I had an excellent experience with Touch Up Specialist! Japheth did an amazing job, and the touch up results exceeded my expectations. My car looked good as new. The work was completed with great attention to detail. Japheth is professional, punctual, efficient, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. If you are looking for someone who is skilled, reliable, and knowledgeable, I highly recommend Touch Up Specialist. Thanks again, Japheth.
We have a white Mazda CX-5 that got hit with a grocery cart, which caused several paint chips on one of the doors and the metal was showing through. I tried to touch them up myself with a Mazda paint pen, but the pearl white color didn't touch up well and it looked WAY worse after I did that. I was so bummed. I found Japeth on Yelp and he said he could do a full repair, or just touch-up to hide the chips. If he did a touch-up, he could fix what I had done with the paint pen and he would also go around the entire car and touch-up every other chip and scratch on the car for only $175. My husband and I were really happy to hear that price because we were on a budget, so we booked him. Because we only wanted to pay for touch-up (not full repair), Japeth set our expectations by making it clear beforehand that it wasn't going to look perfect. He said the paint would match 90-95% and you would still be able to see the chips if you got close up, but we were totally fine with that. We just wanted the paint to look better and to not see any exposed metal. He came to our house and did the touch-up painting in our garage in about an hour and a half. (There were a lot of chips and scratches beyond what's in the pics.) When he was done, we were amazed with how well it turned out! Japeth fixed the mess I made with the paint pen and matched the pearl white color almost perfectly. He even buffed out some large marks that didn't require painting. Yes, you can see the outline of the bigger chips if you get really close up, but they don't catch your eye at all. And the smaller chips that he touched up are almost invisible. Now, you just see a white car. It was totally worth $175! I wish I had taken more "Before" pics, but the three I am attaching show the huge difference to the "After" pics. Additionally, I referred Japeth to my mom who hired him too. She has a white Honda and the bumper looked horrible with big chips and scratches all over it. She also had small chips on the rest of her car and her side mirror looked really bad. She had Japeth do a full repair on her bumper as well as the touch-ups to the rest of her car, so she paid $425. Still a great price! Japeth made her bumper look brand new! And you can't see all the other chips and scratch touch-ups unless you get very, very close. Her car looks amazing! I can't rave enough about Japeth's work. Whether you are on a tight budget and can only afford the touch-up service like we did, or have more money to spend for a real repair like my mom did, Japeth is your guy!
Can't say enough great things about these guys. I initially spoke with the main dude Japheth, but since he was booked until the following week, he referred me to his colleague Paul, who did a flawless job as you can tell from the pics. After months of research, Touch Up Specialist had the best price and the shortest turnaround time while they also come to you. Don't let these traditional body shops tell you that ALL mobile body work businesses are no good because that definitely isn't the case for these dudes, who have been doing this for 30 years, and it shows. Also with Paul, after finishing the rear bumper, dude went the extra mile and painted minor chips around the car, which I really appreciated. Touch Up Specialist is now my go to.
I had a rock chip right on the corner of the door pillar. I had previously taken it to a detail shop who did a terrible job but it was sealed so I didn't care. Within a year it flaked off and started rusting. I'm glad I came across Japeth/touch up specialist. It looks perfect, I can't even tell the rock chip was ever there and my car is black, which is very hard to cover up. If you want the job done right don't bother going to anyone else!
I had two scratches that needed fixed. Messaged Japheth and he came the next morning. He was very professional and took the time to explain the process before starting. Paint looks brand new. Highly recommended.
I'd never used one of these bumper repair businesses before. We bought a used car from a friend that needed some reconditioning, including dent and bumper repairs. I had a dent guy I've used for the past several years and when he was here he recommended Japeth. When I requested a quote, he asked for pictures and quickly replied with the price. His communication was outstanding and he arrived within minutes of his estimated arrival time. He comes from San Diego and I'm in Carlsbad, so traffic can be a real bear. The process was so convenient. He set up in my driveway and in about three hours, he was done! The bumper looks new again. I hope I don't need his services soon, but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to use him again. I would also have no concerns recommending him to friends. If he's good enough for the Mercedes dealers, he's great for me.
I had a scrape from a garage door on my Mercedes CLS 550. I was terrified of having a touch up specialist come to my home to paint it. Especially when Mercedes does not even sell this pearl paint in a touch up bottle. Japheth showed up on time and in less than three hours, my bumper looked like new.

It's very rare to find a business with 5 stars and great reviews yet here we are! Today we had Touch Up Specialist repair some dents and scratches on our Tesla. He is reliable, dependable and completed the work at our home in a matter of hours. See the before and after photos. We received his name from a trusted friend. He was honest, professional and reasonably-priced. We recommend TUS for auto body repairs! read more

I recently scratched the side of my black car against my garage stucco (so frustrating ), plus I had a few older dings and scratches that had been bothering me for a while. My Subaru is about 6 years old, and every time I saw those marks, it drove me crazy. I was honestly considering trying to buff it out myself with YouTube videos... but a friend quickly talked me out of that (probably for the best!). I found Japheth's business, Touch Up Specialist, on Yelp and reached out. He responded quickly with a quote, and we were able to agree on a very reasonable price for the work I needed. He was also great with communication--he even texted a reminder the day before, which I really appreciated. He was friendly and professional, and you could tell he really takes pride in his work. He didn't rush at all and paid close attention to detail. He mentioned he's been doing this for 30 years and even does work for dealerships--which definitely shows in the quality. Honestly, I did not expect my car to look as good as it did when he finished. The scratches were blended and camouflaged so well that I can barely see them now. I'm seriously so happy with the results. I also loved that he's mobile--it made everything so convenient since I could stay home and get things done while he worked on my car. Overall, Japheth seems like a genuinely honest and trustworthy person, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. Thanks again, Japheth! read more

These guys and specifically Japheth (J-Fifth) did a fantastic job on two, white Tesla Model 3s. We had three bumpers worth of damage between the two cars plus a bunch of paint chipping and scuff marks in multiple places. He knocked it all out in about 5 hours and the cars literally look brand-new again (one car is a 2020, the other is a 2021). Super easy to work with, great text communication, and extremely reasonable price as well. Highly recommend, thanks Japheth! Henry read more

Excellent service and results! It really looks like nothing happened to our car. I scratched the right back area against the garage door trying to park it in one turn instead of a 3 point turn (husband was mad even though he didn't say it). See the before and after results. Japheth did an amazing job! Prompt, professional, and made it look like new! Plus, he responded with quotes right away. Hopefully we won't need to fix another big scratch but if we do, we're definitely going to use Touch Up Specialist for future services. Thanks Japheth! The husband isn't mad anymore :) read more

Japheth was amazing! He did magic. He was professional, timely and communicative. He was reasonable in his pricing and he was able to accommodate me for my needs. The color of the car was unique; it was a pearl white and he was able to match exactly that so it's well blended with the rest of the car. Japheth was awesome! Fast and easy quote process with very reasonable pricing. He was right on time and the whole process took about two hours. He did an excellent job fixing the deep scratch on my rear lift gate and matched the paint perfectly. Repeat customer here! Once again, Japheth has worked miracles on what suddenly appeared as a strange paint defect on my black car. He said he thought it was a stain caused by bird poop, and after thinking about I realized he was right! Did some wet sanding and touch ups of that spot and several others for a reasonable price. His workmanship saved me from having to get the whole panel repainted. Whew! Before and after photos are attached. read more

This guy is awesome! Showed up to my house right on time. Sanded down, primed, painted, and top coat in about 2 and a half hours. I honestly didn't know what to expect but he mixed the paint right there on the spot. My car is a tri coat and he did it all. No shortcuts. I scratched my bumper against my garage one day. I tried ordering paint correcting pens but didn't trust myself with doing a good job after multiple attempts on paper. But I am extremely pleased with the paint job. Everything was even and even the pearl coat is even with the rest of the car. Thank you so much! But I hope I don't have to need your service anymore. But if I do I know who to call. read more

If you want the highest quality paint & color/repair for any paint related vehicle damage, make an appointment with Japheth! If you have a job where "paint" repair is all you need (i.e. no dent, ding, or body damage sustained), you won't find higher quality craftsmanship, reasonable job estimate, or better overall customer experience than Touch Up Specialist. I just had our minivan repaired from a fender bender in which the other driver had accidentally hit our vehicle. Attached are a few before & after photos of the damage and the subsequent repair. Japheth was up front on the estimate, was very communicative prior to our appointment with him, friendly upon arrival, and very professional. His mobile paint shop (i.e. truck) is very well maintained and organized, much more so than many body shops I've seen in town. All in all, not a single complaint, yet a ton of praise for his work, the time he took to do it, he's super duper efficient, and friendly on top of it all! Touch Up Specialist is a business we'll definitely use again if needed. read more
