After thirteen years of working with Theroux Orthodontics, now Total Orthodontics, I feel compelled to write a review from an "insider's" perspective. I was privileged to be a part this practice and see it develop from a very small business of five employees to a thriving practice now employing sixteen talented, professional and fun staff members. I am excited and honored to be able to share my continued support and praise of Dr. Theroux and Dr. Barefoot. Both doctors have always based their business model on providing honesty to their patients; integrity and professionalism from their staff, and demanding the highest quality of treatment and outcome for their patients. If these aren't enough Dr. Theroux was the first orthodontist to introduce the national program, "Smile for a Lifetime" into the Denver Metro area. This non-profit program provides free orthodontic services to underprivileged children. You can learn more of this great program on the Total Orthodontic website. When I was hired by Dr. Theroux, those many years ago, he promised me that I would always be proud of working for him. To this very day that promise still holds true. Even though I have moved out of Colorado I still make referrals to friends, and acquaintances in need of orthodontics. Suffice it to say that Total Orthodontics is the premier orthodontic practice in the area and smart money is best spent where the best outcome is experienced. We have been sooo extremely pleased with Theroux Orthodontics!!! The entire staff is amazing! The office is beautiful,they have state of the art technology, the staff couldn't be nicer, there is never a wait time, and Dr. Theroux and Dr. Barefoot are the BEST! It's a one class act!!!!!!!. My kids are always excited to go to their next appt. My first experience with Theroux was 6 years ago when we took my oldest of four to see Dr. Theroux for a consultation. He told us that my daughter would not need braces. I was shocked. I thought all orthodontics put kids in braces whether they needed them or not. Dr. Theroux demonstrated such a high level of honesty and integrity. Since then I have had 2 other kiddos in braces. The entire staff has met and gone beyond every one of my expectations. They truly care about every kiddo that comes into their office. My oldest daughter, who didn't need braces went back to Theroux as a sophomore in high school because she wasn't happy with the small space between her two front teeth. Dr.Theroux discussed with her the different options and ended up putting 4 brackets on the inside of her four front teeth so no one could see them. We can't say enough about Theroux Orthodontics! The whole team over there has been fantastic to work with for braces for our 3 daughters. Our oldest daughter had some challenges with a Talon's Cusp and needed additional work done and Dr. Theroux worked with other specialists to make the whole ordeal very smooth for the family. Dr. Barefoot joined the team as our second daughter was starting her course with braces and has brought a happy and fun atmosphere to an already wonderful place; the whole family has enthusiastically embraced Dr. Barefoot. Our Third daughter is just starting her course and we couldn't be more satisfied and secure to know that she is in great hands in the TO office. But no review of the offices at Theroux Orthodontics would be complete if we didn't also point out that two of the best assets over there are Dental Technicians Leigh and Bella. These two are the most sensitive and caring individuals you may ever encounter in any Dental office in the whole state. They understand that teen girls sometimes are more comfortable with female technicians than their male counterparts and work hard to ensure that all the patients are cared for according to their individual preferences. I truly can't say enough good things about this WONDERFUL, AMAZING place. To start off, my daughter is autistic and very sensitive and fearful. Dr. Barefoot and his staff went above and beyond to meet her needs. I was so thankful for the youtube/tutorial video they emailed before our first visit. Them giving us the opportunity to view what my daughter would be experiencing beforehand was ideal and made all the difference. This simple, yet brilliant, addition prepared my daughter for her initial appointment and proves the above and beyond effort of the doctors and staff at Total Orthodontics. They truly think ahead and care about their patients. The front desk staff is friendly and super organized. The technicians are patient and always smiling. Our family has been extremely satisfied with Theroux Orthodontics first class service and treatment since 2008! We thought our oldest might need braces and when I talked to friends I heard $10K for braces and 2 phases of braces! We did not think we would need that extensive treatment but sure enough that's what we were quoted. We decided to do some further research and found Theroux Orthodontics. Only 6% of their patients have received 2 phases of braces and our treatments were significantly below $10K. In addition, they start seeing kids around age 11 every 6 - 9 months for FREE until they are ready for braces or they deem they do not need braces! Wow! That is truly quality client centered service! Seveal years ago I was hit in the mouth in an accident at work which, while not breaking teeth, moved them and I was in fear of loosing several.of them. Dr. Theroux examined the structuire and stability of the roots,and correctly placed braces which saved my teeth. On each visit I paid particular attention to how he and his staff related to his patients. Each patient was treated as though he/she was the only one in the room. Just as he did with me, he explained what the treatment plan would be how long it should take and what the expected result should be. Although there were many patients there I never felt like I wasn't valued and my outcome important to him. There is truth in the addage, " If you want something done, give it to a busy person". I saw that his practice is busy because of the excellence he expects from his staff and exacting and perfection in treatment each patient received. 12/30/2014 I am thoroughly impressed with Dr. Theroux and his entire staff for the excellent care I received for almost two years. From the first evaluation visit to my very last check up, the experience was awesome! I am an older (yes- braces in my mid 50's) patient who needed to get braces prior to getting veneers as I had some very worn down teeth. The entire experience for me as an older patient with braces was a bit daunting to begin but the entire staff put me at ease very quickly. Dr. Theroux is always very professional, efficient in the way he runs his ship, but also very kind and makes sure his patients and staff have fun while they are in his office. I would recommend this office, as well as the DTC office, to anyone at any age that needs othodontic treatment. It was very sad saying goodbye to this group of true professionals. read more

I have wanted to write this review for a few months now. Dr. Barefoot and Dr. Theroux are absolutely excellent people and excellent at what they do. I brought my daughter in a few years ago for her set of full braces and because of their outstanding customer service and support, I ended up getting a full set of braces myself! Braces are uncomfortable by nature, but the ongoing care and support you get from this office I'm sure is second to none as I found myself wanting for nothing care-wise as all the little details were taken care of by the office staff. My daughter and I are more confident due to our new and improved smiles and I still get compliments all the time! I've been to many other orthodontic offices, but they do not compare to Theroux Orthodontics! The staff is always so welcoming and beyond friendly. They always ask how you are, how your week is going, they want to get to know you as an individual, rather than just seeing you as a patient. They always make me feel so comfortable and welcomed. The office is always immaculate! My Mother also always tells me that she loves this office because of the waiting room, it has a coffee maker, snacks, and an endless amount of magazines. My daughter started with orthodontics earlier than many kids (7 years old). She is an anxious child, and was nervous about everything involved ... impressions, expander, etc. Dr. Theroux and Dr. Barefoot have done a remarkable job making her comfortable and they are patient and understanding with her anxieties. They understand it is the little things that make a difference, from IPads in the waiting room to a song and silly hat when finished with a procedure. They are really good at what they do. My daughter has been a patient of TO for over a year now, she loves going and her smile is looking great! When I look back at pictures of my son I can't believe the transformation. He has a beautiful, healthy smile today thanks to Dr. Theroux. He was 8 years old when the dentist recommended we see Dr. Theroux to check on his crooked bite. I remember feeling anxious. But, from the very first appointment with Dr. Theroux my husband and I agreed we were in extremely capable and kind hands. We are thrilled with the results for our middle child. Being new to the area I am very nervous about finding a provider that is not just after my money. I am so glad I found Total Orthodontics. They truly are honest and conservative toward treatment. They take the time to answer and explain any questions I may have and I have many. They know me by name as soon as I walk in and we always have a great time. They are thorough, personable, conservative, reputable and the staff are so kind and courteous. They work extended hours and the staff and docs are there nearly 11 hours/day to provide an extra convenient schedule to all their patients. Our family really loved Dr. Theroux and all of the wonderful staff people in both the Lone Tree and the Belleview office. Both of our children had first phase braces done in a different office, and when it was time for phase 2, we started looking around for someone different to take care of them. A friend recommended Dr. Theroux and we could not have been happier with the care and results both children received! One of our children really had a problem with stuff in their mouth and the assistants there took extra time and patience to be sure every experience was great! Several years ago my dentist recommended Theroux Orthodontics to straighten my teeth. Dr. Theroux determined that I was a good candidate for Invisalign braces. More recently, I returned to have a new retainer made and what most impressed me about Dr. Theroux and his very professional staff is how meticulous they are in getting perfect results.
