Upon arrival, I was informed for the first time that parents are not allowed in the treatment room. This policy had not been communicated to me beforehand during scheduling or in any paperwork. As a parent, I expressed that I was uncomfortable with my 7-year-old undergoing treatment and sedation without my presence. I made it very clear that I was not questioning the dentist's professional ability and was simply advocating for my child's safety and comfort. Unfortunately, the dentist responded defensively and the conversation became unnecessarily confrontational. Rather than calmly explaining the policy or working toward a solution, there was significant pushback when I voiced a reasonable concern as a parent. Because I no longer felt comfortable proceeding under those circumstances, I made the decision to stop the appointment and leave before treatment began. My child will be receiving care at a different dental office. I understand that every practice may have its own policies, but transparency and respectful communication with parents are essential--especially when treating children. Policies regarding parental presence during pediatric treatment and sedation should be clearly communicated prior to the appointment so families can make informed decisions. I hope the practice reviews how these situations are handled moving forward. I would appreciate having someone from office management contact me to discuss this experience.

Well they continued to charge me every month and then my new insurance started making $500 payments but they said I STILL had to make my payments until I was fulled paid off regardless if my insurance was covering it or not!! How does that make any sense !? Plus it was so absolutely impossible to get ahold of the ortho side for months ! There was a lot of giggling/laughing and making sounds back there which is fine but I found it to be very unprofessional and immature especially for someone over 40 yrs old. I've also had to interact with these individuals in the past to setup a follow up and they were very rude! I'll be looking for a new dentist office.

He has had 2 general exams/cleanings, a cavity check and 2 appointments concerning the cavity as well as a procedure done (2 caps, treatment for the cavities. All that being said I would recommend this office based on their DENTAL PROFESSIONALISM AND KNOWLEDGE. As many reviews states, their customer service overall could use improvement. Dr T is the real reason I choose to continue to take my children here. I was first given a recommendation by the dentist my son has seen for all of his visits to paint his cavities with silver diamine - I was hesitant to do this given no X-rays had been taken nor was I given any other option... I chose to seek a second opinion from a different office. Upon them taking X-rays I was told silver diamine would have not worked or given long term results given the cavities were big/deep. Given the dental office I went to does not do pediatric procedures I chose to go back to Wild West Dentistry and see a different dentist - Dr Tawil, he had X-rays taken and reviewed X-rays from the other dental office and recommended my son be put under general anesthesia and have 2 caps placed on the teeth to prevent further decay. Dr Tawil had great empathetic communication skills regarding the entire recommendations, answered our concerns with pleasure and kindness. He is truly the reason we chose to get the procedure done at Wild West. Sadly, at this office it just depends what front desk or dental assistants are there that day. Some are very nice, and others seem irritated and are very abrasive when you ask questions, are taking your time with paperwork etc. Dr Davis performed the procedure, placing 2 caps on my son's front tooth. She was very communicative and clear when it came to the treatment, and what would be done as well as great with educating us on after care. And last but not least the Anesthesiologist team. AMAZING!! They were VERY empathetic, informative and kind. Dr Andall (I belive that's the spelling) was very kind and patient with my son. And the two assistants he had were very kind and informative as well. The front desk gal we got the day of the surgery was very kind, very informative and answered every concern and question with empathy.

Moral of the story after what I would say is a 20 minute appt turned into over an hour. Then after noticing my son was gagging a lot the assistant just kept trying to stick things in his mouth which lead him to throw up. The receptionist wasn't welcoming either.

I only get notified through a text message with the appointment date and time which if I deleted the old text messages from when I first scheduled the appointment then I wouldn't have realized the time changed. Then when I called to reschedule it back to the original time, the scheduler tells me that they do not have a 4pm time slot as their office closes at 4pm and when I reached out to their websites live chat support, the person tells me that the providers schedules vary so their office hours vary depending on the provider. Also when I tried to get rescheduled to their office location, that I was told ONLY accepts my DHMO plan by the receptionists in the office, the scheduler on the phone tells me that NONE of their office locations accept DHMO plans at all. Idk. Changes occur without the patient being notified before they occur.
