I would have loved to give this place 5 stars. Unfortunately, I was never even given the…read moreopportunity to become a client. I reached out to Christi regarding a potential appointment, simply asking for her opinion and whether she would be willing to work with me. Initially, I received a quick response, which I appreciated. However, after answering her follow-up questions, I was left on delivered for over 24 hours. I then sent a very polite follow-up message just to see if she was unable to take me as a client. To my surprise, I never received a response at all for the week. In my opinion, that level of communication is extremely unprofessional and not a great reflection of customer care, especially for someone claiming to be a small business owner that relies heavily on client relationships. Now I am unsure if I even want to move forward with anyone else at this salon due to the negative experience. I found Christi through the salons website so I apologize ahead of time if her Instagram booking is not a representation of the salons customer support.

They use organic hair color. That is excellent. But unfortunately, that's the only really good…read morething I have to say about my experience. The place was small and cramped. Very cramped. There is zero ambiance. There are no offers made for tea or coffee. There isn't much way you can feel very pampered or comfortable. My friend was with me and was made to move, I had to move my jacket for this other client and it was awkward and cramped. There is music strangely blaring into the room from the main area, instead of coming from within the suite, so that was odd. It was never explained beforehand how long this process would take, so it was awkward having to wait around 20 minutes and another 20 minutes in a place that had no magazines, tv, distractions, nothing. Mona barely smiled and didn't really make much conversation. I had come in with leg pain and she didn't seem to care at all about that. She kept bringing up a part of my hair I am embarrassed about. Another salon screwed up a section of my hair. I am used to stylists asking about it. But she constantly kept bringing it up, and it embarrassed me in front of her other client who by the way, showed up out of the blue. She had made an appointment and Mona apparently just forgot all about it. It seemed quite unprofessional. I explained that I can't afford a cut, but even after that she brought up my split ends. I can't afford fixing that so what's the point of even mentioning it? It just made me feel more self conscious Halfway through she asked if I want to make another booking. I found that a bit odd and hard sell. I made it clear I would let her know, but she asked again after I paid her. At this point I did not feel like giving a 20% tip. So I gave her far less than. I will never forget the disapproving look she gave when I gave her too small of a tip. There have been other times in my life I haven't been able to afford giving a "good" enough tip but never was I made to feel bad about it. I saved the extra 10 dollars I would have gladly given had I been happy, and I bought myself a much needed mocha. I felt I was the one who deserved a tip, after that experience. I will not be returning.

1-Star Review--zero star is not an option!…read more I purchased natural braiding wet and wavy hair from this establishment and was deeply disappointed by both the product quality and the customer service. The hair was advertised as double drawn, meaning the majority of strands should be the same length as indicated on the packaging. In reality, less than 25% of the hair met the stated length. As a result, my braider was unable to use it for the intended shoulder-length boho braids and could only incorporate it as loose curly hair for a boho style -- a significant compromise. When I returned to the merchant with the unused packages and relayed my braider's professional assessment of the quality, I was interrupted mid-explanation and verbally insulted. No refund or exchange was offered. What made this experience even more disheartening is that I had specifically mentioned during my original purchase that this business was recommended by another stylist and that I wanted to support a local establishment. That goodwill was not reciprocated. Instead, I was treated dismissively and disrespectfully throughout both interactions. Despite doing my due diligence as a consumer, I wasted time, money, and fuel. The substandard product and the unacceptable treatment I received are the reasons I cannot recommend or return to this business.

For the previous few years, I had been getting haircuts at a shop that was too far from home but I continued to make the trek because finding a new shop was a greater burden than occasionally driving an extra 20 minutes. Over that entire time my wife had never noticed my haircuts. however, as soon as she saw me After that first visit with Stefano, she commented a couple of times that it was a really good looking haircut. Well of course, vanity and convenience won out and I have been a loyal customer ever since. on that first day I was impressed by a large display of photos on the wall in front of the shampoo station. I've never seen anything quite like it. Instead of glamour photos of models with stylish haircuts from fashion magazines, It was a hundred or more cheerful photos. Not only of smiling mothers proud to show off their wonderfully quaffed hair. But also their equally well-groomed sons and daughters; Glad to share with Stefano the celebration of the landmarks of their lives. Birthdays, graduations and weddings - lots of weddings including brides in their dresses. Notably with their beautifully-styled hair. Truly a legacy of love.
