They got me checked in and seated very quickly. The nurses, front desk staff, and Natalia are all great to work with.

Words cannot express how well my ER visit went today. Thank you all so much! I was at this location this afternoon for a work related injury. I cannot remember the name of the ER in-take nurse but she was so helpful, kind, empathetic, and knowledgeable. She did a fantastic job of getting me checked in and seen right away. Then I met Dr. Erin MacDonald Owens, she was friendly, caring, and listened to my concerns. She acted accordingly and facilitated my needs with Radiographs, oral medications given in hospital and prescriptions sent to my most convenient pharmacy. I then met the sweetest nurse, I apologize that I forgot her name! She helped me with all paperwork and assisted me in finding the correct information on my paperwork that I arrived with from my place of business. She was the best; so nice, very caring and stayed with me until I fully understood everything going on. She did not leave me until I had all questions answered. Thank you, to an amazing female nurse that comforted an anxious patient. Then I met Paul, he came in and performed radiographs of my Left elbow/forearm. He had the greatest personality, he even allowed me to joke about my veterinary career field. He was so gentle, funny, and put my mind at ease so I could continue with Dr. Owens's orders. After some time I met Brooke, whom fitted me with a sling to help comfort my injured arm. She made me laugh and is clearly very experienced in her field of medicine. I want to say thank you to the amazing team of nurses and Dr. You all greatly contributed to easing my mind and understand today's course of action.

However, after being healthy for three years and not needing to visit, I was surprised and disappointed to learn that they had canceled me as a patient. I now have to re-establish myself as a new patient, which comes with additional costs. They still have all my charts and history, so it was hard to understand why this was necessary. They told me that is the standard practice across the industry, but this affirms that healthcare providers are only in it for the money now, not customer service or patient care. I'm deeply saddened to know that this practice is more focused on squeezing every dollar out of you than on the health and long-term care of their patients.

I had my routine annual physical done, then some time later I came in because I suspected that I was having a gout flare up, but that had never been diagnosed. The office ran a blood test to test for uric acid, based on which I was diagnosed with gout prescribed a couple of medications. I never had a good feeling while visiting the office -- the staff felt brusque at best, so I decided to switch my PCP to a doctor that a friend recommended. Then more than a year ago, I receive letters in the mail claiming that I had a balance from a doctor's visit. The name of the patient was not me, nor my wife, but had my same last name. I had already discontinued going to Family Medicine Plus for over 2 years. I was forced to call the office to find out why they were sending the bill to the wrong party. The office manager claimed that it would be fixed, however, I received additional mail attempting to claim the balance, and I was forced to call once again. Then, this morning, I received another call from a random number in California claiming that I had a balance from a visit in May. So, I had to call again. The office manager claimed that no one was attached to my account and that I had no balance. I wanted to know why I'm still getting these calls and wanted to make sure that no damage was being done to my credit. She insisted that everything had been fixed, and said she would loop in Dr. Hastings, before abruptly hanging up. I waited 5 minutes before writing this review, but the staff and this office acts as if doing their job (for which they are paid) is akin to doing you a favor.

We arrived and were taken back to have my babies vitals taken. When we got in the room there was 2 nurses, one asking questions about the baby and one taking vitals. The nurse asking questions left and the nurse taking my poor babies rectal temperature proceeded to insert the ENTIRE probe thermometer (NOT an at home thermometer) in my child all the way to the base. At the time I was in absolute shock but being that i'm a first time mother I didn't question her, I just made a face to my mother and the babies father who thank god we're in the room with me. The nurse then immediately walked out after taking the temperature. I then started asking questions, trying to comprehend what I had just watched and experienced. I knew in my gut and was very concerned that what had just happened was not appropriate for a newborn. The doctor then comes in and asks about my babies low body temperature and asks how we were taking the temperature at home. Before I answered him I said "well let me ask you a question.. how far should the thermometer be insert-" and he quickly cut me off. He then states that the nurse had "already told him". My mom had then asked him "well what did she tell you?". He rudely follows that with saying that the nurse already told him that I made a "crazy face" at her while she was taking his temperature. I then said "I sure did, because she inserted the entire thermometer probe up my child?"... then he laughs says hold on and walks out of the room. He came back with a AT HOME thermometer and tried to say that we should only inserting an inch ect. Every time what the nurse did got brought up he changed the subject and dismissed our concerns. He proceeded to check out my child's rash and then says he needs to speak with the ER dr. He goes and makes a call and when he came back he asked questions about who my pediatrician was.. rolled his eyes.. asked about certain vaccines.. rolled his eyes and his entire demeanor changed. He was extremely unprofessional, arrogant, rude and now asking me (mother) questions that felt unrelated and uncomfortable. Once he heard who my pediatrician was adamant we go to the ER.. prior to this conversation he made it seem non emergent and optional. At this point i'm extremely upset and just want what is best for my baby, so if that is going to the ER thats absolutely fine. He goes to get the order form and as he is outside our door he tells multiple people in a group "She said you stuck the thermometer 5 inches up his butt!" and they all started laughing hysterically. He then said "Then she said you picked up the baby and spun him around the room" they then all laughed again.. as if the situation, harm, bullying, and unprofessionalism towards a concerned mother and a defenseless 3 week old baby was the funniest thing they have ever heard. Sickening. Dr Atkins then came back in with a huge smile on his face and that's when I told him that we can hear everything he just said and I questioned what is funny about this situation. He LAUGHED and said he just had to tell them what was going on. Dr Atkins made JOKES about a situation that I voiced I was concerned about complications that put my baby's health at risk. At this point I am crying. I take the order form and with a smile on his face he says "yall have a good night". When we left the room there was not a nurse in sight. Insanely dismissive behavior and traumatizing all around. I feel so bad for any kids lives in the hands of these people. Once we arrived at the ER, I was told that rectal temperatures in newborns are typically taken at about 1/2 inch to 1 inch, which increased my concern about how my baby's temperature had been taken earlier. We were advised to monitor for signs of complications by the ER Dr
