Came to my second home away from home, and this location was in Seattle. This location was smaller than the ones here in Texas, but still had a huge selection. The staff very friendly and VERY helpful. I do not know if you know, but in Seattle, they charge a crayz tax for liquor (not beer and wine). The staff member had to point it out to me, or I would not have known. In addition, they are not allowed to sell THC drinks because of rules and regulations. I don't think you can blame Total Wine for that, but I am sure people do. HOWEVER, they do try to hide the true costs when it comes to liquor, and that seemed a little sketch. If we see a large price sign, that usually indicates a price, and that is not how they did it there. However, the prices there are still the cheapest, so whether it was Texas or Washington, Total Wine is still my favorite place to buy drinks. read more

I usually shop at Puyallup or Federal Way location as they are closer to home, however Bellevue is right next to my work. So it's convenient at the end of the day. I must say the last few times I've been in there the customer service needs some work. When you ask somebody how they are or say hello you assume you'd get a response ?? Nope! Literally crickets. Nobody asked me if I needed help. I wasn't greeted when entering the store, the other locations are always way busier and always say hello and go the next step to ask if I need help or they can point me in a direction . He insisted I show him my ID even though im disabled and it was clearly a struggle to get to it. He didnt card the white people whom tasted before me. And could barely understand his bad English. I was running errands with my little sister when I stopped by Total Wine to pick up breezers for a party I'm going to with my coworkers tonight. It's fairly hot outside and I didn't want to leave her in the car so I took her into the store with me. While checking out, I gave the cashier my ID and she asked my sister for ID which is totally understandable. I want to be clear that I am not upset that she asked us both for our IDs. My sister explained she's 18 but can wait in the car while opening her purse to take out her ID. I also explained that she's my little sister and her ID would show our matching last names and addresses. I even told the cashier I was buying the drinks for a party I'm going to tonight without her. The cashier then said she needed a manager's approval and told the manager my sister didn't have ID which was not the case. The manager than berated my sister for not having ID in the liquor store until I held out her ID to show him and clearly articulated that we never said we didn't both have ID. The cashier apologised to us for misunderstanding, but it was just a frustrating experience as a whole. To make matters worse, despite telling the cashier multiple times we had an account and phone number with Total Wine to collect points, she completely ignored me and did not let me give her my number. At this point I was so upset and we had already held up the line that I just paid and left. To be berated in public was an overall humiliating and disempowering experience. Especially as young women of colour. I feel like I need to come here with my mother or father in order to not be ignored and hassled at Total Wine and that's appalling. Maybe it's time to start buying alcohol elsewhere. ETA: after looking at a few other reviews, I want to say; don't just give me your customer care line and an empty promise. It's clear that the manager at this location has received multiple complaints and no action has been taken. Stopped in after work to buy a case of WATER for my wife, which I've done before. They ask me for my ID this time, when they havent in the past, and act like I'm stupid for not having it. (I'm an obviously grown man in business clothes buying a case of water.) I offer a photo of my ID, they call the manager to override and she won't. She can, it's totally legal, it's well within her power, she has been promoted specially for this reason, to make reasonable judgement calls. I obviously present zero risk. So why the game? The prices are higher than local stores and the customer service is atrocious. NEVER use their delivery service. It's a cluster. One last thing if I order and pay for something it should be set aside rather than left out to be bought by someone else so when my delivery or pickup happens they are suddenly out of stock and I have to wait 5 days for a refund. read more

However it was only applicable to product with a yellow background and not the tan background products. How was I meant to know this? - the manger made it very clear that I was stupid for not connecting the yellow tag with an email that didn't mention a yellow price tag. You're right, shame on me! Horrible Management and Customer Service. I came here excited to buy a gift for my partner and was immediately accused of intent to steal and asked if I was with some completely random guy that passed me! (assumed it was my accomplice or something..) I said (again) that I am just here to buy my partner a gift. I don't know why someone would ask if I need help finding something and when I say 'YES', they spend the entire time acting annoyed and like I'm trying to steal. Looking for the ingredients for ' Death in the afternoon' a favorite of Ernest Hemingway.. and myself. My first visit to a Total Wine in Washington. Wow! This location is huge. I went to the beer section to determine if there were any choices from my favorite CA breweries. Nope. Not that I could find. So I stayed focused on Bloody Mary supplies. Of course the choices are outstanding and overwhelming but I ended up with a vodka from Poland and small cans of Bloody Mary mixers. The parking lot here is packed as it is next to an Asian market, next time I'll visit that store. I had no problem finding a parking spot. Came in to pick up an engraved wine bottle for the first time today, called beforehand just to make sure they still had our bottle because it was the last day to pick it up, and the guy that picked up was rude. Asked him to make sure it was still there and he says "Umm it should be if you didn't get an email saying that the order was canceled" he just sounded annoyed to just check for us. We come in the store to pick the bottle up, at the pick up counter, we greet the guy there "how are you, we are here for a pick up" SONNY (pretty sure this was the same guy that picked up the phone) is there and he just stares at us, then says with some attitude "uhhh ok, do you have anything, ID, email, anything??" does not say hello, or even ask in a nice way. My boyfriend tells him there is no need for the attitude, it is our first time picking up. And he gets mad and says "drop the attitude or get the fuck out the store" when we had NO attitude and he started off being rude. Literally quit your job if you're so miserable here lmfao. Seriously, you won't find a Total Wine & More in this area with their selection. They redefined the top shelf to include liquor that I'll never be able to afford a shot of much less a bottle. Their glass cases aren't marketed to me but to some e-series in a corner office overlooking some giant body of water. There's plenty other selection but if you want fancy you've come to the right spot! Truly I'm behind on this review as my friends and I came on 12/30. Usually I wouldn't note this but was surprised that the tasting counter was featuring a typical wine and not champagne. I would have thought it would have been the perfect opportunity to highlight various types of champagne in order for some easy sales. I was also a bit surprised of the store's layout. We were looking for a statement piece. My friend wanted to buy a ginormous bottle of champagne. At the other locations all the mammoth bottles are located in one spot. At the Bellevue location we needed the help of a store employee and a map to find where all the bottles were scattered as though they wanted to turn it into a scavenger hunt. Yet, we prevailed! With the help of the trusty store employee who led us through the crowds we found our statement piece! Along the way we lost our friend in the tequila aisle and I'm not sure what happened but he came out of it with like four bottles of tequila. We were able to go through checkout quickly with no fuss and into the parking lot. Now here's the reason I don't visit this location often and it is well outside their control, but that parking lot is a nightmare on busy days. It was a nightmare when Larry's Market was here. It only has gotten worse. It is like a bit of Mad Max Fury Road driving as people lose their minds trying to find a spot. I just dropped in here to get an inexpensive bottle of pinot noir for cooking...the store is large! And the array of wines dizzying. Luckily helpful staff abound, and i was able to yell her what i needed, and she showed 3 different ones at varying price points, and amazingly had things to say about each one! The rows are smartly labeled which aids in looking for exactly what you want. The staff, very very helpful and knowledgeable no matter how simple the questions or if you just need help finding something. One of the staff members introduced me to the total wine & more app, wow thank you. The establishment although very busy is clean, there are no boxes just sitting about, no trash just clean and professional. Price- the big question they seem very fair priced for instance a bottle of oyster bay and, Woodinville whisky is about the same price you would pay at a grocery store with club savings. The customers service from the employees itself is horrible due to their rude behavior and demeanor. Have to say that I had a horrible experience at Total Wine Bellevue today. I ordered 2 fresh kegs of beer online and brought in two empties. Instead of just exchanging the empties as they are identical I was quizzed on their origin. One was from BevMo as I had exchanged a Total Wine empty there when TW didn't have the brand I wanted. The TW clerk refused to exchange my empty and called a manager who also said I couldn't return my empty even though I was buying 2 kegs ( thought TW was in the business of selling beer ). I left with the my 2 kegs which will be the last the last thing I will ever buy from TW. The kegs are all identical. I guess TW wants me to choose where I buy my beer. While I'm a regular at the Total Wine in Northgate, this was my first visit to the store in Bellevue. Northgate and Bellevue are their largest stores in the area, and I definitely was impressed with the selection and service in Bellevue too. They carried a few wines which were unavailable in Northgate. The store was well-staffed and it was a breeze to find someone for help. Huge store. Total Wine & More is a new liquor superstore that opened today in Bellevue. It is located next to the Bellevue Uwajimaya. The store is brand spanking new. Though smells like walking into a Home Depot for some reason. New store smell? At nearly 30,000 square feet, the store has a huge selection of beer, wine and spirits. It feels very much like a big box superstore with plenty of checkout lanes. There are a lot of liquor displays. They also seemed to be doing some in store tastings. I was looking for gin and it was a bit tough initially to find it. Because there is so much stuff. Wine is on the left hand side and the front aisles. Spirits are to the back and beer takes up the right hand side of the store. Picked up a 750 ml bottle of Tanqueray ($18.99 before taxes) which was cheaper than a few stores that I have checked. Their prices are great and are intended to beat or be competitive with Costco pricing. Interesting tidbits I found while checking the store include that they do have local brands here in addition to the popular brands. At least for the gin section I looked at. And I noticed a display of $1.97 wine near the front. Though I wonder if it is decent. Also while I didn't roam the whole store, it didn't seem like there was shochu. Good thing Uwajimaya is next door to fill this need. The space next to Uwajimaya has been empty for a long time, so it is nice to have a great retailer fill this space. I think Total Wine & More will do well in the Seattle area due to its pricing and selection. read more

I just finished the Yelp 100 challenge, so why not go to a booze store (and then review it) to celebrate?! If you're throwing any sort of grownup party with alcohol, you really should visit this place. Although it's called "Total Wine & More", there should really be more emphasis on the "more" part. I love that they have other things to go with wine, like a pretty extensive glassware section, cocktail mixers, snacks, and even a cigar humidor! There are places to sample things, but when I was there (on a Monday afternoon) they were all closed. Sadface. There's also a lot of other non-wine alcohol. There's TONS of beer and liquor in the back half of the store. I was after a bottle of Pimm's (yum!!) and found Pimm's No. 1 AND a limited edition flavor that I'd never seen before! Wow! (Protip: be prepared to spend more money than you expect as you impulse buy things.) The downside of this place is that it is huge and if you're indecisive, you could be here a loooooong time. Not to worry though, the staff are reasonably friendly and helpful. I asked about some wine pairings, and was given some generally consistent answers from those who worked here. Checkout was quick and easy, although they had to open another register because the only one open did something weird to the customer in front of me's debit card and wouldn't read it or something.
