Love this store... As they love and embrace us with styles that I absolutely love. This Windward Mall location is located on the second floor and since I was looking for a specific item the staff here is just fabulous as I did find something but asked if there was anything similar for me to compare with. There are a couple other locations Pearlridge and Kapolei but I came to here as I had other errands to do in Kaneohe and had some Torrid cash to use which is useable with $50 purchase though mine was $49.50 and feels like it's done on purpose (just kidding) but is so frustrating is my only complaint as I felt like was forced to purchase another unneeded item just for the deal. Regardless it's a deal and found what I needed but hope that I will use the forced item and not for it to be wasted as I hate to do so and am trying to downsize and purge items that doesn't go with my vibe. A store for Real People... I haven't been size 6 since high school. Let's face it: I enjoy my food and it shows. However, I want my clothes to be comfortable and stylish. That's where Torrid comes in... There are currently 2 other locations on Oahu: Pearlridge and Kapolei. The Grand Opening for this Kaneohe location on the upper level of Windward Mall is on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 10am. Yay! I first learned about this store when I was on the mainland. I saw a really cute Hello Kitty t-shirt and it fit! When I look at t-shirts at other stores, the large sizes are still too tight and I want to allow for the material to shrink upon washing and drying. I think that this shop will do well in Hawaii because we are "normal" sized. Also available are shoes, accessories, jewelry, and purses. I miss the old manager Carissa. She was kind and never so rude. She respected if someone said they were not ready to deal with an associate -- the current manager Deysha is HORRIBLE and really really disrespectful!! I walked in and when I was greeted from Across the store she began approaching and asked if I needed help, I said no- she asked again and I said I have an online order to pick up but I am not ready to deal with that and I'd like to take a look around first. She wanted to continue to try and ask me to deal with the online order and I said no again, and I'd deal with it in a minute - I'd like to look around first. When I approached the register to ask if an item was available she was rude again. When I was ready to pay she asked if I had a problem and what my attitude problem was about. The Audacity!! I said I don't think I owe an explanation to her but I said "there's nothing wrong with me stating I was not ready to deal with my order and that I didn't need help".... She went on and on at me as if I was her child about my attitude. I said she's confronting me and her violent outburst regarding me not wanting help at the moment was uncalled for. Again she continued on and on..... to the point I was frustrated and annoyed. When I asked her name she said Deysha and she's the store manager and go do what I feel like I need to. Clearly she doesn't like her job and doesn't realize dummies like me who buy overpriced ripped denim and shirts pay her salary. read more

I LOVE TORRID I was looking for plus size Womens clothing store other then Walmart which by the way doesn't have the lastest fashion or Rosses which is to highly price or polyester, Anyway my daughter ended telling me about Torrid so googled & saw you had a Website from that day forward which was literally this past Friday 03/11/2022 & my first time time to Torrid & Fell in love with the women clothing store It reminded me of a store like Torrid that I had growing up in high school called: Hartfields Plus it was just like Torrid. I love the jeans here and have good experience with the employees. But the last time I went I spent 100 dollars on the bombshell jeans that are specifically made for my body type. The first pair I bought lasted 2 almost 3 months I ended up losing some weight in my lower tummy and it got awkwardly loose on my waist. So i went to buy a new one one size down. I'm jus disappointed that I gotta spend 100 dollars for jeans that fit me till I lose a couple pounds and gotta get a new one. But it's ok cus I'm losing some weight. read more

I'm not a Jeans Wearhouse kinda girl and us big girls know Ross and the Wearhouse are the only affordable places for our sizes on island. If not it's online for us or dropping a pretty coin at Macy's and other stores with that type of price range which are VERY limited in style. That being said Torrids prices are the same as Macy's. However, the sales area was very reasonable. The items there varied from 11 to 20 ish dollars. Still I don't mind buying regular price. I'm happy to pay more for quality that last longer then the first wash and that half the island is not wearing. I'm top heavy and was pleased with the sizes and styles offered. The service was excellent! I read the review below. I'm so happy I didn't have those employees. The ones that helped me were pleasant, helpful and had no problem with me trying tons of clothes on and putting it back for me when I didn't like it. They even exchanged sizes for me and suggested things. I appreciated the HONEST opinion on how things looked on me also. It was nice to be treated like I was valuable. I would give an even lesser review if yelp allowed us to. A group of friends and myself had decided to go in for the first time and we were astounded at how cute the items were. We began to try stuff on and peruse the store. One of the associates was extremely kind to us, making small talk and periodically offering assistance. Her other coworker *eventually* asked us if we needed sizes for anything and when we said "no" since we were still browsing, she then promptly asked us to leave because we cannot be "hanging out in the store, there are seats outside to do so." It was extremely rude and we were taken aback by her attitude, especially since we all really liked what the store had to offer us. I am unsure if it was our appearance, perhaps she thought we were young highschoolers taking up space when in reality we are near college grads looking for casual business wear for a conference trip we would be taking in a few months. It was a very sad exchange and really epitomizes what not to do as a customer service rep- chase potential customers from the store. Lose the attitude, lady. And if you were the manager for this evening, then shame on you for lacking the basic necessities required as a store manager. To boot, we were the only customers in the store at the time. We werent shoving clothes around, we had been putting items being in a cleanly manner and reorganizing items into their correct areas. Torrid was at the top of stores to return to and that exchange alone solidified a reason not to return and to make a formal complaint for the way we were treated. I go shopping at the store at least once a month and everybody is very helpful and amazing today when I went in there was this lady according to the worker she's the district manager and her name is Deb Johnson who is yelling at all of the workers making a scene making the workers cry in front of customers being very unprofessional I know it's Halloween but she was acting like a whitch. I don't think I want to support a company that has a district manager that acts like her that is very embarrassing and I'm afraid to even go in the store with her around, that was uncalled for and I feel very bad for those workers very very very unprofessional and I'm very disappointed in Torrid to have a district manager such as she read more

I've been coming to this location for a while now and have always been very impressed by the fabulous customer service! I never feel rushed or awkward shopping here, even when I've stayed til closing time. The two ladies who helped me out this evening went out of their way to help me find deals and save money on the items I wanted. The one who appears to be a manager has helped me several times before and has always been helpful with finding the best deals. The one who helped me in the fitting room was very nice and patient when helping me with my haute cash and trying on like 30 items (no exaggeration). I love this Torrid and the staff!
