Avoid at All Costs -- Dishonest, Lazy, and Unprofessional…read more Total Quality Homes epitomizes the saying, "you get what you pay for." He'll quote an economical price, but it will come at a hefty cost. Jerry Beke of Total Quality Homes cuts corners, makes avoidable mistakes, skimps on materials, and lacks professionalism with his constant condescending and rude tone. This economical option cost me more in frustration, wasted materials, and ultimately, money lost due to his dishonesty. Jerry overcharged me by $1,000 and refused to return the money. I STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST hiring him for any construction project. Jerry's work was rushed, sloppy, and riddled with avoidable mistakes. His inaccurate estimates and neglect to measure twice before cutting forced me to make multiple trips for materials. He didn't properly trowel adhesive on the backs of tiles, creating uneven joints and voids behind them because it "wastes material." He admitted he "hates grouting", which showed in the recessed, uneven grout lines that left tile edges exposed. The shower niche shelf wasn't pitched correctly, causing water to pool instead of drain. He botched the herringbone pattern and left jagged, unfinished tile edges. His careless work also damaged my hallway's parquet flooring. I've only scratched the surface, but plenty more examples exist that illustrate Jerry's version of 'quality.' Beyond the shoddy work, Jerry also overcharged me by $1,000 due to a miscalculation in his final invoice. I provided clear documentation of his mathematical error, requested a refund multiple times, and even gave him multiple chances to propose a reasonable repayment timeline. Instead, he refused to return the money. FINAL VERDICT: If you want a contractor who cuts corners, performs subpar work, makes your home reek of cigarettes, disrespects clients, and refuses to pay back money he wasn't owed, then Jerry Beke is your guy. Otherwise, stay far away from Total Quality Homes.

He arrived on time, did what needed to be done with minimal disruption, and left the job site neat and orderly. This is the experience I had with Premier Refinishing. I deliberately waited almost a year to write this review because I wanted to be sure that the refinishing did what I hoped it would do...make my outdated bathroom look more modern. I also wanted to ensure that the paint stuck to the tiles without bubbling or peeling. I'm pleased to say that Sal and his crew exceeded my expectations. Sal provided an accurate quote, his crew arrived on time each day, took great care to maintain a clean work site, and were personable and efficient. When a minor issue arose, Sal showed up ON EASTER DAY to make sure he understood what needed to be corrected and had his team come to me the next business day. As it turns out, the fix was relatively simple. I highly recommend using Premier Finishing based on the professionalism with which they executed the job.

Now the finish is chipping after only a few months and the touch-up paint Sal gave me does not match the color of the finish they applied. Using them was a huge mistake. Very strongly consider what you are getting yourself into before engaging with this company. Their work and customer service are both terrible.

Alex, our Project Manager, did an excellent job helping us find paint colors, patiently helping us look through samples and figure out what would look best for our house. He was kind, responsive, and patient. He communicated so well, and always answered our many questions. Angel and Alex (a different Alex) did a superb job painting the house. They were respectful and meticulous. We couldn't be happier with how they handled everything - from start to finish. Thank you, Gikas!

Most recently a basement overhaul to use the space as a social/entertaining area. As with earlier projects, we are totally pleased with all aspects of their work. While I have no reason to doubt the negative reviews, that has never been our experience. I would not hesitate to contact them for projects in the future.

Buyer -- beware. I…read morewas given an agreed-upon price, and once the work started, the company tried to nearly double the cost. The crew worked for about an hour and a half when the foreman told me my roof was in terrible condition and claimed I needed 61 sheets of plywood at approximately $150 per sheet. He made it sound like the entire roof was in bad shape. I went up to inspect the roof myself and discovered that they had not even opened up three-quarters of the roof. I then had a roofer friend come over and independently check the situation. After everything was properly inspected, I only needed 5 sheets of plywood, which were already included in the original price. When I went to speak with the foreman and questioned him about the 61-sheet claim, I found out that he had left the job site. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. If you decide to use them, make sure you carefully check their work and verify any additional charges before agreeing to pay them. I believe customers should get what they were quoted and should not be pressured into unnecessary additional costs

As we all know, things happen and sometimes things just happen out of our control so I liked that assurance. Plus I had read about their quality and I liked what I saw. I don't believe you need to get custom everything but I also don't believe in buying the cheapest option available to you. This seemed like the perfect compromise. I was able to meet with a designer, and although we weren't changing much in the kitchen, as we were keeping the original layout, he was able to suggest where we could make some visual architectural tweaks to make the kitchen pop more. I very much appreciated that I could see a full sketch on the computer versus a drawing layout. Once I committed there was a deposit and then the remaining half down and the rest upon completion. I did have a hiccup with the crown molding being a different color, but they were able to order the correct one and it was shipped out within a month. However, I had to pay to have my contractor remove the initial molding and put the new molding up. There were also issues with holes not lined for shelving which we just have to live with or at some point commit to making our own holes. This is pretty poor. It has been about 6 months and so far they are holding up.
