I'm surprised to see this salon has such great reviews. They didn't pick up a single one of my phone calls. I've been calling for 4+ days and I'm pretty sure one day ignored my call and sent it straight to voicemail. I'm new to the area and wanted to find a new waxing studio. Walk up the stairway and there is a sweet little waiting room with a beautiful rug and couch. :-) Touch is to the left through the beautiful wooden double doors. Just knock if there is no a do not disturb sign. Appointments are necessary. My previous review is below and I am a bit embarrassed for going in so hard yesterday. It was just a communication error and when my time is wasted, I get very upset, as my time is extremely valuable. Rachel fully made it up with her swift and almost painless Brazilian! Wow! Impressed to say the very least! I have extremely sensitive skin too! I also have to say I am thoroughly impressed and prepaid for 2 more Brazilian waxes after her impeccable work was finished! I also had my eyebrows done and perfection once again! Yesss! I found my artist and close to home! It's only a 25 minute drive for me and I have been going all the way to the east bay! Yesterday, there was an error in my appointment date and she took full responsibility, apologized and even apologized again when I came in. That speaks volumes! I had been there for over 45 mins and no one had even spoke to me. My appointment was scheduled for 1030. I had meter parked my car and even ended up parking In the mall after going back to the meter twice. I even wrote a note just in case someone came out, no one did. After waiting almost an hour, I decided to interrupt, the woman was a hairdresser and maybe not part of touch? I'm not sure, she asked me if I knocked on the brown double doors, it has a do not disturb on it. She then text and called Rachel, who told this other woman that my appointment is tomorrow. There had been a mix up in scheduling. I said I will come back tomorrow at 1030. I am looking forward to tomorrow and checking out Rachel's skills. Purchased a Groupon for a Brazilian with Shawna. Groupon is a great way to find a good esthetician! I'm a Brazilian veteran during the summer and Shawna did excellent work. She used two different waxing methods, no bruising or redness!!!!! It took under a 1/2 hour and was virtually painless. I'm sorry, I'm sure Rachael is a nice person, but I will not be back again. I did not have a pleasant experience here. I arrived 5 minutes early to the top of the stairs & a lone chair sitting next to a sign saying not to come inside. The "lobby" is a dump - complete with unfinished construction, garbage, and stained & dirty carpet. I sat & waited 10 more minutes. The door opened & someone shoved a questionnaire at me. I completed it & continued to wait. When she opened the door, she didn't even look at me, greet me, or say anything other than, "Are you my 2:00 o'clock? Go over there & undress everything". I did, and she continued to text on her phone, came in around the side of hanging fabric "doors" and asked how much I wanted removed. She did pause at this point & say she was Rachael. **This was the most excruciating waxing I have ever had. She was so rough with the application that it was almost more painful than the wax removal!** It seemed like she had somewhere to go & needed to get out of there fast. I had patches of hair left. Her cell phone rang & chimed constantly - I might consider turning off the sound. It would seem more relaxing for guests. The good news for those of you considering going in: She did use a new table paper for me, she did wear gloves, & she did not double dip. Her prices are on par with many other waxing studios. I'm sorry if she was rushed that day or I just happened to get her on a bad day. I get it, we all have them. I would rather have been told there was an emergency than have had that Brazilian that day. :( read more

I have had several Brazilian waxes from Rachael and absolutely no problems. She's polite and professional. THEY CANT ANSWER THE PHONE WHILE WORKING SO I SUGGEST TEXTING FOR ANYONE NOT GETTING THRU...She gets back to me fast and can slip me in if I need something, and she has been very flexible with me as I'm disabled and sometimes have to change my appointments! How your skin reacts is about your skin and how you treat it. There are products available for angry skin or to prevent In grown hair. They can't always get them all bc your hair cycles are all different. My advice for Brazilian is take a long shower or bath prior to going, hair comes out much easier. Then don't bath for 24 hours . If you want the best results wax every 4-6 weeks and you will soon notice less hair, finer hair. I've been doing this for 15 years and it all depends on how YOU treat your skin My waxes take 20 minutes now, not painful if you soak in water, I have CHRONIC Pain so I wouldn't DO IT if it hurt me! read more

More recently I received a spray tan from Rachel. I have gotten many many spray tans in my day and this was by far the best. She again made me feel super comfortable and was fast and efficient. Maybe it is just the people who have a Groupon voucher but I called about 10 times over a 3 day period (at different times of the day) so I could make an appointment with anyone. My phone calls were not returned and I was left frustrated annoyed and disappointed with the salons lack of effort to return new clients phone calls. I work in the nail industry I understand that salons get busy people can't get back to you right away, but 3 days is not reasonable. doing this to a new potential client is unacceptable and reflects poorly upon the business. I am lucky to have a friend who recommended Alyssa Greiner to me! After my go to brow lady name Heather left Benefit, I went to another women at Benefit who completely mess my brows up (thinned it out and didn't give it shape). I finally decided to give Alyssa a try after the traumatizing wax. She made my brow look so great! I'm the type of customer who doesn't like to just sit there. I'm a talking type and have encounter people who are quiet and it's awkward. Alyssa is so talkative, sweet, and can be herself in front of customers (obviously in a professional way). Thought it would be fun to take my 13 year old daughter in for a facial. What a great place to sit and relax. Not sure what Emily L. was talking about as I just had a spray tan on Friday at Touch Face and have been there several times previously and have always had fabulous results. I don't know where the idea of lotion came in as this has never been used on any spray tan I have gotten anywhere. You are supposed to exfoliate and avoid lotion, maybe this is why the previous person had issues. Needless to say Shawna is great! Rachel has done spray tans on me too and they are both awesome.
