The front desk receptionist was very rude to a older man who couldn't fully write all of his information on a piece of paper

Tell me the last time you saw a doctor truly listen!?! She is a gem - protect her at all costs! I was in and out of the clinic in no time (35 minutes) including my strep test, and they even called my script in to Walgreens. The facility is very clean, and everyone from the front desk to the nurses, was so kind. Absolutely wonderful place if you find yourself having to run in for Urgent Care. Bonus points for having a television in the exam rooms, so one doesn't get bored. Great distraction! We were in BR to move a niece into LSU, but if we ever find ourselves in need of care and in Baton Rouge again, I would not hesitate to return - as well as recommend to anyone who needs urgent care.

You come in, sign in on the tablet, show ID & insurance, then wait in your car until you are called. I waited for more than an hour. It was long, but I expected it. And at least I got to wait in the comfort of my vehicle versus a cold waiting room. The technician that took my vitals and performed the test was very hospitable. The front desk staff greeted me and were nice as well. The only negative is the parking lot. Spots are few. However, I would visit this location again.

My wife and I have been patients at The Baton Rouge Clinic for over 20 years. The physicians…read moreespecially Dr. Paul Fitzmorris, are excellent: responsive, compassionate, and professional. The problem is the administration. After being advised to undergo an EGD on April 20, I was told to pay $228.01 upfront because my deductible wasn't met. I asked to wait until insurance processed the claim based on a prior billing error that took months to fix. I also noted my long history of paying upfront when required, including for a colonoscopy last year. This wasn't refusal; it was reasonable caution. I even offered my standard $50 copay in good faith. That was rejected. Instead, I was told I must pay at least 50% upfront or my procedure would be rescheduled. That is not flexibility, it's coercion, kind of taking advantage of a patient situation. Conditioning a medically recommended procedure on advance payment, especially for a long-standing, reliable patient, is unacceptable. This kind of rigid policy erodes trust and overshadows the excellent care provided by the physicians. A clinic with doctors of this caliber should not allow administrative practices to undermine patient confidence so severely. Syed Khalil

When the only "tool" you have is a nurse practitioner, don't expect quality medical treatment…read more The BR Clinic Urgent Care used to offer quality care quickly, but that changed after the pandemic. I have been there twice since the pandemic was over, and each time I was misdagnosed. Two years ago, I sought treatment there when my appendix was about to rupture (but I didn't know that at the time). The nurse practitioner in charge ordered an ultrasound, but only on the top half of my abdomen, so the technician missed what almost killed me. At the time, I thought this bad experience was a one-off. I returned to this facility last week when I was feeling poorly and my throat was closing up. I suspected strep, so the nurse practitioner did a test, which came back negative, so she sent me home with a 3 day course of steroids. Did not do a flu test or a COVID test while I was there. As soon as I took the last steroid, the symptoms returned with some extra ones, so now I am going to an actual medical doctor for treatment. I think the quality of care I received would have been better if this facility was staffed by a medical doctor, not someone who is essentially cosplaying as an MD. The Baton Rouge Clinic itself is outstanding, so I am shocked and disappointed that their urgent care facility is so bad. Why have such a facility if it continues to offer such subpar care that people need to seek more medical treatment? The BR Clinic Urgent Care facility tarnishes the reputation of the entire BR Clinic.

After registering, I was immediately taken to one of the cleanest, most comfortable exam rooms I've ever been in. Treatment was quick, compassionate and painless. Let me tell you how fun it is to travel for work when you're sick…read more After battling a cold and then hopping on an airplane, I started to feel like something worse was going on. Since I still had some travel left, I decided to Yelp an urgent care and make sure I didn't have something worse than an annoying virus. Patient Plus did a good job of figuring out what was going on. Once the physician's assistant examined me and listened to what was happening, he recommended a chest x-ray, which they do at their location. I'm always weary of urgent care clinics trying to push unnecessary procedures on you, but this one seemed to make sense. The chest x-ray was quick and the results were back five minutes later. They were also able to give me a quick breathing treatment which made me feel ten times better. The PA called in a prescription close to my next hotel's location, and even gave me a sample of the medication so I could take it right away. The entire appointment lasted less than an hour, which was wonderful, but I was the only patient there. The PA was great, but the rest of the staff was extremely lackluster. They seemed to lack even basic communication skills and just had an odd demeanor. I would still recommend this urgent care, but it was definitely strange. All in all, it's a reliable spot when you need some quick medical attention.

I went and got my Covid 19 vaccine today, When you go to get your vaccination you go in the main door closes to McCelland drive the reason I'm telling you that is there are is a Emergency entrance and a urgent care entrance and a primary care main entrance and this is a big place so I just am trying to save you a few steps, me I went in on the far end because I had no idea where to go but as soon as I got inside a nice staff worker told me I needed to go outside and down to the other end at the main entrance. I got the Pfizer it vaccinates you for COV-2, SARS and COVID 19. I got the first dose today and go back in 3 weeks for the second dose. I truly hate shots but I actually didn't even feel the needle. When I walked inside there was a staff member taking temperatures and she took mine and I told her I was there to get my Covid 19 vaccination she told be where to go with was basically directly behind her. Then I told the next staff member the same thing and she asked my name and checked her list to make sure I was on it and had me sit down to b called. I was called in less than 5 minutes and gave the receptionist all my name and then I sat back down until I was called in another room to get my shot, took only about 5 more minutes. When I was called into the next area I was asked a few questions and then sent to one of the nurses and then verified my name and birthday and given my first dose of the vaccine then you go wait in a room for 15 minutes to make sure you don't have a bad allergic reaction then you can go. I just want to say every single staff member from the lady taking the temperatures to the nurse that gave me the shot and the staff member that was watching me for the 15 minutes everyone is exactly nice and helpful. Update March 20, 2021 Today I got my second dose of the Pfizer Covid 19 vaccine and again it didn't hurt at all and so far I haven't had any side effects and knock on wood hopefully I won't.
