We have stayed here several times. We don't expect what isn't offered and love the manager. Whenever there is a problem, she responds right away. Please know that it is minimally staffed so they can keep costs low. It's a great place to call home base while you travel around Sioux Falls. Just don't expect a big resort. Arrived at 8:30pm. Called beforehand and only got a recording. No maps of the sites. You have to drive around to find it, not easy in the dark. Wi-fi is terrible. Wi-fi code isn't posted, supposedly due to people sharing it. Never got a return call and didn't get code until 10:00 am when the office opens. Same thing with the laundry room code. We chose Tower Campground for it's convenient location. Our site was level under some trees. There was adequate WIFI and space between sites - everything we needed for the few days we were there to explore Sioux Falls as we passed through. We did not utilize any of the amenities. Although there was some street noise which was expected due to the location, it was not a problem for us at all. read more

So - I can't imagine why anyone would not give this place a high rating. It's wonderful here. Yes, close to the freeway, which means easy access, which is a plus for me. As for the noise that others have mentioned, well - if you run your AC, you'll never hear anything outside. If you want to kumbaya around the campfire with no sounds but nature, then go to a state park or a locale further removed from civilization. Same if you want to sit with your buddies and party till all hours of the night. This isn't for you. What this place IS: a clean, level campground with easy accessibility's to your site, either pull through or back in. Has full hookups, wi-fi, cable, immaculate bathrooms/showers and laundry facilities with awesome washers and dryers-even a nice sitting area in the spacious laundry room with books, TV and vending machines. Plenty of room to set up your grill or black stone, table, chairs, etc. Dogs on a leash, or supervised in portable fence, are welcome. No, it's not a "woodsy" camp ground, but it has everything else you could want - perfect for un-hooking and exploring the surrounding area or the falls, taking a break from the road and getting the laundry done. The proprietors are extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely bookmarking this place for future trips through here. read more

This was just an overnight after a long day of repair work nearby. We called for reservations and they charged our credit card right away even though the lady in the office assured me it's just to "hold" the spot. Price of $39 seems high even with Good Sam discount. Park is on the corner of I-29 and 12th Street which is the main road into downtown Sioux Falls. Very busy area and the noise level is constantly high. Our full hookup pull thru in the west campground was asphalt, level, shady and super tight. We were very close to the rig next to us. No fire ring or picnic table. Wifi was spotty. Campground location is convenient to food, shopping, the mall and businesses. There are a lot of longterm and permanent residents here. West campground is old and run down; south campground is supposedly newly renovated. If you're a big rig, towing and coming from the interstate, you won't be able to turn directly into the main park entrance due to the median. You will have to go to the next light and make a U-turn. We checked Google Maps and took Exit 80 from I-29 and used side streets to avoid making the U-turn with our 40' motorhome and tow dolly. You can call the office and get directions as well. This was fine for overnight but we won't stay here again. read more

For us, the staff were perfectly friendly and accommodating. We made our reservation about a month in advance. We are in the middle of a full-month stay; And though we are staying a whole month, they put us up front in a very nice space that is very easy to get in and out of. Grass, lots of shade trees, plenty of space on either side. Walks around the park revealed a beautiful setting with a lot of different trees providing plenty of shade. Lots of grass. Playground for the kids. And if their nice shady spots fill up, they even have a fairly big parking lot area that they have turned into full-hook up spots for weary travelers. Rates for us were very competitive to what we usually seek out, including electric and very good Wi-Fi. This is an urban setting, so there is a main road on one side intersecting the interstate on another. This means that you are very close to stores, shops, restaurants - but you can definitely hear traffic noise (that has never been a problem for us - we are usually watching TV or our air conditioner or fans are running). We will definitely seek to stay here when we travel through Sioux Falls again. read more

Clean bathrooms and decently sized spots are the only positives. Being so close to I29 with nothing to shield the noise is obnoxious. Some sort of fencing other than regular chain link or better tree cover to at least visually block the freeway from the adjacent campsites would go a long way read more

If I could give this place zero Stars I would... not only do they never answer their phones, but they raised their rates $50/month in off season.. and get this people... $399/week from April to through September. New owners are trash, worse than the previous owners. No maintenance is done, dog poop everywhere... read more

We stayed one night on our trip east. I asked for a pull through and we did get it on a black top parking lot. The spaces were so close together there was less than three feet between our slide outs and the neighbors next door. It worked ok for an over night, but I'd expect a bit more space for paying full price. The park in general looked nice with some larger pull throughs and nice back ins. I guess we were just unlucky to get assigned to the black top parking lot. read more

Not a great campground by any means. It sits directly beside I-29, so sitting outside and having a conversation if your site is in the south side is impossible. Hopefully you have a fan or AC loud enough to mask the noise so you can sleep. Upkeep is lacking. It had not been mowed in a while and tall weeds were abundant. The bathrooms needed cleaning. Of the two showers, one had no working lock on the door and the other had no place to set your soap and shampoo. We were traveling with another couple and when we arrived, another camper was in their site. When our friends went to the office to get it straightened out, the female staffer was extremely rude to him and acted as though it was our friends' fault. He tried to show her their confirmation email, but she refused to look at it. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

Since my last stay I've now been to Sioux Falls 3 times, albeit different RV Parks. Now the 3rd time and I'm back at Tower RV Park. Why try to change a good thing. Since my last stay a year ago, the owners cleaned up the West campground and added spots. Looks very nice. Still the best park in the Sioux Falls area that I've stayed at. Staff remains extremely helpful. Grounds, bathrooms and laundry facilities are very clean. The sites in the South Campground has ample space on either side. I'm a full-time RV'er and I tend to stay a given park for extended stays. More economical that way. I can't speak to the WiFi quality as I depend on WiFi so I bring my own WiFi with me in the form of a MiFi. I've tried the rest, going forward I will stay at the best. read more

ONE STAR IS TOO HIGH A RATING!! We secured a two-night stay online via an app known as RoverPass. The day after our first night's stay we left the camp ground with our truck camper to run some errands. When we returned someone else was in our site despite the fact we'd left our camp chairs, cooler, a dog bowl, and our firewood. The new occupants told us the camp office had given them our site. So we gave them a call. A lady came by on a golf cart and told us that "our" problem was that someone had taken the other guys spot, so they had to give them ours since we weren't there. They offered us another spot in exchange. Our first location was a nice "premium" spot for which we paid top dollar. The offered exchange was squeezed between two other campers, it had no picnic table, and the dump tube was missing a lid so it smelled of sewage. We were going to leave and wanted our money back. Rather than trying to help us, they told us that they couldn't give a refund and that we'd have to go back through RoverPass. A few calls to RoverPass and we were told that would actually have come through Tower Campground. When we talked to Tower they said they couldn't give us our money back BECAUSE WE HAD CANCELLED! Of course we told them we had NOT cancelled, they had taken our site and stolen then things we left there! Wet that sweltering late August night on a side street in Sioux Falls, but it was far preferable to spending a minute at Tower. We did finally get some of our money back. I guess the portion that was deducted was their cancellation fee. We also got most, but not all, of our things back. We return to Sioux Falls periodically, but needless to say we will NEVER return to Tower Campground. They care far more about each dollar they earn than giving any customer service at all. There are Walmarts in town, they are a much better option. read more

A nice little campground. Seems like many people stay there full time. It was convenient to anything we needed, such as dining and groceries. We stayed for a week and the staff was super friendly and we enjoyed our stay. However, you should know that it is very close to an airport and for the most part we were not bothered by a lot of traffic BUT the fighter jets that fly over several times a day are pretty loud!! But rest assure we never heard them or any flights at night. Wi-Fi good and I would stay here again. read more

We made reservations at a different campground for the Fourth of July week and when we showed up it was way too small for our rig- despite a detailed description of our rig and slides. With no where for is to be on a holiday weekend we figured we were pretty screwed, but Tower Campground found room for us in an amazing and roomy site. We had to move mid week--they kept apologizing for that but we were thrilled to have a place to be and our family week wasn't ruined. Thanks Tower for saving the day! read more

Checked in for one night. Sites level and asphalt, office staff nice however a bit pricy for site with no grass (some sites have it but we weren't offered one) and close to road noise. Also cable didn't work, closest bath house disabled (we didn't need one so no problem for us) and price $50 a night. Would not discount due to cable not working. Internet virtually non existent. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms and showers that get nice and hot, level lads and a good amount of spacing between rv's (except for the one you're butt to butt with). The highway and airplane noise was fairly loud. They seem to be one of the few year-round RV spots so it was pretty busy. Approximately $39 for one night, included full hookups. read more

This place for overnighters is nothing more than a paved parking lot with hook ups- literally! My suggestion is- find someplace else!!!! Situated on a very busy 4 lane road right by the interstate. I think I had the ONLY site (21) with a picnic table- although it was behind the site. REALLY-if you can find some where else, grab it!!!! Thus place pretty much sucks! read more

We were very disappointed with this campground..our site was on asphalt, couldn't open our awning as the RVs were too close together. It was like a big parking lot. Office closed so no maps provided. Cable didn't work. We have a dog....it was 90 degrees out so couldn't leave her outside on hot asphalt. We booked 6 months ahead of time and told them we had a dog. We were next to the dumpsters, no picnic table and cigarette butts on our site. Took dog to dog park and dog bags were empty. Restrooms and showers were very clean. Be careful with reserving this site. You don't get to pick your site, they choose it for you. Unfortunately our campsite was located in the western portion of the campground. This section was essentially in a parking lot. It was dirty, grass is not maintained and traffic noise was tremendously loud. Parking space is limited on site and broken bottles were on our site. There were multiple broken down RVs in the campground. The campground is close to town and very close to I-29. This can be a good thing as it grants access to locations but traffic noise of loud mufflers and police cars impacts sleep time. There were also lots of people coming in and leaving throughout the night and early morning before sunrise which brings about headlights shining into our RV. The bathroom itself was clean but some users didn't flush their toilet and put their cigarette in the shower area. We didn't use the laundry facility but it looked clean. Can't rate on customer service cause we did not encounter them. The eastern portion of the campground looked a little more inviting but overall, this is a campground that I would not rent again nor would I recommend. read more

A very nice place close in to Sioux Falls. We called ahead and the woman on the phone made the reservation so easy for us. She took our info, assigned us a spot and took our payment over the phone. It was just as easy when we showed up. Our name and instructions to our site and the info about the camp site were waiting for us. All we had to do was drive in, back into our paved, shady, full hookup site, and enjoy the evening. I Highly recommend this place. read more

Over priced, wifi out of range and the paved space was to small for my camper and truck. I have a small unit and just needed electricity and the location near Sherman Park. I was in town for my daughters softball tourney and the location was important or I would have never paid so much for electricity alone. So I can deal with the expenses, but pure stupidity is hard for me to over look. Seriously. This is the first review I have EVER written. I have to feel really emotional and angry to spend my time writing a review. It takes what it takes I guess.... AND Maybe this will save someone the inconvenience of staying here. OK so I am at my daughters softball game. I have paid up for the site and I am just going along when I get this phone call (message) that my site had been reserved by another customer and that if I did not respond immediately they were going to tow my camper... OK, Seriously, I had to breathe and take a few minutes just to gather my thoughts, tow my camper??? really. Of course legally this is ridiculous and simply not so. But someone had made a mistake and instead of clearly indicating "we made a mistake can you call us" I was given an ultimatum to either call or my camper would be towed. I truly am a person who wants to be part of the solution. However there is no possibly way for me to understand this kind of stupid disrespectful response. I tried to contact the number that had called my cell phone, no response. I left the softball game and returned to the camp site where the office was closed and no one was around. No follow up or explanation, later in the evening I observed the camp host or owner driving through, he never stopped or made any kind of attempt to address the situation. Obviously he had found the mistake and instead of being a man he chose to avoid the situation as a coward and a man of low honor. Obviously very disappointed when anyone behaves in this type of manner. I will not return and will post this review on multiple sites. Also will contact owner or property management on Monday. Can you imagine, being given an ultimatum to rapidly return a phone call or my home would be towed after I had already paid. Very sad. read more

The pictures shown advertising this park are deceiving as they show an environment with nice trees and pleasant sites. They put us in a smell and narrow asphalt site with no picnic table or grass. The site was so close to the next door neighbors that we were able to see into their RV. We kept our shades down. There was barely enough room for the slides. The staff was less than helpful. The office manager told us that the back treed area was full and our coach was the largest one she had ever seen and would not fit. We took a ride down in the trees and saw many empty sites and a coach just like ours. So much for truth. On arrival, we turned in front of the office. A staff member on a golf cart didn't bother to tell us that this was the wrong way to go. Later the office manager told us that this happens all the time. So change the signs! Many long term residents with junk cars and falling apart trailers. One had 5 large propane tanks in the front of it. We did not feel safe with the clientele or the surrounding busy and rundown business area. WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STAYING ANYWHERE NEAR THIS SO CALLED RV PARK read more

Wifi speed tested at 25mg down, 6mg up. I've never seen Rv park wifi with that kind of bandwidth.in a dozen states this is the first wifi to come in above 2mg. Very nice folks running it. This is probably the worst RV Park we've ever stayed in. Gave it one star because it was open (rare prior to 4/15) . We had reservations for a Sunday. Over the phone I was told not to show up prior to 1pm. Pulled in at 1:03pm to find a note on the door saying, back at 2:30. Found envelopes in a box near the front door, basically saying, find a spot, fill the form out, bathroom and WIFI codes are... sites were full of ice and uneven. The codes to the both bathroom and WIFI were incorrect. Picked a site, threw salt down, and went into town to eat and use the bathroom. Returned at 3pm only to discover no one works in office on Sundays. Called emergency phone number (water is shut off in entire park, so this is a bathroom emergency) a surly guy brought us a special TV changer (apparently the only way to watch TV) and laughed and said the codes get changed monthly, and hadn't been changed on the office notes. Glad he thought it was funny! Bathrooms were clean, but only one shower worked in the women's restroom. This park has over 400 sites; one women's shower is not sufficient when that is the only water source! Went to return the special TV remote (no local channels, nor weather channel) but slot was glued shut! Fortunately, some guy said he'd take, as he appeared to be entering the back office. DO NOT GO HERE!! Rude staff, unattended office, uneven sites, not maintained sites, insufficient amount of bathrooms. They took our money over the phone, and said, no matter, no refunds. At the time I found that statement weird, especially how she worded it. Now I know why! Oh, the answering machine informed us if there were any problems to notify camp host. There is a HUGE sign on their door that says, "DO NOT DISTURB CAMP HOST!!!" What a joke of a park! read more

This place is right off the highway. The patch of grass that we used during our tent-camp stay was in the middle of a lot of RVs. It felt like they were all facing us and so it was not a very private area. The grounds our tent was on was also where it seemed many had walked their dogs (we are hoping all poop was picked up- would have appreciated sign saying do not walk pets.) Other than that, it was not rocky in the grass and price was reasonable. If what we said does not bother you, would recommend. read more
