When I moved to Redmond (from Seattle) about five years ago, I liked this place because they had a great selection of beers and a friendly, knowledgeable staff. That has gone away. They've gotten rid of most of their beers (reduced selection by about 3/4, I'd estimate) in favor of vaping paraphernalia, which is utterly disgusting to me. The last couple times I went there and tried to ask an employee about a particular beer, the response was along the lines of, "I don't know, we might have that, just look for it." They should be honest and take "Beer" out of their name, since they obviously don't care about that any more, and just want the vape business. read more

Bought a vape from here, and it malfunctioned, burnt through part of my night stand and almost started a fire in my home while I was sleeping. Luckily the sizzling sound woke me up and I was able to dump water on it in time. I went in to see if I get get a replacement of a different brand and they told me I had to reach out to the manufacturer to get my money back. I would not be surprised if the owners buy the cheap made vapes that carry certain chemicals that could kill you. It's a very shady place. read more

Been going here for the last 6 months to purchase elf bars and other disposable vapes. I absolutely love all the workers here especially who I presume to be the boss. She's always recommending me new flavors and new brands to try. They have the best assortment of disposable vapes and flavors. This place is pretty new, but they have a great selection of beer and their service is wonderful. We came in to see if we could get some of the craft beers we wanted for an event, and the selection here is almost overwhelming if you don't have a lot of ideas in mind. Also, the store itself is brightly lit and clearly laid out; even if some of the categorization is a bit weird. I asked the owners about it so they didn't have to help me find tons of stuff, but apparently they had it first by beer type, but now it's sorted by brewery and region. So go figure. It's a bit confusing if you don't know the specifics about your beers, and I got the impression that the categorization was still prone to change, so I imagine that this might be a bit of an issue until they had settled on what stock they really had or wanted to sell. Service was really good, too. For the things they didn't have (which wasn't much, really), the staff were willing to take suggestions for what they should stock. They also offered multiple suggestions for types of beers that we liked, and were pretty knowledgeable about their stock. That's pretty impressive for customer service. When we were there it was while they'd had their soft opening; the owners said that they were also looking at having a small outdoor area, and more shelves in the middle of the store. It'd be great to see how this place develops once it's properly underway. read more

We popped in to wait for Poke Me and I tried Tieton Peach Bourbon Cider 8 oz $4. Theres a nice outside patio to enjoy your beverage that offers really good shading. You walk in, place your order on tap, if you choose your bottled beverage they'll pour it for a corkage fee, btw. I really enjoyed the ciders flavor and would like to check in and see which other ciders are available. read more

Every time I have gone into this store ( mind you it's not been many) the owner always greets me and asks how my wedding planning is going. She is such a kind woman. She asks me if I need help, if I am looking for something specific. It's never a bad experience. I don't personally vape but they have tons of options. Legit probably over 25 brands. Just opened. Unfortunately, the heat doesn't work yet so it's going to be a chilly shopping experience until they get that fixed. When I saw it from the street I was thinking beer and cigars. Nope. More of a combined bottle shop and head shop. Great selection of beer, but they seem to have a bit of bind spot when it comes to Belgian brewers. I took it as a great sign that they asked me what beers I'd like to see them add, and they took notes when I listed various Trappist breweries and styles of beer. They also asked for input on their selection of tap handles. They currently have about a dozen, mostly local microbrew. Almost all of their bottles are in refrigerated storage. Should be interesting to see how this evolves. read more

This shop is across the street from my house. I bought from there a few times until one day i tried to return a faulty new vape. They refused to replace it. Since then i have bought atleast 20 vapes at Vape Savy since.. also had a faulty new vape one from Vape Savy, but they had no issues replacing it. read more

I feel bad for the owners because they're not very knowledgeable about anything they carry let alone products in the industry. The owner is extremely smug and rude, and gets very upset when you ask them questions about anything. Also they keep saying they're the only place that carries these brands, but I see the same things at the nearby grocery store, plus it's not very good stuff in general. I'm guessing because of the choices they're stuck with selling is the reason the owners are rude to everyone as you see in other reviews. The wine selection is pretty poor as well. Hardly anything there. I would almost excuse the smugness if they actually knew what they were talking about, but unfortunately that's not the case. read more

I love this place! It might be a little hidden, but it's a gem - lots of stuff on taps (including at least two ciders! THANK GOD. I have Celiacs so I like going places where my spouse can get plenty of beer, and I can get plenty of cider). They even have rare stuff - like Spanish ciders or "sidre"* - and will happily listen to your recommendations. They're already great, but keep your eye on them - they're going to get EVEN BETTER. ;) * OK. Side note. If you like cider, or if you like sour beer, or hopefully BOTH, TRY A SIDRE. It's tart, and it has a slight vinegar punch - that's open-fermenting and wild yeast at work - and I promise you, there's nothing like it. ESPECIALLY SOUR BEER FANS, TRY IT! I miss sour beers so much, and lots of places don't carry Spanish ciders (due to them really catching some people off-guard) but please, PLEASE join the club and try them, and carry their banner with me! read more

I finally decided to check out this shop and was surprised by their wide selection when I walked inside. They have just about any beer that you could ask for and apparently will order what you'd like if they don't already have it. I was also impressed by their selection of local beers as well as their cigar collection. The owners were also super friendly and told me they were currently working on adding more taps as well as seating areas inside the store. Have to agree with previous reviews, the women behind the bar was quite rude. To make things less appealing , I had a groupon worth 4 tastes, a pint, and a growler. Upon arrival, the rude bartender informed me, they will only "fill" growlers (not what the Groupon fine print said) but I was lucky to have one in the car. Then I was told the groupon is only worth 9.99 toward a growler fill (also not what the Groupon said). The funny thing is no growler fill on the menu was less than 12.99. When I asked which beer was 9.99 I was told there was a keg that was almost gone so if I had asked for that one, it would have been covered by the groupon... Lots of good options out there for bottle shops and growler fills, not sure this place will get my business again. read more

Worst experience ever. Received a gift card from my brother for $25 and they said the card wasn't active. Then they called whoever the 3rd party is that issues the cards and that company literally refused to verify the card. Waited around patiently for 20 mins for a 25 dollar gift card and the gal at the desk said I would have to leave and come back one she verified the card, WHICH SHE WANTED TO HOLD ONTO! 25 BUCKS? Outstanding selection of beer. It can be hard to find specific things but just ask the staff and they always walk you to what your looking for. Very knowledgeable and it's a great place to try new brews. The beer on tap is a great touch I have stopped here for a quick glass and grab a bottle of my favorite for later. Pretty disappointed with my experience. Purchased a Groupon for this establishment and as it was close to expiring I drove from Edmonds. An hour later with growler and howler in hand I arrived to be told the Groupon had been cancelled 2 months before. Not happy with Groupon for not sending a message it was cancelled but even more disappointed the Cave did absolutely nothing to try and turn me into a customer. The beer selection is good, but any time I go to a place of business, over an HOUR before their posted closing time, and find it dark, it's really shitty business. I've run into that here several times now. I don't care about your quality of selection, or service, if I spend the time to drive to your establishment, at the time you're SUPPOSED to be open, and find that you've closed early. It's even worse when it happens repeatedly. If you're going to keep closing early, change your hours. read more

A great craft beer spot in upper Kirkland. The Cave has a great selection of bottles and cans and ten-twenty taps. Prices are solid and the owners are very friendly. I don't make it to Kirkland often, but this is a great place for beer to go or a pint in. read more

I like this place a lot. I have been two times. One to grab a few bottles of beer (by few it was closer to 8) and once to use the groupon. The place reminds me of a bottle shop down in Tacoma called copper door. It has decent seating, solid beer on tap rotation, and a ton of bottles for purchase. The place has it all. I cant say I have tried there food yet, but I am guessing the sandwiches are good. This place is up the street from my work and my only real complaint is that there is only one way into the parking lot, and if traffic were bad I could see it being very difficult to leave. Outside of that its an excellent shop if you like specialty beers and the staff seems very knowledgeable. Will visit, but its a 5 min drive from work closer to a 40 min drive from home. If I am near will make the trip, but from home will stick with the copper door. read more

I have yet to walk out of The Cave disappointed. Seasonal selections are great, I love being able to build my own six pack of different goses, saisons and sours from not just the Pacfic Northwest but from breweries around the country. Eden behind the counter is always pleasant and remembers me when I come in. I have had issues with grumpy and pretentious attitudes at other bottle shops on the Eastside but never here. read more
