As a newly minted entrepreneur, I did some research online for the best bank for small business…read more U.S. Bank was highly recommended and I just happened to live within walking distance of a branch. When I got there, it was pretty quiet. When I asked one of the tellers, she helped me set up my appointment with the Business Banking Specialist. I was able to see him the same day even though he sees clients at other branches. During my appointment, Robert was very nice and helpful. He walked me through everything I needed to know. The whole set up took about 20 minutes and I left with enough information to get me started. So far I'm impressed with the customer service. Hopefully it stays this way!

This is a 5 star review of my experience at US Bank in Glendale that I unfortunately am reducing to…read more4 stars. The reason I'm reducing my rating is that I had an appointment to see a banker on a particular date at a particular time. I arrived on time but the banker I was supposed to meet was not there. She never arrived during the hour and a half I ended up spending at the bank that day. After waiting patiently for 15 minutes for the banker to arrive, Justin, another banker approached me and invited me to his office to take care of my banking needs. Normally I would reflect my disappointment by giving this review only 1 star but I have had other interactions with this particular branch and all have been worthy of 5 stars. I have had interactions with counter tellers who, after initiating small-talk, have smiled and laughed and interacted with me in a very positive way. Just this morning I was in the bank to close a dormant account and the teller, smiling, wished me a happy holiday. Even Justin, who was with another customer, acknowledged my presence and waived at me as I left. My relationship (and that of my family members) with US Bank goes back many years. I cannot remember another instance whereby I have been displeased, whether it be in-person or on the phone.

WORST BANKING EXPERIENCE…read more I've owned and operated a successful business for 27 years and have worked with numerous lenders during that time. Never have I encountered a worse experience than with Bank Five Nine. We applied for an SBA loan to launch a new business and were initially relieved to receive an approval--but what followed was an absolute nightmare. After approval, we were asked to send in roughly $5,400, which we believed was the final step. Instead, we were hit with a never-ending list of unreasonable demands: they wanted to be added to my personal life insurance policy, and even demanded to be listed on the title of a vehicle we had already paid for in full, in cash, before even applying for the loan. The entire process became increasingly invasive, unprofessional, and senseless. After a full month of back-and-forth post-approval, we decided to walk away from the deal. Of the $5,400 we sent, we were refunded only $1,400--with no transparency or justification for keeping the rest. Total robbery. The staff were disorganized, communication was poor, and the experience felt more like dealing with slick used car salesmen than a trusted SBA lender. The negative reviews online are absolutely accurate--I only wish we had done more research beforehand. We will be filing a formal complaint with the SBA Office of Credit Risk Management regarding how this loan process was handled. This kind of behavior should not be allowed under a federally backed lending program. Avoid Bank Five Nine at all costs. Do not trust them with your time, your money, or your business.

It's hard to know whether this place is a legitimate bank or the "food truck" equivalent of a bank…read more There is NO weekend support so if you have issues with your account on the weekend good luck finding anyone here to help! They seem to have 3 total employees because everything you need, at least on the mortgage lending side rolls "up" to a guy named Brian Arndt who seems to have a serious case of Napoleon syndrome and is extremely rude and unprofessional. Everyone seems to defer to him and he's an absolute nightmare to deal with. When you deal with this bank you feel like you're working with a mom and pop shop not a legitimate financial institution. Terrible customer service and no sense of professionalism. Use a legitimate bank not these guys. We are taking our business away as soon as there is a dip in interest rates.

Date of visit: March 31, 2026…read more I stopped in to get a cashier's check as I wasn't able to move funds electronically in a way that would work for me and I was pleasantly surprised by the efficiency and ease of my visit. Daniel helped me right away and when I inquired about a wire versus a cashier's check, whichever was cheaper, he recommended the cashier's check given the wire cost. That worked just fine for me and within a minute I had everything I needed to go on about my day. The entire transaction was seamless and he even gave me an envelope to put the check in. Wish all my bank transactions were this easy!

I added my wife, who was also a previously on my account and has held a mortgage and a car loan with the credit union. I asked to set up the fast cash feature of the bank app (so I could deposit checks with my phone). I've used similar services at other banks, and I've never had issues. I was told it would take several business days to get it activated. Weeks later it was still not working, so I called again. This time I was told the feature world not be activated for a year. I protested as said that someone else had a agreed to activate it. They apparently dug up the phone call and listened to the conversation, and agreed to activate the feature, but said typically that they wouldn't do it for one year. Today I deposited a $250 check, and then tried to deposit a $1500 check. I was told I exceeded the limit for deposits. I would deposit the check in person, but only the drive through is open, and it's habitually under staffed, with a line of cars around the block waiting for service. ECU does not meet my expectations, I intend to find a new bank.

So for the past 3 and a half years I have been taking a leisurely stroll down to my local chase bank near closing time. Usually I would schedule unwanted appointments just to not look suspicious. Last time I checked I had bought close to 900 debit cards. Some days I would go and take 50 dollars out of my account, then the next I put the 50 right back. Last week though was different. I went down to chase bank (this time to buy a debit card). At first everything was still the same and I was growing more disappointed by the second. When all of a sudden these 5 guys with these balaclava masks on started screaming at everyone to get down. At first it was alarming, then I thought this was probably the show I've been waiting for these past years. They grabbed the people from behind the desk and threw them down on the ground. One of the security guards tried jumping on one of the masked men but got thrown off and "shot". The amount of work that went into the special affects was astonishing, it really looked like that security guard was dead! They even brought real looking police cars in to try and stop them. I won't spoil the ending because you would have to try it for yourself. I would say this experience is not for the faint of heart but more for thrill seekers.
