Talk about disappointment. I ordered a burrito bowl with piernita asada (roast pork). When I ordered, it asked what side I wanted. Chips were free, so I clicked on that. What I got was fatty meat, tasteless beans and, for some reason, some pineapple in there. Plus, no chips. When I called I was told that the dish does not come with chips. I pointed out what it had on the website and she said it didn't matter because it just didn't come with chips. My husband ordered something called a burrita and basically got a small tortilla with a little beef and some cheese. Take a look at the photo. They charged $15 for that piece of misery. Not sure how this place can be tagged as $ since it seems pretty pricey for the food quality. Chilaquiles were $15 but I tasted better ones for lower price in other Mexican Restaurants nearby. Juice was $8 for normal size cup but it tasted fresh, as good as you would get in trendy Juice Bars, so I was fine that. I would probably order again from here but not as my 1st choice read more

Spent this Taco Tuesday trying out Torta Lokas in Passaic, NJ. We tried their Birria tacos and their HUGE ham and cheese Torta. Other items we tried were churros and a Pineapple Agua de Sabor. While the food was decent, we want to note that on their website it mentions 4 Birria tacos, but we only received 3. Something to keep in mind. This was stop number 2. I'll keep it pretty short and sweet. We got 3 tacos (enchilada, carnitas, al pastor) and a torta milanesa de res (breaded steak). The carnitas was the saving grace. The tacos need the salsas to ramp up the flavors. The torta was HUGE! the individual elements inside were all pretty good, but the bread to everything ratio was off (bread wins the battle). Restaurant is very cute! We ordered lunch for the office, that location didn't deliver to our location so we picked it up. They were very fast for our large order. Parking can be an issue since it's on the street. Good food I'm sure we will be ordering again soon! read more

Spicy pork taco was good. I reckon that the tacos are probably the go-to, not the QUESABIRRIA or nachos. Both were not worth buying at all. QUESABIRRIA had no cheese. It wasn't even a quesadilla birria. It was just a hard orange shelled taco with beef in it with consume on the side. The nachos looked like a halal platter with sauce all over cubed pieces of chicken over chips. For the way it tasted I prefer it over rice and not chips. Either way, I don't look forward to eating it as a leftover. read more

Wow so happy with this restaurant! So basically my friend had a bday party and hired them to make tacos and they set themselves up on her driveway with a little orange tent. As soon as I arrived and parked, I got out my car and they definitely had the WHOLE street craving delicious, mouth watery tacos! The workers were very nice and generous. They answered all our questions regarding the different meats and decorated our tacos beautifully. I definitely recommend their chorizo, al pastor, and carnitas... actually they were all so good, so try them all! I was definitely blown away by their flavorful horchata, I actually want some now! The food is sooo big and priced well. I got a torta and nachos and they were packed with flavor, topping and cheese. I would say that it is so big that you would need a friend to help you finish because it's bigger than my hand. My hands are big because I'm 6'2. read more

Went in with my partner exactly at 9pm knowing that they did not close for another hour and as soon as we entered we noticed that the two employees in the front of the store were not happy about us coming in. One of the employees said "tell them that they can for take out" as if we didn't understand, and then decided to grab the menus from her and tell us himself. My partner and I looked at each other a bit confused and he then said "noo it's fine, just have a seat and gave us the menus" with an attitude. We did not feel comfortable eating any food after that experience so we just ordered some drinks to go and told him that we no longer wanted to dine in. He told us again not to worry and that it was fine for us to order but it was just not a pleasant customer service experience. People who were sitting down were just starting on their meals and I could see that the cooks were still cooking since the kitchen is open behind the cashier but oh well, no Tortas Lokas Passaic for me. read more

I am not a big Mexican food critic in fact most of the tacos I have ever had were Taco Bell or just made at home using the taco kit. The regular topping are lettuce tomato and shredded cheese. These tacos however are authentic Mexican style the beef is chopped (not ground beef) sliced steak on a soft corn tortilla. The toppings are cilantro and chopped onions. They are served with cucumber and sliced radishes. They have 2 kinds of sauces both pretty hot 1 is a green chili sauce the other a red sauce. Both are very tasty and I totally loved the flavor and freshness of the ingredients. The restaurant was small but very well kept and very clean. Downtown Passaic is very busy so finding a parking spot is a challenge but it is very well worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant. By the way a taco is a dollar and it quite small so you may want to start with 2 or 3. read more

I had a torta which is a Mexican sandwich. It was delicious! The sandwich is was huge! I also ordered a large fresh squeezed OJ and boy they weren't kidding when they said it was large. The food was tasty and you get a lot for your money. It was all authentic. read more

I ordered here for the 1st time tonight. I ordered at 8:30pm it is now 10:30 pm and I am still waiting on my delivery. Also bear in mind they close at 10pm. We called this restaurant more then 3x starting at 9:30pm to see what time the delivery would be. We are literally 10 minutes away from this restaurant I should've just asked for pickup but already paid delivery and a nice tip and everytime we called was promised they were on their way. I was a huge Tortas lover of el aguila in Passaic, they then closed down and I was doomed! I then came across this place and I have to say I had the beef torta and it is hands down thee best!!!!
