My dryer started tripping the breaker, so I called and scheduled an appt. Seth came and said it was definitely the motor. He ordered a new one and said it should take 7-10 days. It ended up taking 14 days, and 21 before he actually came to install it. Immediately, the dryer had the same issue, and his tune changed to "it's definitely the electricity." It felt like he was throwing very expensive spaghetti at the wall rather than admitting that he had falsely diagnosed the problem and unnecessarily replaced the motor. Before he left, he did get it to work and said something about how the new motor may have just been tight and needed to loosen up. I felt very uneasy and honestly should not have given him the rest of the payment, but I'm an idiot. Sure enough, the dryer stops working the following week. Called him, was told he is on vacation. Had to wait another week. When he contacts us, he tells us he is going to pick the dryer up and bring it to his shop. He can't do that until the following week. This should have been expedited, considering he charged us $430 to fix something that clearly did not need to be fixed and also considering we then had to already wait a week once it broke again. Seth picked up our dryer and said we would definitely get a call by Monday or Tuesday. By Tuesday evening, we had not heard from him. My husband called and was told Seth wasn't available, but that he would call back tomorrow. Wednesday comes, no word from Seth. Again, my husband calls. Again, he's not available. We called again on Thursday and finally got a call back later in the evening. Seth can't figure out what is wrong with our dryer, will "possibly" drop it off at our home tomorrow (Friday) and if not, will "definitely" drop it off Monday. No apology and certainly no offer of giving us our money back. He is taking no responsibility for his lack of expertise or for the fact that he clearly doesn't have enough knowledge to fix our appliance. The arrogance is truly astounding. Save yourself time, money, and headache by avoiding this company at all costs.

He kept us updated on the progress of each lamp for the work needed was intricate. One lamp had three sockets that needed to be re-wired and a new cord & switch put in. The other lamp had 12 sockets and several needed to be replaced, along with the cord and a foot switch. Both lamps work gloriously - we could not be more thrilled. It is so nice to have our 12 socket lamp working correctly - and brightly. IMO if you are not a DIY type, call a professional & pay the money. I…read moretook one of my watches to Genters because I thought it would be better than sending it out to the manufacturer, I might get better communication & more personal response. Man, was I wrong! The owner, Keith Genter, looked at my watch and said he would order parts. He told me he would have the watch repaired in 2-3 weeks. After hearing nothing for 5 weeks, I called him (during his business hours) and left a message for him to call me about my watch. I got no reply, so I called again 2 days later. No reply. So I called again another few days later. Finally, after 4 more attempts, I got Keith on the phone. He never returned a call - he just happened to pick up that time. He then told me that he needed my input on which part I wanted him to order! Not only did he not ever call me to ask for my input, he wouldn't even return my repeated calls when he needed my input. I gave him the input he needed and he said he'd have the part in a week. 3 weeks went by with no call. So I went through the process again. This time it took 5 attempts to get him to call me back. When I asked him why he was not returning my calls, he said that my messages were "broken up" and that I must have been in an area with bad cell service when I left them (all 5). What's interesting about that is that I called him from a land line every time. So I asked him what the status of my repair was... he said he needed my input on which part I wanted him to order - again. After giving him another 5 weeks - and a total of almost 4 months, he had not done anything to my watch. I drove to his shop and asked for it back. At which time he literally slapped it down on the glass counter (no case) and said, "Here you go." I told him how disappointed I was with my experience, and the amount of time he took to do nothing - and his complete lack of communication or courtesy. To that he responded, "I've had some customer's watches here for over three years!" I guess that was supposed to make me feel better about the service I got? It was a ridiculous waste of time!

And what is wrong is that he spent nearly two hours tinkering with the unit but was unable to identify the problem or provide a solution. He proceeded to charge her $245 and didn't even provide a written bill or invoice. The next day, we called in Affordable Appliance Service and they quickly (within 15 minutes) identified the problem (faulty PC board) and were able to fix the issue at a lower amount than AAAA charged...to do nothing. AAAA should stand for "Absolutely And Always Avoid" Appliance Repair.
