We were looking for some more interesting beer, so we stopped by at this location of Total Wine. The parking lot is busy and pretty intense, it wasn't easy coming in and out. I have been coming here since they opened. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Joe is great and management is first class. I needed a "price match" last night right at closing time but Scott (Manager) swooped to the cash register and took care of me. The staff also did not make me feel rushed with about five minutes to closing. The store is always spotless too. There are good specials which is always nice. Five stars +! read more

My favorite thing about Total Wine in Coconut Point are the different classes that they offer. They have this really nice classroom in the back corner that is designed especially for their classes. Very comfortable and attractive room. They offer classes for about $20 usually on different topics for wine, spirits and beer. Last night we just attended the Barrel aged spirits and snacks class. There we learned about pairing different barrel aged spirits with snacks. Example - Rum with trail mix, Irish Whiskey with cheddar cheese. Other classes we have attended were pizza and wine, wine and chocolates, wine tour of Italy, scotch for beginners..... (just to name a few) The presenters are very knowledgeable and give you a good sampling to taste. It has really expanded both my palate and knowledge. My best tip if you go... sit closer to the front. The people in the back get rather gabby and it can be hard to hear the presenter. read more

Round two of the Total Wine Tasting events. This time we did a Tequila tasting of the great spirits from Mexico. So glad Total Wine has a food table for the guest to enjoy as we were coming straight from work with empty stomachs and need to eat before the tasting or I will need to phone a friend... The food table had some ham and turkey subs as well as some fresh fruits for the guest to start out with. Great idea from Total Wine. Each table setting has a water and information cards for you to learn about the products that are being sampled as well as a coupon in the back to use the same day. Tonight we had eight different samples to try. With six Tequilas one Tequilas Liqueur and a Mezcal. A little up front information about Tequila is that the longer it ages the smoother it becomes a lot like wine. So we had one Silver and one Blanco both are un-aged and have the harsh after taste. We then went on to the Reposado Tequila this means that it is aged from two to 12 months and what a difference that will make in the after taste. If you are mixing this would be a great choice for that type of use. Now it is time for the sipping style of Tequila the Anejo this will be your Tequilas aged over one year and in oak barrels. (they even have Extra Anejo will be aged a min. of three years in oak barrels) as with everything the cost go up as well but if you are sipping this would be the type you should look at. And to close out the night with some Mezcal not my type but one person in the group like it . read more

As I live in Fort Myers, the Total Wine on US 41 in Fort Myers has always been my go-to for booze. Unfortunately, that one doesn't offer any classes or events. I noticed this new store the last couple times when I was at Coconut Point but never got to check it out. We were finally here for the Total Wine & Cheese class in May. It was our first time taking a class at Total Wine so we really did'nt know what to expect other than some samples of cheese and wine. The class started at 6:30pm. My boyfriend and I got there a few minutes early and the room was all set with a couple wine glasses and some cheese samples for each person. After we checked in, we helped ourselves with some snacks that they provided. Like any wine tasting, we started from light to heavy. We tasted 8 different wines and cheeses. All the cheese were from Boar's Head and very good quality. The pairing of Sauv Blanc and Chevre was very interesting. I did not care neither of them separably. But they paired perfectly and completely changed my opinion to them. This class really helped us learning to enjoy the wine and have fun in the process. In addition to wine classes, they also offer spirits classes. My friend actually took a spirit class in Naples and she liked it a lot. I already signed up the next spirit class and look forward to it. read more

Total Wine has an amazing selection of alcoholic choices, but they just do not get it in this time of Covid-19! It took them forever to mandate that their employees wear masks, and finally that occurred. Then for the longest time they didn't require masks on customers, which they finally have done, and this evening all customers seemed to be complying. However, despite big signs and a mask/sanitizer station, there were 3 young men (who were easily identified by their dress as employees) chatting up the manager, shoulder to shoulder by the customer service checkout. When I boxed they should don masks, one of the geniuses said it was not necessary. Ugh! I am not sure how comfortable I feel there going forward. Get with the program, Total Wine! read more

If you are in the need for any kind of alcoholic beverage (wind, liquor, beer or accessories) I can almost guarantee they will have it. They have packaged items for the person who needs a quick present or hostess gift. They bring in all the seasonal beers (we even found our favorite Christmas Ale from Cleveland, OH). They have plenty of customer associates working the floor, so if you can't find what you're looking for, they will be happy to look for it or look on the computer to see if they have it I stock. We attended one of their Wine Tasting events and it was well worth the $20. charge. They even supplied, sandwiches, various cheeses and veggies along with 8 different wines. If you interested, check their web site, because the events sell out fast. The only down side is, not all Total Wine stores hold events :( read more

NJ or here in FLne thing is certain, there is no store in most towns that can rival the selection of wine And beer at Total Wine . Went there before a busy holiday. The store was busy and I thought this was going to be a long while until we find what we came for, a case of wine and some " interesting" beer Once we located the wine the next task was to find someone who could help locate the case. A couple of minutes later a guy carrying the case we just ordered appears out of nowhere. So far so good, right until we get to the beer . In my 67 yrs I've been in and out of a few liquor stores. . I have never seen so many stinkin beers in my life. Row after row of every domestic and foreign beer you heard of and then then the few that you haven't heard of.,followed by what was the largest selection of craft beers I've ever seen . So aftet looking at all that beer and settling on a couple of foreign selections it was time to pay. The last stop along the way .at the check out. Total Wine at Coconut Point is like the Tardis of adult beverages. It seems much larger on the inside than it appears on the outside. Shelves were very well stocked, and with products that I don't normally see inside a Total Wine, but I'm very happy for the increased selection. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They will guide you to the place in the store you need to be in. If there's a question beyond what's on the shelf, they are happy to look it up for you. This Total Wine appears to really try to cater to local Florida selections. If you're in the market for adult flavored beverages, the Total Wine at Coconut Point probably has what you're looking for. I am a regular here. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I love dry wine and always ask for a good recommendation from the staff and so far they have been good picks. Most beverages have a label description especially if it's a Winery Direct product. They have wine tasting events regularly and a lot of people show up. This place is amazing. The selection is incredible... every type of hard liquor you can imagine, huge variety of beer (with a big selection of local Florida breweries), and insane amount of wines and champagnes. Customer service is always amazing and they are super friendly. A lot of the employees are constantly walking around asking if you need help and are incredibly knowledgeable on their selection and are able to give recommendations. So this is not my normal store and I will never return... I am very disappointed in the service here. What attitudes from the customer service personnel. I think they forget customer service is their job. I ordered online some beer four packs- not in stock. Fine that happens. Get to the store and they have three individual bottles being sold for more than the four packs- they refuse to match the four pack price. This would never happen at my local store! Never! When I approached customer service of course first response is not how can I help you but this is not a register. Really- I came here to ask about a beer and if you had more in stock. Manager stood their watching the poor treatment and never said a word. DON'T GO HERE for service. read more

I normally would not write a review about a wine shop but we had a fun experience there today and I wanted to tell everyone. They ran an event with the country singing group Little Big Town. First of all the members of this group are the nicest sweetest folks you would ever want to meet. Super friendly and genuine. They took pictures, shook hands and exchanged greetings and it was real, not phony. Kudos to them. We love their music now we love them as well. Now about Total Wine- the event was well organized, security in place, no one was mean or nasty etc. obviously the idea of doing this was to sell wine with the Little Big Town name on it but they were not pushy and really friendly. So now kudos to Total Wine. Last was the country radio station 101.9. They were their as well and you could win concert tickets, CDs etc. My wife won a T-shirt. The radio folks were also super nice and friendly. The country music world as a whole seems to be normal friendly folks in every aspect. Awesome!!! read more
