    Avoid at all costs. 0 stars if I could. This place destroyed my laptop…read more I rarely write reviews, but this experience was so bad that I feel obligated to warn others. On a Friday, I brought my MacBook Pro to Average Joe for a simple battery replacement. I clearly explained that I needed it back by Sunday because I had class on Monday. They assured me this was no problem and might even be done the same day. I picked it up Saturday afternoon and immediately discovered that my laptop would not charge while the lid was closed -- an issue that did not exist before. When I returned as soon as they opened Sunday morning, I was met with zero apology or urgency despite explaining how critical it was that I have my laptop ready for school. Hours passed with no update. When I finally reached out myself, the technician admitted the issue existed but said he couldn't fix it and asked me to wait until the "MacBook specialist" came in the next day -- after they had already held my laptop all weekend. If they had communicated this sooner, I would have taken my computer elsewhere. When I went to retrieve my laptop and request a refund, I was ignored for about 20 minutes while other customers were helped. Instead of simply returning my device, the technician decided -- without asking -- to install a different battery minutes before closing. When I finally got my laptop back, I immediately heard loud clanking noises from inside the machine, and the screen displayed a brand-new error message: "Battery Service Recommended." At this point, my laptop was in FAR worse condition than when I brought it in. When I raised this, I was told nothing more could be done and that they hadn't done anything to damage my device. The technician then claimed that any damage they cause is a "liability I agree to" simply by bringing my device in -- despite the fact that I never signed a contract, was never shown any written policy, and never saw any sign stating this in the store. I was then falsely accused of bringing the laptop in with that error already on the screen, which is completely untrue. I spoke with the owner, who was dismissive, spoke over me, and repeatedly said, "What do you want me to do about it?" This business showed no accountability, no professionalism, and no respect for a customer's time or property. I ultimately had to replace my laptop entirely because of the damage done here. I would not trust this place with an iPod. If you value your devices, go anywhere else. If you absolutely must use them, document the condition of your device thoroughly before handing it over.

Having…read morea Geek Squad Annual Service Plan, we bought a TV mount, sound bar, sound bar mount and Apple TV from Best Buy to mount, install and program. However, after making the purchases and going to make an appointment (which happened to be 2 weeks out), I was told by Best Buy that my Geek Squad Service Plan could not be used as it only applied to our home address. This was ludicrous given our daughter (a family member) was being moved into a property that was rented for one year and her permanent address was our residence. Enter Hello Tech! I found this company on line and made an appointment on Saturday and on Sunday afternoon our installation was completed by a very capable Hello Tech technician. I purchased their annual service plan and upon returning to Tampa, Florida, I had a Hello Tech technician install a Google Nest WiFi Learning Thermostat, 3rd Generation, along with three sensors, which I purchased from Lowe's. Best Buy and the Geek Squad are over rated. I will be canceling my service plan with Best Buy.

Now the year old Ring doesn't work and my home doorbell chime without anyone pushing the bell and the side door, which has no Ring bell no longer works. This was 3 hours of torture. I installed the original Ring in less time and everything worked. It worked when he came today to provide "service ". I need help. A real professional.
