Let's start with the ease of booking and she was calling me right on time for our first-of-the-day appointment. I was only 4 minutes late, and her punctuality was a breath of fresh air. The shop is clean, people wear masks, and there's WiFi!! Suite B Room 4 is a bit hard to find - downstairs and near a number of other businesses. Dina listened to all my issues and took them into account while installing my twists. Without exposing myself too much, I'm tender-headed. For those who don't know, tender-headedness is an episodic chronic pain phenomenon, #smh #toooldforthis She didn't braid too tight and the work is super neat. I'm so excited to flaunt my new look. They are super quick too. Like hella fast (#CaliGyal). I. Grateful once agin for the Yelp community guiding me through life. This is a Black female owned business! Thanks Yelp for focusing our attentions to improve our collective experience.

I reached out two days in advance on Yelp and she responded immediately about her availability and also about the type of hairstyle I wanted. During my appointment she was nice, funny, and allowed me to relax. I never have a good experience with getting braids, even weaves done in the DC/MD area, typically the braider is rude, they pull your hair, and just overall very very unprofessional but Dina was the complete opposite. So, I will be going back and I've already recommended her to some of my girlfriends. She is now my new permanent hair stylist in the area!!!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience…read more I actually went to Andrea years ago and stopped using her because of her poor customer service. I decided to give her another chance, hoping things had improved. Unfortunately, they had not. I paid for a sew-in installation and within a two days noticed that the top was very bumpy, uneven, and not laying flat. The issue was obvious in photos and noticeable enough that others commented on it. I reached out promptly, sent pictures, and politely asked if she could fix it. Rather than taking accountability or offering a solution, she acknowledged the issue by telling me the wefts were thick. As the professional, if the hair was going to create a bulky or uneven result, that should have been communicated before completing the service. At no point was I advised that the finished product would look the way it did. When I asked if it could be fixed, I was ignored. After following up, I was met with a dismissive response about not discussing work on her days off and was told she would revisit the issue the next day. She never followed up, never offered a correction, and never attempted to make the situation right. The most disappointing part wasn't even the hair--it was the customer service. Mistakes happen, but professionalism is demonstrated by how you handle them. Instead of addressing a legitimate concern from a paying customer, I was left feeling dismissed and ignored. Because the issue was never resolved, I had to pay an additional $190 to another stylist to remove and redo the installation (@sheweaves). She installed the exact same hair and my install is SUPER flat. I gave this business a second chance despite my previous concerns about customer service, and unfortunately the experience confirmed why I stopped going in the first place. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this stylist and will be filing complaints with the appropriate consumer protection agencies regarding the handling of this matter.
