The shaved prime rib looked like the Steak Umms from the 1980s. Processed. Not shaved prime rib. Just processed meat. The home made ranch was good. Soda was refilled only once. Mostly ice at three bucks. The second time it was empty, no one bothered to ask if we wanted water or a refill. Water also wasn't refilled. After paying, she returned the check to my male companion rather than me despite that I offered her the credit card. Maybe a patriarchal norm? Overall, an average experience. read more

Stopped in for lunch and I'm so glad we did. I ordered the Chicken Tenders because whenever I see that they are fresh/handmade--I turn into a 12 yr old that has to have them. They were fantastic. My only wish would be to have more of a sauce selection. My husband had the Chopped Steak Sandwich with mushrooms, onions, and Pepper Jack cheese. It's build your own so you really can have it your way. It was fantastic. Our sides were the Italian Pasta Salad and Fries. It may seem silly to be excited about those--but they were really good too. This is the second time I've been here but the first time in the new location. We decided to get our New Year's Eve dinner here and it was fantastic. Prime rib, lobster tail, corn and twice baked potato... all for $34! You can't beat that on New Year's Eve. we also tried a few of their winter cocktails and they were delicious... and strong. Both times I've been here I have really enjoyed the food. The new location gives them so much more space and a giant outdoor patio area as well. I plan to be back in the summer. read more

Went there for dinner while on vacation. Best food ever! Their chef is a culinary genius, and the staff was amazing. Although it was busy, Tabitha the owner, was so personable, she made sure to stop by every table and welcome her guests. You never see that. We arrived shortly after 5pm and ordered a sandwich. We understood this was just a burger joint, but after a few beers and 7pm rolls around, still nothing. We asked where our food was after an hour and were told 'we're backed up', when in reality, we were the first ones sitting at a table inside. Ppl around us were getting their food who got there 30 min after us. We had to flag other staff to get another drink and it wasn't just us. Even for them, it was bad. Recently we had a terrible dining experience at a local restaurant. After dinner my wife and I decided to stop at Town 9 Tap for a drink on our way home. Turned out to be a great decision. We were able to get a seat at the bar. The bartenders were great. They were fairly busy with it being a Friday night but still made time to make sure we were taken care of. We were telling Dan, one of the bartenders, that night, about our recent trip to New Orleans, and how we loved the food down there. A few minutes later, he brought out a bowl of their special of the day for us to try. A take on Jambalaya. It was delicious. Pub atmosphere was nice, food just ok. My mushroom provolone burger was so salty, my son's wrap was so little he should have ordered two. Bar does not have cabernet wine?!? I rarely leave bad reviews for restaurants, but in this case, I feel it is necessary. The one positive I will share is that there is outdoor seating. The negatives: I ordered biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs, the "scrambled eggs" looked and tasted like the crusted, overcooked, edges of an egg pan. My husband ordered a deluxe burger and was brought a breakfast burger, completely different, not at all what he wanted. When he ordered a diet pepsi, the waitress told him they had coke products, he asked why the menu said pepsi products and showed her. She could not speak and walked away. Turns out they did have pepsi products. Initially he had asked for a blended margarita and she said they don't do blended. Needless to say, we wont be back and we will not recommend. read more

I have rarely seen such poor customer service as I did Saturday evening. There were two of us for dinner, we did not order appetizers. It took 45 minutes to get a wrap and a build your own burger. My dining companion said her wrap was fine. My supposed half pound burger shrunk to less than the size of a quarter pound burger. I know the description on the menu is the raw weight but come on....I ordered lettuce, tomato and mushrooms at 50 Cent each for my burger. I got one piece of lettuce, one small slice of tomato and some type of mushroom that had been cooked with garlic. I would've sent it back due to the garlic, but didn't want to wait another 45 minutes for a burger replacement. A couple at a table across from us finally got the attention of their waitress and said that they would like to speak to a manager because they had been waiting more than an hour for two sandwiches. A "manager " came over and the discussion we heard was the customer saying "we've been waiting over an hour for our food and we need to be somewhere soon". The managers response was "fine, I'll cancel your order" and she walked away. I mean really!?!No apologies, no checking on where their order was, nothing. Needless to say those customers left without ever getting served. As they walked out, I heard them remark that they will definitely not be returning. Our waitress did not come to see how we liked our food after she finally delivered it. We had to ask for soda refills because she never checked in with us while we were eating. I definitely will NOT be returning or recommending this place if anyone I know is headed out towards Slinger. The interior of the restaurant is very nice. Original brickwork is gorgeous. The owners have done nothing though to help with controlling the sound level in the dining rooms. I don't like to have to shout to be heard across the table. Another reason for me not to return. Also, it took three tries for us to get the hostess to understand that we did not want to sit at a high top table before she finally got the message. I'm only writing this review based on their service since we didn't get to try their food. We really wanted to like this place but the rudeness (ignorance?) of the hostess has left a bad taste in our mouth. We came in on a Friday night and stood by the hostess stand waiting to put our name down. No one else was waiting to put their name in while we were there. We were literally standing right in front of the hostess but she looked beyond us at others she had talked to prior to us coming in and completely ignored us. There was no greeting, no welcome, no "just a minute I'm helping someone else. She then walked away and came back to the hostess stand and again just ignored us. Honestly it was the weirdest thing. We decided we apparently weren't going to get acknowledged so we left. I'm not sure what was going on but simple hostess training is what is needed by the front of the house manager. Brought my brother , daughter & her boyfriend for dinner . We hung out at their bar right next door while we waited for our table . Everyone was extremely nice and drinks were amazing . We got our table and our server Cera was very attentive and sweet . We ordered the jalepeno poppers and fries with beer cheese dip for our appetizers . Highly recommend !!! For our main meals we went for the handhelds . Mushroom Swiss burgers cooked just how we asked with more fries . My daughter ordered the breakfast burger and her boyfriend ordered the chicken wrap which they both loved . I would highly recommend coming in for food and drinks . I understand sometimes it is just one of those days and something might not go exactly as planned. But..... From the moment we arrived for a reservation of 12 for lunch to the owner threatening to call the police hours after we left because of their error. If we wanted someone to take our beverage order, needed menus, silverware, have our table cleared, asked for extra plates and forks I had to go up to the bar and ask for assistance. I have never experienced such service - even on the worst days. I am not sure if it was due to the larger party or just lack of taking care of the customer. Enjoyed the food and Service at the Slinger House and thought we would give this a try today, bad choice. The place was clean and looked inviting - arrived shortly before 1 pm and noticed there were not a lot of people present so we thought our timing was good, not so much. Waited over 35 minutes for our food to arrive once it was ordered, Philly Cheese Steak Wrap with fries. The food was not hot when it finally arrived, considering the amount of time it took to prepare and plate and given that the place was not busy, the food should have been on point, sadly though it was not. Cold and swimming in grease, took four napkins to sop up the grease the wrap was swimming in, at that point it was apparent the food there is suspect. Was intent on paying for the drinks but was taken aback when told we had to pay for the food we didn't eat.
