Review of Nordstrom Rack - Salt Lake City (11/22/2025) On…read moreSaturday, November 22, 2025, I was shopping at the Nordstrom Rack in Farmington and realized they didn't have the size I needed in a pair of Max Studio pants. When I got home, I called the Salt Lake store to see if they might have them. The woman they connected me with in the women's department--around 5:00 PM--was incredibly helpful. She checked the computer, saw the pants were not available online, and kindly asked if I would hold while she had someone check the floor. She not only found the pants in the size I needed, but also located the matching jacket. I was so grateful for the time and effort she put in. Since they weren't able to hold the items, I drove from Layton to the Salt Lake store right away. Fortunately, the items were there when I arrived, and I was able to make my purchase. (My purchase experience is a different story--see separate review.) Thank you, Nordstrom, for training your employees so well. This young lady was efficient, attentive, and just as capable as the staff at the full-line Nordstrom stores. Her help truly made my day.

Parking here isn't great, but we managed to find a spot. The selection is large with lots of deals…read more My husband needed some new shoes for work, and they had the brand he wanted for a lot less. This location has a lot of clearance and big mark downs. Some things are a little more expensive, but they are still way less than at the normal department store. The lady checking us out moved slowly and continued to push us to buy the Nordstrom credit card after we repeatedly said no. A little annoying but no biggie since I know it's her job.

Came to this location because online it said my size was in stock here but alas when I arrived it was gone. The woman who helped me was able to find a sweater with a similar fit for me to try on so I would know whether the size I intended to order would fit to avoid having to drive back to return it if it didn't. She also was able to order it for me and it turns out if you place your order at the store instead of online it was free shipping (not sure whether that was a promotion or whether that's standard but it makes me want to come back here again). Store is clean and well organized. Would come again.

The accessories selection is okay-but there isn't much in the way of "nickel free" or "hypoallergenic" jewelry which is a must for sensitive skinned girls like me. Also the lingerie selection is a bit small but that's not the primary reason to shop here. The do carry a decent shoe selection but don't expect them to stock for every size-especially bigger sizes which are relatively absent. Store layout is pretty basic-which I feel they could jazz it up a bit more and make it even more attractive and fun. Staff is usually a little shy but friendly and helpful enough to suit. The cashier worked at a glacial pace, showing no urgency whatsoever. On top of that, they did not accept cash that night, which is absolutely ridiculous. The store itself was clean and organized, but the customer service was awful. The manager on duty clearly saw the long wait at the registers multiple times and did absolutely nothing. It's clear that customer service is not a priority here. Don't waste your time--this location sucks.

Of all the thrift shops we visited, this one might be my favorite. There's a local flair-artisan products, accessories, etc. It's got an upscale and edgy boutique feel. But then you descend the staircase down a few decades to the thrift portion of the store-where you'll find even more treasures. I have always loved the fashion of the 1960's and there were plenty of adorable dresses and scarves that represent the era well. I shed a tear that my giant feet wouldn't fit in the beautiful Jimmy Choos that were on the shelf (seriously-if you're a 7 1/2, get there quick before someone snags them!)
