Most recently I went in and couldn't find what I was looking for. Despite being the only customer in the entire store, I could not get anyone to help. Evidently looking at pictures on their phones was much more important than actually assisting a customer. There's a similar store (Jolley's) down the street and their staff is always so cordial. I feel like driving a bit further is worth it at this point.

Well with a return policy of 2 days and a mistake on the gender of the baby I am now stuck with a gift that won't work for a baby boy and the clerk did check with her manager to see if I could get even store credit and the answer was NO. A 2 day return policy is quite ridiculous and I would rather spend my money elsewhere where being a loyal customer means something. All tags were still attached never even taken out of the gift box. I indicated my disappointment and how insulted I was and my wife put back the items she was going to purchase and we left. She added insult to injury by calling the police and having them come and stop me on the street (by this time she discovered on her cameras that I did not in fact take anything). So I apologize for wasting our law enforcement's time and I am very grateful for their courtesy and rapid response. But I would never recommend or shop at Whisperwood Boutique again.

Everything is so urgent, or so important, or so technological, or so modern. So if you've fallen out of touch with your whimsical side, perhaps it's time to stop in here. A dyed in the wool bookstore it is not. There are much more than books in this nook. Fanciful things, clothing items, toys, games, and things that will have your kids eyeballs lighting up and you watching their hands very closely. But there are storybooks that you can peruse. In a world of in-the-car DVD players and elementary school kids with cell phones it's nice to know someone is still selling the printed word. Totally exempt from technology it is not, but maybe a hair simpler than a big-box kids store. Selection isn't fantastic, but again, it's more about the experience that rifling through the shelves going after a specific title. Cruise in a few minutes and see what tickles your fancy. Buy a book and read it to your kids--or have them read it to you. Remember when that was enough?
