Inside you'll find many treasures, from recycled hand-blown glass dishes and candle holders, to jewelry, to home goods like dishes and silverware and scent diffusers with sea shell bases, to local art like paintings, sea shell art in frames, glass figurines, and recycled metal wind chimes from a retired firefighter. Homespun Garden sets itself apart from the typical tourist/souvenir spots because it offers unique gifts from local artists and jewelers that cannot be found anywhere else. You can also make your own beach sign--anything you want on it!! The staff at Homespun Garden is supremely kind, efficient, and hard-working. The three women running the shop when I visited were very nice and helped me to look at jewelry and wrapped my fragile gifts in bubble wrap and tissue paper to ensure their safety for travel. Each was very personable and helpful. They went out of their way to help me and to package my purchases. They seemed to really appreciate my business!! On the receipt it clearly states purchased item can be returned and exchanged within 30 days of purchase, it must be in as-new condition, unworn, and unwashed. I had hardly used it for an hour, it was too small for me. It was in all clean condition and when I went to them first time to request for an exchange she said they can't return it because i used/wore it and they had cut the tags from it. I said politely that's okay and left the store. After I walked back to my room I read the receipt which had the return policy on it. I went back to the store and asked her to read and follow the return policy. But she started gaslighting me. And psychologically attacked me in front of other customers. "She kept saying I 'wore' it pointing at 'unworn' word on the bill, and that they cut the tags." I had to educate her on the difference between worn and wore. I googled the definition of worn-off in front of her and insisted where does the return policy speak about the tag and wore? She kept saying you wore it, twisting wore with worn as if I was an uneducated individual. Sad part is that I was only going to exchange the item but returned it due her ignorant and shameful attitude towards a tourist from a different race and color. She must have thought of me to not be so well read and well-traveled. After fighting for it, she eventually returned and reimbursed me the money. Why did she it does it then if it wasn't the policy and I wore it and cut the tags? So clearly, she was manipulating and trying to scam me. Fraud! There clearly is a racist perspective to the incident. Humans are programmed to think about other humans who appear to be different than their race differently. It's just the science of human psychology and human brain signalling (neuroscience) and telling us to act differently. I regretted doing purchases from your store in Provincetown. In fact if the store was nearby where I live, I'd return other purchased items. Extremely traumatizing, shameful and ignorant experience I had.

It's like a Spencer's gifts but cleaner, organized and much better curated. It's run by people who appreciate unique home and kitchen decor. They've got everything from drink mixes to vintage/weird sodas to edible bugs and local souvenirs. It's a little tight so make sure to watch the kids because it's very stimulating for little ones. Lots of funny tongue and cheek gifts. It's a cool place to find interactive gifts like popcorn flights w/ shake toppings, joke gifts, cast iron trinkets. They also sell local souvenirs w/ zip codes and names adorned to towels and stickers. I always bring visitors here and will get pickle flavored sodas for my nieces and nephews to try.

O this visit, we went in just to browse with little intent to buy. But we found a perfect memento of this trip, something we actually needed, a new wall clock for my husband's study. It has a topographic map of Woods Hole as the background clock face and has a frame of copper. It was not terribly expensive but is a novelty for our home and seems to be working well. The staff was incredibly informative about current goods from an artist we have bought in the past. There was some very pretty natural themed jewelry that in the past I probably would have purchased but probably do not have a real need now. I did pick up some note cards by a local artist as those are always useful. When we return to Woods Hole in the future we will undoubtedly return to this shop. We always do.
