Three quesabirria tacos and a chicken torta. The red sauce.... Fire!!! The green...mild and flavorful. Total was $17 and change. They take cards and my total wait was six minutes. The gentlemen working the truck were personable and it was great to be able to spend a few minutes visiting with them . The orders came with both sauces, roasted onions, and roasted peppers on the side. The quesabirria tacos are slow roasted beef and cheese on a corn tortilla then dipped or dredged in the birria broth. So good!

I wasn't sure if they took cards or not...and I haven't made it to an ATM lately so I've hesitated to stop by. But tonight was the night...! It was a brisk night, it had been windy, and was spitting snow earlier. After a quick trip (Kwik Star actually) to an ATM I whipped into the parking lot and headed to the window. I was greeted right away as I walked up. They do take cards. There was a payanywhere station on the counter. The menu is posted on the truck along with their prices. I ordered three quesa birria tacos and a barbacoa torta. Paid and tipped. They handed me a pager so I could wait for the food where it was a little warmer. That was much appreciated. It was a really short wait...I didn't even get halfway through the YouTube video I'd queued up. Lol Staff was friendly and the food was packaged well. After the short drive home I unpacked my food on the coffee table. The smell in the car was almost unbearable... It's a wonder I made it home before breaking into it. The food was fresh and hot. It came with the expected things on the side. A red hot sauce, onions, peppers, and limes. The beef in both the birria and barbacoa tasted great. The tacos were also topped with onions and cilantro. The torta with onions, cilantro, and avocado. I really enjoyed the roll the torta came on. A little hard and crunchy on the outside to hold things together and soft on the inside. It would almost be perfect for a proper cheesesteak...if you know you know. Unlike some other trucks these guys don't skimp on the meat. It could be dangerous having a truck with birria this close to home. Something the other two trucks nearby lack... With all transparency they're not my absolute favorite quesa birria tacos... They don't serve the side of consume for dipping. But they are good! And I don't need to burn through the gas to drive over to Flame or track down Nina's or Taqueria Marissa. I'm glad I stopped. I think the name roughly translates to Lili the/a woman fron Honduras. There's a cow bell sitting on the counter. Ring for service. I think it's just a one person gig. There might have been someone behind the scenes I couldn't see. Prices are really fair. $2.67 for a taco. I ordered three beef tacos and three chicken flautas. My total was $21. I gave her $25 and said the rest was for her. My math isn't entirely mathing good today, but I got home and there were four steak tacos and a HUGE order of flautas for $21. To me the prices seemed really decent! The food was ready after a 10 min wait or so. There are a few picnic style tables and benches if you don't want to take it to go. I know they take cash. I didn't ask about cards (my bad). My best guess is they do and you can preorder by calling 5159885041. The tacos were pretty standard. Pickled onion v. raw. The meat was tender. They were very good! The flautas were topped like what I'm used to with a papusa. Finely shredded cabbage, pickled onion, etc. These rocked! The young lady working the window (and cooking too I think) did a really good job! We're lucky to have three trailers within a few blocks right along 86th. Each with a menu that differs quite a bit from the others...with some overlap. Don't be afraid to pull in and wind your way through to visit Lili La Catrachita. It's worth checking out!

We were looking for a quick meal for lunch before our busy day and waited until 11:15 and still no one was around. We opted to move on to another food truck down the street (Taquería Leal) because of our tight schedule and the fact no one was there nor the grill started; we didn't want to wait. I'd advise not planning on an early or quick lunch here. Who knows when they actually open. I was disappointed as we had seen a review recently on the pastor burrito and really wanted to try it.

Everything on the menu is tempting, but the one thing on their Facebook page that screamed out to me... " You have to try this!" Was their quesa taco... I couldn't exactly see in the truck, but how I imagine these are prepared is... A tortilla is placed down on the grill... Piled with cheese until it melts and overflows and the edges of the cheese start to crisp up on the cooking surface. Or maybe it starts cheese down, the tortilla is placed on top, and then it's turned? Then the meat, onion, and cilantro are piled on it. It's scooped up and placed in a serving container... I ordered one al pastor (marinated pork) quesa taco, two birria (slow cooked tender beef in a adobo style marinate) quesa tacos, a cup of consume, and a bottle of Coke. $13 before tip. Service at the truck was very good at ordering, during payment, and pick up. I've often wondered why I didn't see any videos, or pictures, of someone eating their item after dipping it into the consume. Well... The area of my goatee between my lower lip and chin now has the same color tint as a certain prominent leader... While the taste was phenomenal it's not a good look on me. The truck has an area with tables and chairs under a canopy off to the side. To properly enjoy the consume you don't want to be in your car. Forego the AC and sweat it out if you have a long commute. Anyone know a good detailer? Just kidding. All possible major catastrophes were avoided today. Aside from being a messy endeavor everything was cooked perfect. I can find no fault with my quesa tacos or visit in general. I'd definitely order these again. The one thing I might change... On the menu board I'd erase "(birria broth)" beside consume and replace it with "(nectar of the gods)". It's that good. As the quesa tacos appeared to already have enough consume from the meat, and I was making a mess, I used it sparingly from the cup with my meal. To get a good feel for it I grabbed a piece of white sandwich bread when I got home and ate it while dipping into the consume. Concentrated beef flavor, an enjoyable seasoning, a little grease/fat added to the richness, cilantro floated on the surface. I don't know what goodness lies beneath, but what I have left sure won't go to waste...and I'll find out. Might be dipping some grilled cheese sandwiches into it later tonight... Pastor tacos are usually pretty greasy, but this one felt greasier than what is typical. The corn was yummy and came with all the toppings. I got the corn with the spice on it and it was a perfect amount of heat. One thing I really liked about this truck was that you can pay with cash or card and they have a loyalty program.
