we were charged a $60 late fee. Upon moving out, a few things were trying to be put past us like being charged for painting the basement (which was never done by us had they reviewed their own move in video) and not following their OWN fee schedule for the replacement of an interior door. We disputed the charges and mailed a letter back stating we would not pay that and it took them a full 2 months to respond back to us. We not only did not receive any of our security deposit back, but had to also pay an additional $199. Let's just say, I'm extremely happy to be done doing any business with them and will gladly take home repairs any day over paying them for their crappy town home which by the way, had water in the basement 3 separate times in 7 years. There is no upkeep is done on their properties besides snow removal and grass cutting which is extremely minimal. If you want to be woken up at 3am by a snow blower, then rent from Benkowski! Save your money and purchase your own home to put equity into. Had I known about a great mortgage broker and realtor sooner, I would never have had to put up Benkowski at all

There's a drive through teller and an ATM lane. As with all the Educators Credit Union branches with live real tellers and associates, all the workers are friendly, personable, competent and don't try to steal your money like the big three megabank corporations.

Unfortunately, exceptional customer service comes from actions and never just words. This morning I requested a favor from your branch in South Milwaukee. A simple favor that required zero risk to the bank itself. I had deposited a check from a law firm over the weekend. Nothing big, just a check for $574 dollars. I had an emergency and in person requested $200 on the funds that would be available tomorrow. As a long-term customer, I thought that the request was a small one. especially since I receive the first of three no-fail direct deposits on the 1st each and every month. Well congratulations, you followed the rules and denied my request. You certainly didn't have to do it, and you didn't. a far cry from "unparalleled customer service." Maybe you should re-word you mission statement to "we follow the rules, if you like it or not." Thank you for being nothing more than a bank.
