I took my son there to get an exam only. They took him back to get x-rays done. Xray tech told me she would bring him back to me after the x-rays/before his exam. I wanted to speak to the doctor before they take him to exam room so I was ok with that. 15 minutes later they come and got me and tell me that they brushed his teeth and the used floride on his teeth after I put on the update form DO NOT USE FLUORIDE and my son told them do not use Florida on his teeth, they did it anyway and the "doctor" Lan B. Nguyen signed off on the update form so she knew he was not supposed to have fluoride. The doctor , the X-ray technician  Maryland (that was supposed to bring my son back to me after xray!) and the dental assistant Amy ALL knew not to use fluoride and did it anyway.  I put on the update form that the doctor singed off on DO NOT USE FLUORIDE! I have no idea how or why he is a PEDIATRIC dentist. This is a five year old girl who is scared of dentist, already given a sedative by the nurse, and was terrified because they wanted her to lay on this board that would restrain her! How about having kindness, compassion, and patience? The dentist said we could force her to get the work done, and I would have to leave the room (red flags!!!) or come back for general anesthesia. He has had 2 general exams/cleanings, a cavity check and 2 appointments concerning the cavity as well as a procedure done (2 caps, treatment for the cavities. All that being said I would recommend this office based on their DENTAL PROFESSIONALISM AND KNOWLEDGE. As many reviews states, their customer service overall could use improvement. Dr T is the real reason I choose to continue to take my children here. I was first given a recommendation by the dentist my son has seen for all of his visits to paint his cavities with silver diamine - I was hesitant to do this given no X-rays had been taken nor was I given any other option... I chose to seek a second opinion from a different office. Upon them taking X-rays I was told silver diamine would have not worked or given long term results given the cavities were big/deep. Given the dental office I went to does not do pediatric procedures I chose to go back to Wild West Dentistry and see a different dentist - Dr Tawil, he had X-rays taken and reviewed X-rays from the other dental office and recommended my son be put under general anesthesia and have 2 caps placed on the teeth to prevent further decay. Dr Tawil had great empathetic communication skills regarding the entire recommendations, answered our concerns with pleasure and kindness. He is truly the reason we chose to get the procedure done at Wild West. Sadly, at this office it just depends what front desk or dental assistants are there that day. Some are very nice, and others seem irritated and are very abrasive when you ask questions, are taking your time with paperwork etc. Dr Davis performed the procedure, placing 2 caps on my son's front tooth. She was very communicative and clear when it came to the treatment, and what would be done as well as great with educating us on after care. And last but not least the Anesthesiologist team. AMAZING!! They were VERY empathetic, informative and kind. Dr Andall (I belive that's the spelling) was very kind and patient with my son. And the two assistants he had were very kind and informative as well. The front desk gal we got the day of the surgery was very kind, very informative and answered every concern and question with empathy.
