After he realized my phone was an iPhone 14 instead of the 13 he originally claimed it was, he tried to put it on me as if I had told him it was a 14. He said he would have to order the battery, but he never explained that he would call me when it came in. I called on Sunday (day two) to see if the battery had arrived. It didn't show up until Monday. I took my phone into the store so they could swap out the battery. My phone was working fine at that time. After they replaced the battery, my phone started shutting off during calls, then right after sending a text message, and again after another phone call. I took it back to them. They removed the new battery and put the old one back in, saying the new battery must have been defective. However, once the old battery was reinstalled, the phone continued doing the same thing--dying during phone calls and after sending texts. Now the phone just turns off and on by itself. As a result, I had to buy a new phone, which is exactly what I was trying to avoid by getting a new battery in the first place. They completely messed up my phone. I would not refer anyone to this place--not even my worst enemy.

However, when it comes to assisting with your billing you have to call 611. My experience with Verizon's home internet has been a mixed bag. I recently tried their $55 promo with a 5-year lock guarantee, which was decent at first. However, as I reached my 3rd year, I started experiencing intermittent WiFi issues. I eventually decided to switch to Race Communications for my high-speed fiber internet and landline, and the transition was surprisingly smooth. Will I still continue service with Verizon? Eh! I switched 3 out of 4 lines over to T-Mobile after losing my $10 Autopay discount when receiving an insulting email that my Auto-Pay discount would be cut in half if I didn't upgrade to any of the Ultimate plans. So far am keeping 1 line with Verizon just in case Verizon has better connectivity when traveling. Furthermore, I'm currently happy with my service with T-Mobile as it's not breaking the bank compared to Verizon and data coverage isnt too bad and no outage lately compared to Verizon, and WiFi is so much more reliable with Race for $70/month for the 1 Gigabit Internet, excluding monthly taxes and fees and $0 Start-up fee which will soon go up to $150 start-up fee once the promo expires. Pros: -In-house service is excellent for purchasing anything at the store. Workers go above and beyond to address your questions/concerns and help you. Cons: -For all other inquiries that don't involve buying anything at the store, you will be directed to calling 611 and waiting for eternity. All jobs are sourced overseas by the look of it. Also, most times, it is difficult to hear when there is so much background noise on Verizon Rep's line countless times when dialing 611. It's so unprofessional, unlike a decade ago. What happened?

They act like they are big shots who work for google but, they just work at a cellphone store in the Yuba City mall and need to lighten up with their customers. Save yourself a horrible customer service experience and go somewhere else. I just walked out because the energy was so foul and I could not stand hearing how they were treating the other customers. Especially the elderly customers. They have two stars for a reason. No exaggeration, every time I've had to go into that store I have to mentally prepare for how rude they are. That's the last time I step foot in that sour store.

Returned and had to pay re-stocking fee on each. First store in Y.C. said, "We can't accept returns here. You have to go to the corporate store." Did that and had a hassle there, too, but finally they accepted the returns. It was the last day to return them (14 days), they said, but they counted since PURCHASE, not DELIVERY. I called and explained that I should not be charged for the service on these phones since A. The service wasn't as advertised, and B. We only used them a few times to verify coverage. TIP: Don't cancel your old phones until you verify coverage, if you can swing that. I spoke with a few reps who all held the company line that I was on the hook for the better part of $400 for a couple phones that did not work out. Called the attention of the BBB, the CA Attorney General, their "corporate response" department, and the FCC regarding their inaccurate coverage maps. Guess what? About a week later I got a call back from corporate. The gentleman was quite agreeable. He asked about my experience and I related all to him. He very kindly offered a complete refund on money paid and a cancellation of money "owed," for which I was and expressed to him my sincere appreciation. Their deals on phones and service were really enticing and I was disappointed that it didn't work out. We did subscribe to their internet service as we have line-of-sight to a nearby tower, and that's been great and a big savings in money and hassle compared with Digital Path and Succeed.net. No long phone calls to tech support, just reboot the Gateway device and that usually gets service back up to good speeds. Upload and ping aren't good for gamers, I'd say, but for regular folks wanting to watch the latest episode of South Park, no issues whatsoever. I did ask to be called back if they got a tower near the poor reception area locally, but didn't hear back. I should probably follow up. If the reception was as advertised, I'd certainly consider re-upping with them.
