I can't say it was particularly clean. The bathroom was kind of icky. No one had cleaned up towels off the floor, toilet paper wadded up on the floor next to the toilet, etc. Granted, we were there at 5 pm, so there had probably been a Saturday rush tearing the place up, but employees should do a better job of tidying up. Maybe there aren't enough on a shift, idk. The inventory was definitely picked over and it honestly looked like somebody just dumped a bucket of junk out across some of the shelves. We walked out empty-handed. I didn't even look at the clothes because they were grouped by color and type, not size. Who wants to look at a whole rack of black shirts to try to find their size? It's not that hard to organize by size, really. It's not worth making it a day trip, despite what that influencer said. Maybe it was just a bad day, but I'll leave it to the locals from now on.

I paid $120 for a pair of jeans LAST WEEK, I put them on to wear them and felt they were a bit too baggy on me and don't want to wear a belt with my nice jeans. I had the original tag with me at the time of return (but who doesn't take tags off when you are going to wear something right then?) I returned to the store and the owner swears up and down I washed them (I didn't as they didn't need it because they weren't worn) and wouldn't take the perfect jeans back. There was a wrinkle in the cuff that she clams was made by washing.... I explained they were tried on then folded in my jean drawer. It wasn't a tag problem, damage problem or receipt problem, it was a hearsay issue that I apparently washed the jeans. I wasn't even asking for money back, just a size smaller.... I was told that the Jean company doesn't accept returns from her store but these jeans didn't need that, they were perfect to put on the rack. What a shame to lose reoccurring customers, I'll take my business elsewhere.

I've always had a great experience at the KM location. Staff take their time to get to know you and suggest products that fit your needs. My son had a long conversation with one employee about his military service and it was genuine. I appreciate their investment in the customers and this community. You can find high end USA cook wear, premium loose tea, local branded home decor, great gift ideas, Benchmade knives, some clothing, kids toys, it really has something for everyone. It may seem like it's a woman's store, but I guarantee your man will find something cool. You can even order hot tea or get an espresso drink there! Basically, it's awesome and something I would expect to find in a big city. But I'm proud to brag that it's in Kings Mountain.
