We moved in to our house in 2016 and the property was an overgrown nightmare. Any money we could spend on the yard was first spent having dozens of trees removed, many of them dead/dying/dangerous. When we were finally ready for real landscaping in 2019, we called Neal - several people in our neighborhood had used him and their yards were beautiful. After he came out and gave us an idea of what he had in mind and an estimate, we went with him. They cleared the property, graded, put down topsoil, Bermuda sod, and a bunch of plants. The results were stunning so we had him come back the next year for another round of plants and a firepit area (we knew we couldn't afford to do everything we wanted all at once so this was always our plan). Since then, I've worked hard to maintain our property and we get tons of compliments on it. I've added a few of my own touches as well and everything was fine until the last remaining giant tree in our front yard crashed down during a storm in May. Again, we called Neal - he came out an immediately started formulating a plan. We'd had the fallen tree removed/stump ground, but the straw bed was a mess and in need of some grading. I wanted a tree to replace the one that fell, and some more plants (a few were crushed when it fell, a few had died during a freeze followed by another freeze two years ago). He also suggested some pruning, as I'd put that particular task off. The actual day Neal and crew came out, I was lamenting that my bed of hostas was burning up because they were now in full sun and he instantly had a plan for relocating them around the yard to a few spots and putting some sun-loving plants in their place. I figured this would be part of a future project but he was able to include it with the project that day. As always, the results are phenomenal. I will never be able to say enough good things about Neal and his team. We moved into a house with an overgrown yard with 20+ dead or dying trees in it. We needed a complete overhaul. We got Neal's number from a friend who had used him, and got to work. The entire process was so smooth and easy. Since his team does not do tree removal, he personally connected us with a tree service and coordinated the removal. He then did extensive grading, shaping, plant additions, a stone fire pit, and laid sod. Our backyard went from an unusable forest to a yard you see in magazines. Throughout the estimating process, Neal stuck to the budget we gave him and moved things here and there to stay within budget and get what we wanted. When any unforeseen costs came up (needing an additional load of dirt/extending the sprinkler system to reach the full yard) he approved the cost with us, and even attempted to pull the cost from somewhere else in the estimate. I was so incredibly thankful that he cared enough to make this exactly what we wanted within the amount we wanted to spend. On the last day here, Neal and his team even mowed our front yard, weeded our flower beds, and re-mulched them just as a nice gesture. He wasn't even here working on the front yard!! WE LOVE OUR NEW LAWN!! Its is so green. The sod has been in for about three weeks now and it is coming together so nicely.
