I was almost 3 years post partum when I went to see Dr. Bunner. I had been suffering terribly since…read more3 days after my daughter was born. Dr. Bunner was the 1st doctor to actually listen to me. I know my body. I had seen 4 OB's within my original practice starting from 6 months PP up until a few months ago. They told me everytime "this is NOT post partum depression caused by hormones, this is psychiatric, we can't help you. You need to see a psych". I left each appt in tears begging for help. I had already been seeing a psych since right before I got pregnant due to a traumatic event. The OB tested my hormones and kept telling me everything is fine, looks good. When I saw Dr. Bunner and explained to her I was sure it was hormonal and not psychiatric, she tested my hormones which came back within normal standards.
