Installed a new roof at my personal house after having them work on our clients roofing for years. As always, everything went smoothly & they handled all the permitting. Harry is quick to answer the phone & get you out estimates. We miss Janet in the office who retired after decades in the office, but the service is still great.

Splintered scrap wood used for bracing. What poor quality. I had another roofer come replace this nonsense.

Man, I wish I had heeded the negative review, as I had probably an even worse experience. I had several contractors give me estimates on my roof (and gutters), and Tower was the most expensive, by over 10%. I still chose to go with them because their estimator spent a bunch of time with me going over all the things I wanted to make sure were done when I had my roof done. He was really thorough and noted all the details had questions on, pointed out the areas that they would have to touch up, and made me feel like I was going to get all my concerns addressed and a get high quality job, and I thought that way I would not have to spend my time babysitting the job to make sure it was done right. Originally I was planning to have my house tented after the old roof was removed before the new one was put on. A friend recommended that idea to me after a tenting company tore up his brand new roof. The scheduler from Tower told me they would come Thursday morning and tear the roof off and have the plywood down by Friday afternoon so the tent could go on. I ended up having to cancel the tenting because I couldn't get help moving the required stuff out of my house. Even with the tenting, the work was originally supposed to last just a week. I am thankful that I had to cancel the tenting otherwise I still might not have a roof. The guys who came didn't bother to read their instructions that I was getting new gutters and spent A LOT of time working around them and fixing damaged trim that was going to get removed in anyways. After watching them for most of Friday I had to ask the lead worker why he was doing this, and this is when he broke out his instructions and it dawned on him as he read them for the first time that he wasted a bunch of time and material. To make a really long story less long, one of the guys came on Saturday to try and "catch-up" for the time they had fallen so far behind on. They finally completed the roof after a week of work. When I went to go inspect the work, I saw areas that were braced with splintered scrap wood, instead of new construction materials. What a joke. The gutter people were not even available to start their work when they were supposed to (immediately on completion of the roof), and I had to wait even longer, a full week after the roof was done because apparently the material they had ordered for the job had not even showed up yet! The big issue here was in the place of the old gutters, they had the transitions from the roof line to the edge of the house, now approximately 8 inches lower, which is much less visually appealing, and very problematic in the spot where one goes right over my gate, which I now have to duck under to avoid hitting my head. They also didn't read their instructions and didn't have the gutters in the front of the house drain onto the lawn as I had requested instead of the planter boxes which causes me problems when it rains. So all of this was a pain, but the real insult came when I got the bill with many hours added on to the estimate, raising the already high price EVEN MORE. I couldn't believe the audacity of the proprietor after I had spoke with them about the countless hours wasted on the job. It only got worse, when I asked him to break down his estimate to show that the additional hours were not overcharging as I claimed, and he refused. Don't be like me, and not listen to what the other Yelper said ... I won't even say "Do business with them at your own risk!" I would just say "Don't do business with them!"

You can see the sky, right above the red thermos. I couldn't see the sky, from my garage before Tower Roofing put on my roof.

Customer service is nonexistent, invoicing is inaccurate, workers are unsupervised, workmanship is poor.

A longer lifespan, improved leak and crack resistance, improved elasticity, efficiency and reflectivity, made silicone my first choice over other roofing coatings and materials. Despite it being a costlier investment, this was going to be the protective layer on the costliest investment I've made thus far in my life, my home. Enter Nema Roofing. They came in at a very reasonable cost and I watched as their team tore off the old roofing materials, fixed the areas that needed repair, washed everything down, and then created my new roof, layer by layer. In addition, I also had them replace my aging dome skylight while they were up there. True professionals, Adam, Mike, and the Nema team made the process easy. They showed up on schedule day after day until the work was complete.

They were not the cheapest quote I got, but obviously a roof is not something you want to skimp too much on, and they also were not the most expensive. This company completed the work on time, and didn't cut any corners. They were always available to answer my questions and took care to explain every step. From Mike's attention to detail and Adam's expertise, I really felt like I found the best company for not only our roof, but any future building/renovation needs I may have. I have already recommended them to a friend, who also found them to be polite, respectful, knowledgeable and fair. Thanks for a job well done, guys! Our new roof looks great!!

However, less than two years after the first repair, the roof began leaking again in the exact area they had previously worked on. I contacted Andrew multiple times by phone and text message, but he never responded. As the leak worsened - becoming more severe than the original issue - I also sent emails and called the business line, yet received no return calls or responses of any kind. After exhausting all attempts to reach B & R Roofing, I hired another roofing company to repair the issue. That company documented B & R Roofing's prior work and confirmed that the repairs were incomplete. Specifically, B & R Roofing only patched a very small section where the leak was visible and did not replace the roof underlayment, despite quoting and accepting payment for that work. After reviewing other customer feedback, it is clear this is a pattern in how B & R Roofing operates. I strongly recommend that potential customers carefully consider their business practices before hiring them. I will also be filing a formal complaint with the Santa Barbara Contractors Board
