She reached out to me via DM and offered to help me with my hair-mergency. I previously went to a salon in Falls Church where my hair was cut unevenly(one side longer than the other/thinner than the other), severely thinned out at the bottom and given choppy "layers"(if you could even call them that. Initially I wasn't able to tell walking out of the salon due to the way the stylist had blew out my hair - it was only when I washed it for the first time that I noticed it. I was too embarrassed to even take photos of my hair and tried to hide it the best I could by curling it again for work. Julie did an amazing job saving what she could of my hair. She evened out the bottom as best as it could be (there is still some thinness/patchiness just due to the previous stylist) but I couldn't be more grateful for her time and work. If you're ever in need of a great service, I highly recommend seeing Julie and taking advantage of her 20+ years of knowledge/experience.

I made some risky hair decisions and had a bad encounter with another hair salon. This left me with extremely short, damaged by perm, bleached and improperly colored hair. In the past year, under the guidance of wonderful Lucia, I have smooth, healthy, much longer hair with the perfect shade of blonde like I have always wanted! Thank you!!! Let me tell you why I love this place: 1. Hair stylists like Lucia, provide genuine advice and take the time to get to know your requirements, explain the options and the consequences. 2. Beautiful, quality results balanced and guided while keeping your hair healthy and reducing damage. They did a fantastic job with my hair! 3. The product is amazing. Every salon will try to sell you their stuff so I have stopped buying all together as I felt like the hair stylists just pushed whatever product the salon has a contract with. Here, I was never pushed to get anything I did not need. There were several times where I was given advice against getting something unnecessary. Yet the Surface line of products is amazing. Completely natural which has never worked for me before. Here I have purchased a variety of products for myself and now for gifts and I have not been disappointed with anything I ever bought with one exception. When the styling cream I purchased did not work out the way I wanted, I received a full refund even though I used it. 4. The owners and team! Thank you Irving and Lauren! I booked an appointment with Julie at PR at partners with a million pictures in hand to give her an idea of what I wanted (OK, more like 7, but I probably looked at about a million online). I really wanted to go for a light ash brown balayage. I had a bad experience at an unnamed salon in Ashburn months before so I was legitimately nervous. Julie greeted me with a friendly smile and showed me the way to her chair. I sat down and gave her all of the details about what I wanted (perhaps too much detail but I didn't want to risk anything this time around). She was confident, friendly, really listened to what I wanted and even calmed my nerves. She was so patient with my hair, especially since she had to lift the color since I had dyed it back to a dark brown after my previous experience at the other salon 5 months before. The outcome that she had left me with was magical (check out the attached picture!). I was so amazed at the hard work she had put in, and was thrilled that she was able to do it! She made my hair beautiful and got me what I had asked for. I was so happy with the outcome. I would definitely recommend Julie to all of my friends! I have my roots colored, highlights, and haircuts done by the owner, Liz, and she always does an amazing job. I'm someone who is constantly looking to change up my hair, and I'm notorious for coming in with a ton of pictures and new ideas. Somehow, Liz always finds a way to give me the look I'm going for, even with my thick, wavy hair! She listens to what I want, offers great advice, and somehow manages to turn my sometimes questionable ideas into hair I absolutely love. The entire team at Rooted Mane is talented, professional, and welcoming, and all of the stylists do great work. You can tell they genuinely care about their clients and take pride in what they do. Elissa was able to do a bunch of highlights and lowlights to give me that transition from my full dye to natural color to keep the color I loved, while helping me be able to wait longer in between appointments. The salon is super cute and boujee, the whole aesthetic is very high end. I love how the stylists help each other out and are all so friendly.
