He picked out seven shirts. The sales associate would not allow my husband to then try the shirts on. There was no other customer in the store, and there were three sales associates present. He indicated that it was store policy. However, when I called the Short Hills store where we usually shop, the sales associate stated that we could try any shirt that we wished. When I relayed this information, the associate just shrugged. Needless to say, we walked out without purchasing anything. This exchange and inconvenience put us off. After many attempts, we contacted customer service to ask for an explanation as to why this store was willing to have a loyal customer walk out dissatisfied.
