I have now been helped by Average Joe on three occasions, all for separate issues and different devices. My most recent visit was today after I had to go back to Best Buys three times after I bought my new IPad. The "Geek Squad" was finally able to transfer most of my data, including emails and files after three visits, but could not transfer the texts that I had before I bought the IPad. Text are an essential part of my business and being able to look at my clients' history is vital. Joe was able to figure out that it was a syncing problem caused by an encryption issue. Joe went to battle with it and did in a couple of hours, what the "Geek Squad" was unable to do in what seemed to be an eternity across three visits. Joe is resourceful, tenacious and thorough. While I was there today, an elderly couple came in and I knew they would be in good hands. I know because I sent my 84 year old mother to them when I was out of town, when she had a meltdown on her phone. They were able to go through the whole boot up of the phone with her even though my mother didn't know her passwords, usernames, etc. They were able to explain things to her in a way that she could understand and they were extremely patient. I think that is one of the best service qualities they have, they are genuinely patient and helpful. Those are qualities that are hard to find these days. I recommend Average Joe 100% on every level that I can think of. I have written very few reviews in my days, but this is one that is a pleasure to pen. - Luis B

However, after making the purchases and going to make an appointment (which happened to be 2 weeks out), I was told by Best Buy that my Geek Squad Service Plan could not be used as it only applied to our home address. This was ludicrous given our daughter (a family member) was being moved into a property that was rented for one year and her permanent address was our residence. Enter Hello Tech! I found this company on line and made an appointment on Saturday and on Sunday afternoon our installation was completed by a very capable Hello Tech technician. I purchased their annual service plan and upon returning to Tampa, Florida, I had a Hello Tech technician install a Google Nest WiFi Learning Thermostat, 3rd Generation, along with three sensors, which I purchased from Lowe's. Best Buy and the Geek Squad are over rated. I will be canceling my service plan with Best Buy.
