I am so disappointed in this gallery. My husband bought be a beautiful emerald and white sapphire necklace for over $3,000 for our anniversary. After only a few months, we noticed one of the emeralds had fallen out. The associate who helped us was immediately apologetic, and took the necklace back promising to get it fixed as soon as possible. However the gallery owner has now decided they will not do that and we are out of luck. They state they have a 30 day return policy and if the setting is defective after 30 days they won't do anything about it. read more

I don't know about the authenticity of things. This place has some really unique pieces. Including meteorites! For sale. What I loved the most was the treatment of my bouncy 4 yr old. There are two "touching stations" where she could touch all the stones to her delight. And also she could pick an animal "to take care of for the day." The shopkeeper was sooo sweet and didn't rush us whatsoever. We bought a small stone and otherwise enjoyed the visit a lot. I did notice an awesome assortment of stands - useful if you buy something but tbh for anything you want to display in your house. read more

I visited this shop with my little girl, who developed a passion for gathering rocks during our short vacation in Oak Creek and Sedona and decided she wanted to be an earth scientist. When I told the clerk my little girl had a $10 budget to spend on her new passion, she directed my daughter to a surprisingly large selection of items that would fit a 7-year-old's tiny budget. The salesperson treated my daughter, with her little allowance, as well as any of the reviewers here who boast that they could "buy half the store." To top it off, the salesperson saw my daughter was having trouble choosing from so many treasures, and GAVE my daughter a complimentary geode to take home and break open. She gave my daughter INSPIRATION, which is priceless. I would absolutely go here again. What great service! read more

BEWARE. Still a one star. Finally heard back. Of course they where surprised I "only contacted them in March " for a breakage in January. What bs. A $400 piece whether it breaks one month or 3 from purchase should not matter. But I what that shows you is the lack of integrity of the owners and their sales dude Greg who sold me the piece. Excuses and waffling. Be that as it may --my jeweler in Santa Fe fixed the "unfinished " $400 cheaply imported garnet necklace for $50. Gee, if only Touchstone cared and wasn't so passive aggressive for virtually nothing to they could have repair d the piece and could have had a satisfied customer except it was --Gee sorry we only heard about it March. Blah blah. So just beware. Not only does it appear their goods are suspect ( especially those imported), but their integrity in making it right is also suspect. This leads me to believe lack of integrity and honesty in smaller cost items means all you who buy the big ticket items better check you're not a tourist Patsy and get those items checked/ appraised before buying. My mistake was cheap to fix, yours may not be. read more

We spent about an hour at this store. So many unique and interesting pieces to look at. The ladies at the store were very friendly and helpful. Checking back to see if we had any questions. The store is clean, well-lit and items are displayed openly so you can touch and feel them. Of course, smaller pieces like jewelry are in glass display cases, but the staff walk around the store in case you need assistance. The store offers an assortment of minerals, fossils, jewelry and large mineral and fossil wall art and decor. I could have spent an entire afternoon here just looking through all their pieces of minerals and fossils (including skull caps, bones, predator teeth). We purchased a few smaller pieces of minerals and happy with our purchases! read more

The woman working with the short hair is assumptive and arrogant. Her attitude is off putting. I was shooting photos and she let me know it was only 2 that I was allowed. I didn't see the sign. I understand policy. She was rude in her tone and told me not to take it personally. I don't take the policy personally. But I do take her need to speak down personally. She had no idea who I am. My husband could have purchased half the store for me if I desired. I won't buy anything from a location that encourages behavior like hers. read more

What an amazing store! The fossils were incredible and the gems and stones beautiful. We didn't end up buying anything but plan to return to purchase something for our home. I visited this lovely gallery in fall 2017 and ended up buying 5 pairs of earrings during my week vacation. Last week, I was back in Sedona for another week and wore my favorite earrings of sterling and Peridot; they were my favorite of the 5 pairs I bought. I went in to Touchstone, greeted Greg who helped me last fall and pointed out I was wearing a pair of the earrings I bought last fall. He thanked me for coming back but didn't ask if he could assist me. I saw a necklace I wanted to think about, planning to return to possibly buy it. That evening while at dinner, I touched my left ear to find my earring was missing! My friend said she was sure I was wearing both that day. I hoped perhaps I didn't put it on and it was back at our condo. When we came home after dinner, I rang Touchstone and Greg answered. I told him the problem and he said "no one turned in an earring". He never asked my name or phone number. I also called the restaurant, Open Range Grill where we ate early that day and they said no one turned in an earring; the mgr asked for my name and number and the description of the earring in case they did find it. That was so nice. First thing the next morning we went into Touchstone and a woman, Taimi (sp) was there and I asked for Greg. She said he was in the office; I could see an office with the door open. I showed her the remaining earring asking if they could contact the maker and see if I could get one earring or maybe another pair. She was hesitant and wouldn't commit to a yes or no. I asked to speak to Greg again and she went into the opened door office and closed it. A couple minutes she came out and literally looked at us and said "NO!" Greg would not come out and speak to me. ????? She then said "you can always make a pendant out of it". I asked her reasonably "someone made these so why can't the artist be contacted to make another one or another pair for which I was willing to pay?" She replied "they're last years product". WHAT?!?!?! They did NOT care one bit and as I went from business to business in their complex, every single person with whom I spoke, listened and said they hoped I found it. Very kind, UNLIKE the people at Touchstone. Needless to say, I did not buy the Peridot necklace I planned to purchase from them. Perhaps if someone does turn my earring in, Touchstone can make a pendant and sell it! There was a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for me after all....after visiting about 6 jewelry stores, showing my remaining earring, no one had anything like it. My friend said "we're going to one more place"....It was in the Tlaquepaque Village where we had also been last fall. To my huge surprise as we approached the shop, I remembered it and the lovely ladies there. We walked in and the lady recognized us since we spent considerable time there last year talking and playing with her dogs. I didn't buy anything there last year. When I showed her my remaining earring, her face lit up like the sun and she came to me, took my arm and showed me to a glass case and to my joy, there was a pair of sterling/Peridot earrings with even bigger stones. I thought I would faint and started to cry (silly but those were my favorite earrings). I said "SOLD" and she hugged me and my friend!!! She gave me some little clear rubber backs to slide on the ear wire to keep them safe; I'd never heard of these things! I also bought 2 necklaces from her. She was as happy as I was that she had the earrings I sought! She said "it's Karma, you're a good person". I'm so thankful to my friend for thinking of going there! read more

The Touchstone is Gallery indeed and, in spite of being small, you can spend quality time wandering in amazement among tastefully arranged wonders of nature. The staff was friendly, helpful, with no hint of pressure to buy and lot of patience answering numerous questions from a couple not always agreeing between themselves. We have special commendations for Steve and Carmen. We ended buying two absolutely beautiful vases which we will enjoy for years to come and then will pass on to our children. read more
