I first visited another branch in the area and unfortunately they were not very helpful--they gave me incorrect information about how to process my name change while closing old accounts/going onto a joint account with my husband. When I came into the St. Francis location, I met with Kim, who was super nice and helpful. She followed up with me multiple times over the next week to keep me updated on the status of my accounts. Everything went smoothly, and she also shared some tips for quickly processing my banking changes that ultimately saved me a trip back to the branch, which I appreciated. Thanks Kim! I enjoy supporting local businesses especially if I am able to walk there. Kathy is a great manager, her team has excellent friendly customer service skills and eager to help. We also have our safe deposit box there and waived fee due to our numerous accounts. Robert Spector my financial advisor is the best and very responsive. His guidance and recommendations had helped ease my angst while retiring to make sure my investments are making money to provide for my goals. Highly recommend this branch.

I…read morehave been a patron for over 20 years, but am transitioning to another bank due to the decline in services within this branch as well as at the corporate level. The fees are significant and unfair, and the lack of staff knowlege has resulted in account errors that have been costly (depending on who you ask you will likely get a different answer). Should you make a mistake on your register (for example forget to deduct a random autopay from your balance) you will be charged $35 per item (even if the withdrawal is for less than $1) in the order they came in. Within a day this mistake will easily and unfairly cost you over $200 and common sense cannot be negotiated, and they won't consider reversing the fees no matter how silly they seem. So, if you are at any risk of making a simple mistake on your register for less than a cup of coffee, I recommend you bank elsewhere. Its unfortunate, because switching banks after 20 years is a pain but makes sense for me...because chances are I will at some point forget to add that cup of coffee to my register and I will need some understanding and grace from the person I am speaking with at my bank so that it doesn't become a $200 mistake. This is not that bank. Original review in 2018: My experience with this branch has been so good. A few months ago, I had a restaurant incorrectly charged me over $1000 on my bill (I paid with my credi/debit card). I didn't realize it until the next day when I looked at my bank account online. Aleta was so helpful in getting it all sorted out, and truly went above and beyond. Since then, I have opened a new checking account there and she as well as the other employees at this branch were so helpful. Next I will be opening a savings account there. Recently, I wanted to close it... with online savings actually paying interest these days, I don't want extra money laying around getting nothing for it. There is no, absolutely no way, to message/email anyone at BMOHarris. All the 'Contact Us' links lead to a nationwide phone number. When I called that number, they tried and tried (so they said) but they were unable to cancel my account. So I just withdrew all the money but the account is still active. Holding my breath waiting for them to charge me for the privilege of having an open account with no money. Don't know if they can reach into my active account at another bank to steal their fee. You might not mind it, but I'm a college professor so when I'm not working I don't like to be surrounded by college students. Yech. But this place has highly competent, efficient and pleasant tellers and counselors. Much lower rates than the big evil banks who should not be forgiven for what they did to the national economy in 2008. I just finished paying off a home improvement loan from UW Credit Union and I really appreciate the help they gave me to fix up my bathroom. The one drawback of this location is parking but if you're in this neck of the woods anyway, it's otherwise pretty good.

I stopped in this week to open another checking account which I need to do before year's end. They let me know that despite clearly having office space for 5 or more workers, they could not accommodate me because I didn't have an appointment. Note: they were not staffed. First available appointment was January 3 by phone. If it's by phone, it could be originated anywhere, so why such a long wait? Anyway, I went to another branch 10 miles away and got the new account in 10 minutes.

Very simple. i made a payment a few weeks ago for the full balance of my account. It was for a big amount and it was drawn from my bank. I made a similar large payment from the same account months ago without any problems. This time, the bank put a block on my card WITHOUT EVEN TELLING ME and the card stopped working without notice, leaving me without my primary form of payment. This means that auto payments on my account were being rejected, damaging my reputation with my creditors. They even kept the BLOCK on my card AFTER THEY RECEIVED MY PAYMENT. When I called the Bank, the representative told me that she couldn't do anything about this because of their "system." A supervisor finally lifted the hold, but the card still did not work. When I called back, I was frustrated and direct. I did not use bad language and I was not rude. She made it personal, and started lecturing me and hung up. A person like this has no business in customer service, especially if they cannot harness their own obvious insecurities. She should be fired. I have had nothing but problems with this institution. The same thing will happen to you.
