The La Cubana was awesome and huge. If it weren't so delicious, I'd call it shareable.

El Burrito Loco (approximately 1500 NW 86th St, Clive, IA 50325...just South of Jimmy John's on the…read moreWest side of the road). First time visit at this truck. Won't be my last. The ladies working the window were wonderfully delightful. So polite and smiles that just make your day a little brighter... The parking area around the truck is gravel, but spacious and with two entrances/exits off the road. They are a cash only truck. I ordered the Chori Pollo Burrito and a Pastor Torta, The total for the two items was $16 before tip. They present you with a beeper so you can wait for your order in your car. You can do that... But if you like the smell of seasoned cooking meat and vegetables you'll want to just stand there and enjoy a little fresh air and let your olfactory senses take you on a journey. After a bout with Covid I enjoy the taste and smell of food just a little bit more right now anyway. I was the only customer there when I arrived and it was a short wait. Bang for your buck... This is not a truck where you feel like you've overspent and walk away still hungry. You know those fat little babies...? When they're pudging up and look like they can only roll from one place to another? This burrito reminded me of the knee to the hip on one of those little roly poly rug rats. You know what I'm saying... Right? The torta was a little lighter in heft, but just as big. Each item filled its to go container, was accompanied with grilled onions and a roasted pepper, and two different hot sauces. The verde sauce was my favorite of the two. The meat and vegetables were cooked perfectly. The meats were seasoned nicely. Everything was fresh and tender. The roll the torta came on was soft, but the outside surface still had a little crunch to it. The creaminess of fresh avocado and cheese in the torta really hit the mark. I love my local Clive businesses and I wish I'd stopped in here sooner. Good people and good food. https://www.facebook.com/elburritoloco1406/

Food: Desayuno Especial- 3/5 eggs and steak were quite bland and steak was very tough BUT if you eat a little bit of each item in this dish with their Honduran Crema and pico, it's delicious. That crema is amazing! Baleadas- 4/5 it was really good and huge. Tortillas definitely was homemade and delicious Pupusa- 4/5 loved this! Just wish I had more salsa and salad with it Taco Flautas- 4/5 Giant portions and everything was delicious, just wish the salsa was on side so that they didn't get soggy if you didn't eat right away All in all, would definitely come back to try the other items!

I've passed this trailer for the last few months and have wanted to stop. Tried to research it a little and it appears to be combination of Honduran and Mexican items. I think the name roughly translates to Lili the/a woman fron Honduras. There's a cow bell sitting on the counter. Ring for service. I think it's just a one person gig. There might have been someone behind the scenes I couldn't see. Prices are really fair. $2.67 for a taco. I ordered three beef tacos and three chicken flautas. My total was $21. I gave her $25 and said the rest was for her. My math isn't entirely mathing good today, but I got home and there were four steak tacos and a HUGE order of flautas for $21. To me the prices seemed really decent! The food was ready after a 10 min wait or so. There are a few picnic style tables and benches if you don't want to take it to go. I know they take cash. I didn't ask about cards (my bad). My best guess is they do and you can preorder by calling 5159885041. The tacos were pretty standard. Pickled onion v. raw. The meat was tender. They were very good! The flautas were topped like what I'm used to with a papusa. Finely shredded cabbage, pickled onion, etc. These rocked! The young lady working the window (and cooking too I think) did a really good job! We're lucky to have three trailers within a few blocks right along 86th. Each with a menu that differs quite a bit from the others...with some overlap. Don't be afraid to pull in and wind your way through to visit Lili La Catrachita. It's worth checking out!

My boyfriend bought the 14-hour braised steak (rich peppercorn reduction & balsamic infused caramelized onions). We both wanted to try it so we split it in half and the half portion was plenty filling for each of us AND it was absolutely delicious! When I found out it was a local brand I had to go to Hyvee to try the other flavors. So far the other flavor I've tried is the Chicken Sun dried & cherry tomatoes in a basil béchamel. It was so good! I started with a half portion but it was so good I ate the other in the same sitting. That was a mistake on my part because I was too full eating the whole thing! The pie may seem small but it is plenty filling for two meals. The nutrition facts on the back are based on a half serving and at half size the caloric intake is over 400 calories. But it's to be expected because these things are so good! I can't wait to try the other different flavors I bought of PIE MATES from Hyvee.

I have no issues ordering through a window in a parking lot. This trucks sits kind of behind the Midas on 86th St in Clive. It's technically on Harbach, but you have to make a jog on 86th St or off of Swanson to get to it. There's street parking on the South side of the Harbach or there's a couple of nearby lots you can slide into if they're not too busy. We stopped into Capo's about 500 PM this past Saturday. Service was standard for a truck. The wait was about 10 min for my food. They take both cash and cards. I really enjoyed the seating area they had set up. The canopy provided some shade and I could get in some phone time in while I waited... The ISU v. UI game was on. Now I'm not an expert on papusas, but my order from here was nothing like I've had in the past. My daughter and I found these to be very thick and dense with not a lot of filling. Nothing like La Cuscatleca South, the ones you get at the downtown Farmer's Market, or even at the nearby Lara's Bakery & Market who also prepare and sell hot foods. Definitely not our favorite... Maybe it was an off day, or maybe there are different syyles like there are for pancakes and biscuits? I've seen a couple of reviews on Facebook where people are really bragging up this truck. With them being parked six blocks from where I live I genuinely wanted to like them and I'm willing to given them another try. Next time I'll probably try the tacos and/or a torta and see how those pan out. Maybe I'll be able to update my review and bump it above three stars. But you know what they say about first impressions... https://www.facebook.com/capostacosdsm
