I explained our budget and what I was looking for: a sewing machine that was a "work-horse", could sew thick denim, quilt, and machine embroider. However, Carol, working with our budget, suggested purchasing a Sewing/Quilting machine right now and I could within 6 months to 1 year trade-up to the $2500 Sewing/Quilting/Embroidery Machine! So, after seeing sewing demonstrations on 2 different machines I decided to purchase the Baby Lock Presto II Sewing/Quilting Machine. I used my old machine as a trade-in (received a brand new large sewing machine storage case on wheels worth $175.00), a magnetic pin cushion with pins, $300 off the $1299.99 floor model. Carol, let me know the correct bobbins that I needed for this new machine (different size than Brother), what thread to use, correct pre-wound bobbins, and offered to give me a free class on how to use the new machine.
