All I can say is WOW. We happened to stop by yesterday during their 8th anniversary celebration…read more I'd wanted to go for years, but they have very limited hours. Major oversight on my part. I will be making time in my schedule to go back. We ordered the small cheeseboard and added charcuterie. It contained their 3 main cheeses as well as small bits of fruit, nuts, and other goodies that were located with the cheeses that they would complement. We asked what type of meats came with the "charcuterie" option and we were told "whatever is on the slicer right now" but that they were all locally made- or at least regionally made. That works for me and both selections were delicious. We also bought the special chocolate chip/cheese cookies they had for the event and they were fantastic. What I really want to talk about is the cheese curds though. We bought some to take home (you can buy everything they use on the boards in their retail area too by the way). They're so flavorful and fresh. I'm going to make poutine with those and some fries from Heyday down the street and I expect great things. The space was clean and inviting and the service was amazing. Everyone was kind and knowledgeable about the offerings. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Greatly appreciate that Cooking at the Cottage hosts these amazing classes and the business owner, Linda, is always on site and welcoming participants and also answering questions. Facilities are comfortable, well lit, clean, and great exhaust system to vent air from the cooktop. Chef Bowe is a terrific instructor with the ability to simplify what appears to be a complex dish at first glance. High quality ingredients from locally sourced farms, including Freedom Run for lamb, Fischer Farm for the beef dish, and several others. Easily equivalent to a meal at a high end restaurant and we learned how to replicate this at home. We also received a 10% discount card for 30 days following our program to shop in the merchandise section of the store. The shop has a bazillion things that go on my wish list each time I visit and sometimes it's my secret source to choose gifts for my family and friends who seem to have everything.

Went to VomFASS this last week to paint wine glasses. The owners met us at the door and we had a…read moretable in the middle of the shop. There was a whole group of us. The owners were fun and engaging and made excellent appetizers to go with our experience for the evening. The shop is located in the Crestview Hills shopping center. This paid event came with a couple glasses of wine and we were able to choose which wine we wanted them to pour, we just let them know red or white, sweet or dry. I chose a couple of sweet ones and I liked them both. They had a fall design picked for everyone for the glasses and even though the theme was chosen everyone's glass set had its own personality. They gave instructions along the way and dispersed the paint to us. After the class you were to set the paint in place in the oven. Remember also to hand wash the glasses as the dishwasher would remove the paint. After painting we also got to try their many liqueur types and also some pre-blended cocktails. They also have olive oils, vinegars, and gift items located through-out the store. They have started offering food all day now and the appetizers were delicious so I have to imagine their food offerings would be as well. Come out and see them.

The place is great, setup of convenience and easy to maneuver around. They don't just have tasting for oil & vinegar, but also for cognac, whiskey, wine. He also told us, they offer food a couple times a week, cooking class, charcuterie class. Bottom line is, if you need specialty oil, vinegar, liqueur, etc., come see them at Vom Fass! You will love it!
