I've been a customer since the first location and followed them move to the 2nd location and now the 3rd, a new year, new location at coconut pointe Estero. This area is larger with a smoking lounge. With a beer and wine lounge located in the corner just left of the entrance. Huge selection of cigars along with accessories for pipe smokers as well. My regular cigars went up by $3 compared to last year. It's worth the better location easier parking and definitely easier to get in and out onto the main roads unlike the 2nd old location at bonita. I was told the landlord was jacking up the rate without any extra value. The new lounge has plenty of comfortable seating along with larger tv screens bottled beer and wine with a selection of soft drinks as well. I was able to use my cellular service since there are huge windows to the north and west side of the lounge. They have events just like the original. And will eventually have roller events with cigar reps who do promotions. I popped back in to get a few pics of the new location. It's very well organized. This shopping center can be confusing for the first time it's easy to enter from the northernmost side and it's across from Best Buy. I stepped into the new cigar lounge and it will be a very nice place to sit and enjoy a cigar and a beer while watching the game. What a difference this place is if you remember the last location they were at, the other end of the strip mall. Back then, it was dark and dingy and the staff were elderly, not very friendly, you were on your own kind of place. Now ever since they moved, they now have younger guys who work there and know their stuff. They are friendly and do not pressure you at all. They know their stuff and I love to talk shop with them. They carry my favorite cigars LFD, that few places carry. Its fun to walk around and see all the brands and all sorts of gifts you can buy for yourself or others in the smoking world. Hours are better now as well, they always also have empty cigar boxes out front to sell. Lotto tickets, rolling papers, water pipes, all sorts of interesting items, you can easily spend some serious money and time there. The cigars are reasonably priced as well. Although online is usually cheaper, I don't trust how fresh they are and anyway, like to support our locals. read more

Then highest end, hard to get, budget cigars etc. No judgments here, they get it...a good cigar is one that you like. My new best buddy John from the UK hooked me up with 4 CAO Amazons, and 2 Fuente Casa Cuba, very hard to find sticks... But not there. The Amazons were just re-released and they let me buy all I wanted. If I lived closer to this sop I'd be in serious trouble. But they do mail order, and they have anything you could want. Imagine you won the lotto and told your wife, "Look honey! I'm making my man-cave! It'll be the most manliest cave!" But then your neighbor won the lotto the next week and just like that your man-cave is a kid's sandbox because you only won the state lotto and this jerk just won the Powerball. My first visit was to pick up a cigar cutter because I needed to kill time waiting for my fiance to finish up work by smoking on the sidewalk like a condescending hobo. So I walk in and ask for one and the gentleman working there took me to a $400 cutter made from actual wooly mammoth ivory. I WANT IT. I left with my $3 cutter with dreams but also noticed they roll their own cigars for just a buck. I wanna say 8 different flavors? Could be wrong but good luck getting their rum flavor because I buy those by the handful now. Delicious. Staff is awesome. Product is awesome. I even celebrate special occasions with one of the pricier cigars, sometimes up to $7 if it's in my budget! Seriously, if you fancy a nice cigar to wind down a day these guys have you covered. I have been purchasing boxes of the same cigar over the last couple years. Probably approximately 7-8 boxes. Never a problem until this week 11/18/3019. I Purchased a box of St Louis Rey regular SLR's. Over the last few days I have smoked 4 of the 25 cigars in the box. In each event the cigars began to loose the wrapper immediately. It flaked off totally before the cigar was 3/4 of the way smoked. I took the remainder of the box back to the Bonita Smoke Shop for replacement. I was directed to the gentleman who runs the shop. He told me that they did not guarantee the condition of the cigars! I told him that was unacceptable and it was not right and poor customer service to not replace or refund me for the poor quality of the box I purchased. He said he was sorry but they would not do either. I told him I would not buy from him in the future and left. Terrible terrible policy he has! Watch out for this place. If you buy an old out of date product and are dissatisfied you will not be taken care of by this guy! His attitude is screw you if you have a problem with what he sells you! read more

Those who know me know I am one finicky bastard when it comes any type of order anywhere for anything. I want it simple and straight-forward. I also want a fine quality product that shows workmanship. Over the course of the past two years, I have talked on and off with one of the owners via Twitter about a variety of topics, especially different types of cigars. He clearly comprehends what needs to go into a quality cigar. More importantly, he takes pride in the effort he puts into making cigars. Those who know cigars are well aware of the various manufacturers and those which are more boutique in nature. The cigars made by the staff of Bonita Smoke Shop are consistently made of high-quality leaf and binding. I have tried a few of their cigars and personally enjoy their 18th Anniversary Cigar. I know nothing about cigars. I just know I wanted to spend $15-20 for a variety of cigars as a gift. We were greeted immediately upon entering the Smoke Shop. I told the gentleman what my situation was and he proceeded to fix me up with an assortment of 4 different cigars in the $4-6 range. With each one he told us a little about the cigar, where it's from, etc. He put them in a nice decorative zip lock bag. Said he would be happy to get this assortment as a gift. This place has a great selection and I've been buying cigars by the box here for about 10 years. Everyone is kind and knowledgeable... selection is great. My complaint is that over the last year or so the prices have gone through the roof. Was told by staff that they have price increases each year from suppliers and that last year there had been two increases. Three weeks ago I spent nearly $400 on a box of Gloria Cabanas, bundle of cigars for the golf course and the some Swisher Sweets for the wife. Not like I'm unwilling willing to burn some cash for a smoke for myself and friends, but think I'm about done with this shop. Today I purchased a couple of bundles for the golf course and was going to get some more Swishers but they had them priced at twice the cost of the local Publix and Walgreens. This review will be focused on an online purchase I made from Bonita Smoke Shop. I have never been to the actual store, so I cannot speak to that aspect. I placed an order for a humidor from this website one evening, and I got a call the next day saying that the humidor I ordered was not in stock. That's fine, I understand that happens sometimes. They were polite on the phone and asked if there were any other humidors I was interested in, so I placed an order for my second choice. They told me that they would have to order it from the manufacturer, and they would ship it to me as soon as it came in. Two weeks passed with no notification, so I called the store and a lady told me that my humidor had just arrived "last night," and that it would be shipped to me that afternoon. She also told me that if I didn't hear from her, that meant everything was okay. I was skeptical, but I said okay. Another week passed with no tracking number and no humidor. I called back yet again, and spoke with someone else. He asked which humidor I ordered, and said that they haven't received a shipment of those in quite some time. I quoted the lady that I talked to the week before, and he said that's strange, because no humidors had come in and my name wasn't even in their system. I told him to cancel my order. I purchased a Diamond Crown humidor from Bonita Smoke Shop in August. The package arrived quickly and in good condition (it's quadruple- packed by the manufacturer) but after I seasoned it (a 14 day process), I noticed one hinge sat outside of a poorly cut mortise, preventing the lid from sealing properly. I sent a detailed description of the issue in a email, along with clear photographs. No response. I recommend never buying any cigars from this store as they obviously don't give a damn about customers To whom it may concern I placed an order on 05/15/13 for Cojimar Robusto Chocolate Mint(2 boxes) as your website said it was available. I was expecting my cigars by the weekend. I called your customer service on 05/16/2012 to inquire when you would be receiving the Cojimar Robusto Vanillas in stock, and at that time I was informed that there are no more Chocolate Mint cigars, and it is a discontinued item. When it exactly was I going to be informed after placing my order on 05/15/13 that my item was not in stock and discontinued? I had to call your store to find this information out, extremely bad service! At the time I called your customer service I was informed that a different Cojimar had arrived, that would replace the discontinued item and they would call me back once they checked the invoice and pricing, No one bothered to call me back. Here's my experience with Bonita Smoke Shop... First online order: never received confirmation or tracking number, and they never answered three emails I sent. Their excuse? The internet was down. My emails were spread out over four days. Called to confirm order over the phone, then it was shipped. It was free shipping (over $150 order) so I wasn't concerned about shipping price. Second online order: This was about a month later. Hesitantly placed order online. Received confirmation email but no tracking number. Called to find out where order was a week later. Received apology and cigars arrived several days later...apparently they were shipped late because the internet (Comcast) was down, according to them. Third (and last) order: Shipping charges for two day air on their website say '$14.95 and up'. I called to get the actual price and they quoted me $30 to $35. Well? which one is it? They couldn't tell me. Why? Internet was down...again, but that I should just place the order and they'll bill me. I called back and placed an order with 'Becky' (owner) for two boxes of cigars with standard shipping. One box was out of stock that would be back in stock in two days. I said that was fine, just send both boxes when the stock arrives. That was on a Monday. Called the following Saturday morning to hear that the order wasn't shipped. Why? They couldn't find my order and, you guessed it, the internet was down...for a week. They said they would call me back within 15 minutes with the status of my order. I used that time to call Comcast, which told me that no outages were reported in that area...for months. I called back (since they didn't) to get the shuck and jive from one of the gals who tried to tell me that only one box was in stock, then both boxes were in stock, then the order went out, then it didn't go out... Becky, the owner, who must have been listening to the conversation, then picked up the phone, was rude, and told me to call Comcast if I didn't believe her story. I said I did exactly that and told her what Comcast told me. She then told me that Comcast was lying. She started to talk over me (she may hard of hearing, or just real rude) but I did manage to say 'let's just cancel the order'. BEWARE. DO NOT ORDER. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. What a disappointment!! I ordered an expensive humidor as a gift and it was a nightmare. The first one they sent was defective and the second was damaged. After demanding back their products without a solution to send me a replacement, they informed me that they no longer had a humidor "for me". Not to mention that i had to call THEM several times to get a status, to get updates, and even to get my refund. If you are going to sell defective and damaged products don't take it out on the customer and leave them hanging!! I would not recommend doing business with them. This is my husbands favorite smoke shop. But I have not had the same experience as him. I went in to look at a humidor to buy him for Christmas. I was in the store about 10 minutes and was completely ignored. I even had an employee walk by me on 4 separate occasions, while I was standing at the counter, and was not even acknowledged.
