That's what separates the fly-by-nights from businesses which have been around for 30+ years. I recently damaged my flatscreen 32" LED TV, which is only a year old. Rather than buy another new one, I figured I'd try getting this one repaired. I called Mcvey Electronics twice around lunchtime, got an answering machine both times, and didn't leave a message. He took the initiative to call me back anyway, seeing that I had called, to see if he could help me with anything. Try getting Walmart or another big business to call you back. That shows quality, personable service. I spoke with the gentleman regarding the problem with my TV and explained that there was an impact strike beneath the LED screen. He was honest and up front, explaining that I could buy a new TV for around the same price it'd cost to repair this one. He could've attempted to repair it and charged me hundreds of dollars, but instead he chose to give me honest advice - and probably cost himself a repair job in the meantime. I am an electronics and radio enthusiast. I'll use Mcvey Electronics for any repair work that I ever need done, simply because his response time was fast and because he had the integrity to save me from a costly repair.

The short version: Seth wasted 7+ weeks of my time and $430 of my money. My dryer was broken when I…read morecalled him and remains broken to this day. My dryer started tripping the breaker, so I called and scheduled an appt. Seth came and said it was definitely the motor. He ordered a new one and said it should take 7-10 days. It ended up taking 14 days, and 21 before he actually came to install it. Immediately, the dryer had the same issue, and his tune changed to "it's definitely the electricity." It felt like he was throwing very expensive spaghetti at the wall rather than admitting that he had falsely diagnosed the problem and unnecessarily replaced the motor. Before he left, he did get it to work and said something about how the new motor may have just been tight and needed to loosen up. I felt very uneasy and honestly should not have given him the rest of the payment, but I'm an idiot. Sure enough, the dryer stops working the following week. Called him, was told he is on vacation. Had to wait another week. When he contacts us, he tells us he is going to pick the dryer up and bring it to his shop. He can't do that until the following week. This should have been expedited, considering he charged us $430 to fix something that clearly did not need to be fixed and also considering we then had to already wait a week once it broke again. Seth picked up our dryer and said we would definitely get a call by Monday or Tuesday. By Tuesday evening, we had not heard from him. My husband called and was told Seth wasn't available, but that he would call back tomorrow. Wednesday comes, no word from Seth. Again, my husband calls. Again, he's not available. We called again on Thursday and finally got a call back later in the evening. Seth can't figure out what is wrong with our dryer, will "possibly" drop it off at our home tomorrow (Friday) and if not, will "definitely" drop it off Monday. No apology and certainly no offer of giving us our money back. He is taking no responsibility for his lack of expertise or for the fact that he clearly doesn't have enough knowledge to fix our appliance. The arrogance is truly astounding. Save yourself time, money, and headache by avoiding this company at all costs.

I called for my twenty year old gas range, the igniter on the broiler wouldn't light they came out…read morepromptly the next day and had it up an running . Two weeks later the igniter on the oven went, once again they were out within two days, and within twelve minutes had the oven working . They are polite and friendly and know their work. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again if I needed them.
