The RN, Suzanne, who has a beautiful heart, nice lady, took me into a room and together with the radiology tech, Ms. Ashley, they prepared me for Dr. Kraft, excellent doctor. They were exceptionally good at taking care of me and explaining my conditions, what I need to do to control my extremely high blood pressure. Stopped…read moreint to several other "pop up" ER's I saw and one didn't do what I needed and they the other didn't take my insurance. BOTH had 2+ hour waits as well for customers who weren't even there but had checked in online. Literally NO ONE was in there waiting room. And someone presented with an emergency and they wouldn't take me in ... I had to WAIT. That's CRAP.... so I was headed to a regular Hospital 20 miles away and my brother called and suggested this one... I happened to literally be parked at a light next to it! I had no hopes after the first two places on this same road, coming out of Magnolia headed towards Conroe. But I went in because I was desperate. Tasha greeted me and was actually helping another couple. But saw I was in some distress and called me over, and asked them to sit as the gentleman was just there for a regular appt, no emergency. She got me set up,'signed in and registered, AND it's all online here,'they send all the forms to your phone and you fill them out. It's all PAPERLESS. I sat only about 5 minutes and sat taken back by Summer. She took my BP and temp checked my immediate vitals and had me explain what was going on. I was already in a room! Still doing my forms online. She left and said she'd be back. Upon her return about 20 mins later she tried to get blood which is what I needed to check for an electrolytes imbalance or low blood sugar, etc... and a urinalysis. That also ran a full Pneumonia, Influenza, RSV, and Covid panel as well with nasal swab. She had some issues with my blood. Draw so another nurse named Angela came in and boy do they two of them look similar to me! Anyway she got it and she told me 30-45 minutes for the results. So I played back on the bed and waited. In about 30 minutes I got text saying my discharge paperwork was being prepared. About 3 minutes later Dr Kasper came in. Very nice gentleman. Gave me a full. Physical exam, of heart and lungs etc. he said all my labs were good and my urine as well for a dialysis patient. Thinks maybe I did have a slight electrolyte or low potassium episode but as soon as it happened I did stop and grab a bottle of OJ and start drinking it. Or it may have been low blood sugar. But then the OJ would have helped with that as well and I'm finally seeing him almost 5 hours after it happened, so I'm still a little jittery and feeling anxious inside I tell him and he says he thinks I also had an Adrenaline Rush or DUMP. Because when I happened jumped into action to hurry and. Correct it and he said I do probably still have some of that but I will probably be feeling super tired soon. So they let me out feeling better that nothing was wrong inside. And I did make it home finally, ate for the first time all day and promptly went to sleep for about 3+ hours. Wakes feeling a lot better and HUNGRY. The whole team at the Clinic could not have been more friendly, quick, efficient or helpful. It was raining cats and dogs this day, it was very stressful and unnerving for me, and their professionalism and attention to details and quick care was much appreciated. Especially To Tasha up front who basically helped and so that whole online consent showing me how it worked where to click where to sign etc... because it was all Greek to me!!! Thank you so much for your extra time and care, Tasha... and your smile, . As someone coming in the door already upset, a little scared and in a town they don't live in, she made me so comfortable fright from the start. I even tried to walk out once or twice cuz I wasn't sure they could do what I needed and she was like "no, no, we do it all, you don't have to go. Just let me get you signed in..." if I am ever back here again an need emergency care while visiting Magnolia, this is where I will come.

Why 5 stars? Because this will be my go-to urgent care, moving forward…read more --- --- --- My son had a persistent cough that just wasn't going away, so I opted to take him here recently. The entire experience was great. We were able to make an appointment very quickly, we didn't have to wait too long at any point during our time here, and the people were super friendly. The woman behind the counter gave my son stuff to color while we waited, and they had a small kids table, which was really helpful for him to feel like he had a good experience (and to keep me sane). The doctor was also great - praising my son for being such an awesome patient, which probably gives him a very positive memory of going to the doctor. And most importantly, that cough disappeared almost immediately after he got on the meds! The whole experience was better than another urgent care that I've visited multiple times because it's closer to my house, but it's worth driving a little further for this one.

As my throat was having…read morespasms amd swelling from excessive coughing attacks and vomiting last Thursday morning around 3:30-4am I drove myself 4 mins down the road in fear that I wasn't going to be able to wait till my PCP opened at 8:30 am because I couldn't get air through my windpipe when the spasms occurred. Mind you my illness began on Wednesday around noon and since I progressively got to this point I was exhausted, my throat hurt so bad as well it was difficult to talk not only to hear me but the trigger of when these spasms occurred wasn't just the excessive coughing but try talking on a raspy voice that literally hurts and I was very scared I couldn't breathe, definitely not in the normal healthy state people are typically in but you'd think an emergency care nurse is used to that as well as thoroughly trained to listened, observe and react or respond accordingly so, well not this one! The front desk guy was amazing I showed him a text I wrote to my self about the allergies and asthma and all the above and he says it's okay here a pen and paper to write down your name, very sweet. I sat in wait room for like maybe 5 mins and honestly I barely remember the nurse intro and not sure how much effort she was putting in as she and this other lady were chatting it up as they walked ahead of me to a room behind a current near the front desk to I guess take my vitals. She told me to get on the scale and once I did nurse asked me to read aloud my weight! Like really? Did the front desk not fill her in about my voice? Also when is it the patients job to tell the nurse how or what to read on your own vitals that they are measuring? I did attempt to read it, got the numbers a bit wrong (again extremely exhausted, couldn't talk and rubbed wrong at this point so I tried to say I can't talk clearing my voice trying to speak up but her mannerisms were rude like I was taking too long to answer and not answering my weight correctly, so when she behaved so impatiently with an unempathetic concern, rushing words like "hello" and rude face gestures I showed her my text the same one I had shown the front desk guy and she wouldn't even read it, she was like what is this? Umm really, again didn't I just give off a ton of cues that I couldn't talk or was struggling to do so?? So I told her she was being extremely rude and I was leaving and I guess I said I will just go somewhere else, and walked to the front desk to try to give back the arm band and the front desk guy was again super sweet and picked up on my frustration and said just one minute let me find the scissors it will be okay. And I left. Neither of the nurses in that room tried to get me to stay the one she chatted it up with never even spoke to me not even sure why she was in there. Honestly don't even know there names, the woman who didn't speak to me was a darker skin woman and the rude one was white and I'm only saying this because I don't know which one wrote on the portal as she is describing the RN in third person and not saying "PT shoved her phone in my face" yet speaking as if summarizing her feelings about the visit she either observed or could have been the one I was that I'm complaining about. Below is the comment the nurse put on my online portal Nurse Sarah R at 8/21/2025 3:49 AM Pt brought back for triage in room one, pt asked to step on scale and for height, pt hesitant to answer, gave finger motion to "hold on" Pt then asked to sit in triage chair and asked what brought her to the emergency room, pt aggressively shoved cell phone in RN's face, causing RN to be taken aback. Asked patient "what is this?" Pt states "you are kinda rude, I can't talk" Pt then gathered her things "I'm going to another ER" Pt encouraged to stay, she chose to leave. I went home and thankfully didn't die before my husband got me to our PCP where I was injected with antibiotics and steroids as well as prescribed several prescriptions of 2 antibiotics and steroids for a couple of weeks along with continuing the use of asthma inhalers and follow up with an ENT next month. I will never ever go back there and just so you know I do have a history of easily getting sinus infections and bronchitis/ pneumonia but this was the first time in my 45 years of life to have ever had my throat close up like that so again it wasn't just another case of what I've gotten over my lifetime even during extensive allergy injections and prevention treatments!

Got recommended to go here by my little sister's pediatrician last Monday after she was concerned…read morethat my little sister might have an abscess on her throat. Mind you my sister could barely open her mouth or even speak, if her throat kept swelling it could've eventually affect her breathing. Once we arrived, the front desk lady came into the room and asked for her insurance. I explained to her that it had just expired, but her pediatrician had said they had people at the ER that could help me renew it again since I had no idea on how to do it. She sarcastically said, "We don't do that here if you need help call 211" and left the room. Right after the nurse came in and she was actually nice, she took some tests to make sure it wasn't strep throat or covid and said it would take a couple minutes. The doctor finally came in and asked us what was going on. I explained to her what the pediatrician had said about my sister having an abscess. She then asks me who her doctor was so I told her, she laughs and says "Of course she would send you here". She looks inside my sister's mouth for like 3 seconds and says she doesn't have an abscess and they would give her a steroid shot and antibiotics and send us on our way. The shot seemed to help for the rest of the night, but the next day she was back in excruciating pain, so my mom took her back to her pediatrician and explained everything that happened at the ER. Her doctor was shocked since she could clearly see the abscess and then sent my mom to Texas Children's Hospital. There my sister was hospitalized immediately and it turned out she in fact did have the abscess that was severely infected and was going to need surgery. Thankfully, they were able to treat the infection without going in surgically, and my sister was released Friday afternoon. But to think if the ER doctor would've taken us seriously in the first place, my sister could've been treated that same day instead of getting sent home.

The doctor is very personable and not an antibiotic pusher. We had a negative strep test, but there was obvious irritation and her tonsils were slightly swollen so the doctor did issue a prescription on hold so we could get it if allergy meds and rest didn't start to help. I was very impressed with the care and service and would highly recommend them.

I was able to walk out of the clinic with relief because of the care they provided. If you want fast, affordable and excellent care, go to this clinic! I'm so glad I found them...

From the sweet lady at the front desk (Kristina) who made registration quick & easy, to thoughtful Nurse Rommel, who gifted us with a small teddy bear as a brave patient prize, to kind & gentle Dr. Bechtel, we were seen by quality practitioners who gave prompt attention, treating our situation with professionalism & empathy. Being an over-protective parent, we felt it better to be safe than sorry and came here after our toddler got too curious for her own good. The clinic is open 24/7, so we were thankful to arrive after 10pm with little wait. Dr. Bechtel was not dismissive about the situation but offered light humor, comfort, and reassurance. They kept our kiddo in observation with us just long enough to make sure she was okay and marked our visit as "urgent care" (versus an "emergency") to ease the financial burden. Don't want to repeat the situation any time soon, but this will be our absolute go-to if a medical emergency arises again. Highly recommend this place and appreciate the staff who took care of us that night.

My son was assessed by the nurse and then by the doctor and got an IV hydration and some pills for nausea. I mentioned that he maybe passed out or had a seizure 4 days ago. we stay there until around 5:30 AM when he was dismissed. Now I found out that the doctor decided to make an upgrade to Emergency room with no explanation about it. I was tired and under stress so I signed on their Ipad. The bill is 1,560 dollars for an IV hydration and nausea pills they also did a CT scan. he only had a stomach virus. Don't go over there unless you really need an Emergency Room

They…read morecollected a urine sample and prescribed an antibiotic, saying results would be ready in 1-2 days. Nearly a week later, I still hadn't heard back, so I followed up myself. The receptionist, who was both unprofessional and clearly unqualified to discuss medical issues, informed me the results "just came in" and proceeded to read them to me over the phone without any explanation or medical context. When I said my condition had worsened, she casually told me to keep taking the antibiotic. I asked to speak with a nurse -- I was told someone would call me. Hours later, I heard back from the same receptionist, not a nurse, who said they had called in a new antibiotic, again offering no explanation of what it was, why it was prescribed, or how it would help. They also sent it to the wrong pharmacy. It's important to note that receptionists are not medically licensed and should not be discussing or interpreting lab results, giving advice about prescriptions, or handling patient care decisions. This is not only completely unprofessional, but also potentially a violation of patient privacy laws and medical standards. This experience left me confused, untreated, and in tears during my workday. I strongly urge others to seek care from a facility with competent medical staff and proper patient communication. This clinic is a risk to anyone with a serious health concern.

I took an out-home Covid test and it was negative. I assumed it was strep, which requires antibiotics, so I wanted to go get tested. My wife had a good experience here recently, so I figured I would try it out. I went online to reserve a time and there was something available 20 minutes from when I was looking. I checked out the GPS and it was going to take me 17 minutes to arrive. Perfect. My main reason for the 5-star review here is that they do not require patients to wear masks. It's not that wearing a mask for a half hour is the end of the world, it's more that I hate participating in the stupidity of something that accomplishes nothing other than extend society's exuberant anxiety. Wear one if you want, but Brazos not requiring them is why they gained a fan in me. My co-pay was $75, which I thought was a little steep. I tested negative for strep and then it was suggested I test for the flu. That came back positive. And when I left, I assumed I'd owe more, but nope! That $75 suddenly didn't seem so steep as it was all-inclusive, at least for what I received. See ya next time Brazos, though I hope it's not for a while. The flu was intense enough to last me for the rest of the year.

A follow up trip to my doctor the next day and a sonogram showed them to be liars just trying to sell me expensive cat scans they would not state a price for. Total liars and medical fraud. Next day, all my records of the visit the night before magically vanished, which is clearly illegal. Do yourself a big favor and stay away from CHI St. Luke's for any medical needs.

Big, Expensive mistake…read more My son sprained his ankle, we wanted an X-ray just to make sure it wasn't broke since he couldn't walk on it without excruciating pain. We were in there for about an hour. First off, the lady at the check in desk didn't know how to do half the stuff and had to call for the nurse (big guy in black scrubs) to help her check us in. They looked at his ankle, asked questions, did the X-ray, wrapped his ankle in an ace bandage, gave him crutches and a liquid drinkable dose of Tylenol. ($75) told him it's just a sprained ankle and sent us on our way. I'll post the pictures of the bills I've received. A week later we went ahead and made a follow up appointment with an Ironman Orthopedic Dr in the woodlands (Dr Coupe- he's amazing!) . He gave us an air cast and we didn't receive another outrageous bill from them like we did with St Luke's ER. I'll break down the itemized charges from the ER in case you can't see the image well. The total bill was for $1742. Yup, for a sprained ankle... The bill came from 'CHI St. Luke's Emergency Health Center'. Breakdown: $1430. ER Moderate Service $227. Ankle X-ray $75. Tylenol Elixer - Codein (yes... you read that right) $10. Light compression band (ace bandage) My insurance made an adjustment of $-836. I paid $100. Copay at the time of service. So my final bill from the ER itself is now $805. For a sprained ankle. If you think you have a broken bone, Just go to an actual orthopedic dr... don't come here. I also received a separate bill from 'Medical Center Emergency Physicians' for the Dr's charges which were $590! My insurance made an adjustment of $494 so I have to pay $95 now. This was for Dr. Kevin J Schwechten. This is a totally reasonable price. I also received another bill from 'Hanger Clinic' for $28 for the crutches. -__- So please, only come here if you don't mind spending $75 on a single dose of Tylenol. Unless you're bleeding to death, go to a different ER.
