Came in while in Cape COD. I mean you can't visit without getting a Cape bracelet!! These are such beauties. Upon walking in I was greeted and helped. She helped me try on the bracelets and even got me sized for the correct fitting. Great service! Ended up purchasing 3. 2 for me and 1 for my mom for her birthday. I stop in here multiple times a year to let my kids pick out a toy or book because they have such a nice selection. This year, as my 5 year old was picking out a book, my one year old was in a baby backpack on my back and reached over and knocked a glass off of the shelf which ended up smashing on the ground. When I told the lady and offered to pay she scoffed multiple times and asked why I would bring a baby into her store. Everyone around us had their jaws dropped including the other cashiers. Gross behavior and you have permanently lost a repeat customer. I'm not sure why you'd have a toy section in a store where you don't want children. I'm almost relieved after reading other reviews on here that I'm not the only one who was stunned by her behavior. read more

I came here to purchase a cape cod single ball bracelet. As I'm trying on my bracelet size, the woman helping me is saying that a woman may come back in to get this bracelet. I nicely respond saying is there another so I can have this sale and she can make another. Seemed like an unnecessary comment when I'm already wearing/trying on the bracelet. I loved it, I have wanted this bracelet for a long time, but only purchased it here because I was leaving the cape that night. Rushed for time, definitely would have purchased it elsewhere. The woman cut off the tag once I said I loved it, ready to buy. As I was at the register, she tells me the price. 240. I bought it but after extensive research I should have not paid that for a cape cod single ball bracelet. Shocked by the price, she explained it was because the price of gold and silver went up. However, it didn't go up that much for a price like that. Essentially I feel like I got ripped off. Great bracelet, just don't buy it here. read more

I went to Touché to buy a Christmas gift. An employee was standing by the door, zero greeting. As I am looking around she is less than a foot away from me no matter what I was looking at. Sometimes moving things, sometimes staring. I asked her if I was in her way (I was the only customer in the store), and she replied no. A few seconds later she is back on top of me and telling me that she is not following me. I told her it certainly looked that way. If I didn't need a quick gift, I would have walked out. I picked my purchase and went to the register. The woman behind the register greets me with, "I didn't know there was a customer in the store." (It is right before Christmas at 3pm) I mentioned the other employee knew I was there as I appeared to always be in her way. No apology, no comment. I realize shoplifting is a problem with small businesses but I had a small crossbody bag on and a short jacket. I was not carrying any bags. I also realize retail is a difficult job but if you are going to treat customers like this, you are discouraging business. I am not a regular customer but I do shop there 4 or 5 times a year. Great selection of "funky" jewerly. They also have clothes and a large selection of beads if your into mixing and matching your string of beads. Their "sea" jewerly offers lots to choose from if you want a beachy reminder. They also have a large collection of children's clothes and gifts. read more

Not a fan at all. Reasons why: 1. The choking smell of cheap Made-in-China shoes that made my eyes water and asthma worse once I walked into the store. 2. The abundance of buy-anywhere jewelry that you can get in any mall or shop along the street. Not unique by any means. 3. The super rude saleswomen. Just because I'm dressed in jeans and a khaki coat doesn't give you the right to ignore me, assume I don't have money or look down your nose at me. And 4. Their ridiculously overpriced knock-off Cape Cod Bracelets that sell even more than the ones you find at Eden (the original genuine manufacturer) and 3 times as much as what you'd pay for the same knock-off on ebay or amazon. Oh yeah, and the fictitious stories they told my sister about the history of the Cape Cod Bracelet (you can find the real history by googling it) just so she would buy it. Definitely a tourist trap. read more

What is with Yelp reviews--do they take down the good ones or is it just a site for complainers? This is a lovely little place with a variety of jewelry and clothing. It is for the more mature woman generally, plus some kids stuff. Staff has always been pleasant, even to eating customers with sandy flip flops. I have bought sandals and clothes here--capris and a dress--and happy with the purchases. read more

Sad to say on this Small Business Saturday, but I will not be returning to Touche. My interaction with the owner was less than satisfactory, to say the least. I had bought an item about 6 weeks ago and did not have the receipt (and I usually have EVERY receipt but, of course, could not find the one I needed). At any rate, the owner was less than friendly, was dismissive and almost combative. There was no need of this -- the item still had all the tags, was in great shape, could have easily been sold again at the price I paid for it ($75), and I was calm, friendly, and non-demanding. Most of the small business owners I know and whose places I shop go out of the way to connect with customers and treat them courteously and respectfully -- certainly not the case here. I doubt this review will make a difference and I am usually one to find the glass half full but I felt strongly enough to voice my dissatisfaction. read more
