To be honest, Torrid has always done the minimum for their clothing. But it fits so I don't care about it too much. I actually don't have a problem with the quality of the product from Torrid. My girlfriend loved this company and it's clothing. I have a problem with the quality of THIS location's customer service. My girlfriend went to check out and asked the clerk if a particular shirt was in stock. The clerk said no. While she was ringing up my girlfriend's stuff, my gf noticed the shirt was in fact in stock and on the rack next to the counter. My gf asked the clerk if she could try it on. While she was trying the shirt on, she overheard this clerk say to the other clerk she couldn't stand my girlfriend and didn't know how long she was going to be in the dressing room. This happened at 4:00 PM on 1-13-2020. Discretion...it goes along way. I get customers can be annoying. And I'm sorry you were in the middle of ringing her up already. But if you had known what you actually had in stock, my gf wouldn't have checked out yet. We all have our bad days, but these ladies could use a lesson in customer service 101. read more

Everything fits! No more shopping excursions leaving you empty handed. Care for them how the tag says though! I find that most of their clothes need to be hung dried they sometimes are prone to shrinking. But, worth it! If you got wide feet ladies, this is your stop. I'll never step foot back in this store even the damn manager is nasty you ask me to come to exchange my stuff then gone have a nasty rude attitude with me for no reason I did nothing to just take your business else where all the Houston torrid stores have very rude staff an they talk over u walk off while you still talking this is not customer service an I'm not spending my money at business where the people is rude an nasty even the customer service on the phone is nasty this is just so wrong everyone need to be train or fired but never again will I step foot in another Torrid if you don't want to be there go home or quit don't makes someone else day because yours not is going well I just don't understand we were all dealing enough in the world an there's no need for nasty rude people every stuff I've been it's been a problem for no reason you can't even ask a simple question or they quick to say I don't know just call customer so what are you there for if you don't know how to help the customer I just get don't it this company need to do better before I step foot back here until then I keep it moving read more

I love Torrids! I have a hard time finding clothes that actually fits! I am plus size and very short (5'2) their clothes fits me! Yay! Of course certain cuts and styles are not for me, but for the most part I always walk out satisfied! They carry not only clothing, but shoes, accessories and intimates! The staff is always friendly! I absolutely love this store.. The only draw back of course it that it can be pricey, but in the end, you get what you pay for! I have returned items here without a receipt, and have never had a problem! So, I would highly recommend this store to all the curvy girls out there read more

I HEART TORRID! This was the largest Torrid I've ever been to. The ladies helped me find exactly what I needed to complete an outfit for a Yelp event. The store and fitting rooms are very clean. Okay so I'm surprised not to see a review for this store. Let me start by saying the staff is always friendly, helpful and offer perfect service (not toooo in your face but they make you feel welcome). I love finding clothes that are plus sized and not fit for a grandmother. I am not really a big fan of a lot of their styles as they are a bit out there (hot pink and animal prints aren't my thing). They do have some more toned down items which is nice. I tend to prefer shopping online but I can't do that often with Torrid. The reason being that their sizes seem a bit off. I vary between about 3 sizes in pants and I understand there are different fits but that seems extreme. Also I do not see why a store for plus sized girls sells so many skinny jeans. They just aren't flattering on some of us. It is a struggle for me to find non-skinny pants at this location. The clothes are a bit pricey so I refuse to buy full price. That being said, this week marks the third time I have bought pants from them only to notice holes in the crotch shortly after having removed the tags. The first time I was out shopping and came home to realize a huge (at least 3 inches worth) portion of the seam inside the crotch area was pulled apart....and YES they were the proper size and not skin tight lol. Those were cheap enough that I just tossed them. The second time I brought them back in and was surprised that they let me exchange them. The third time (this past week) I bought a pair on sale ($35ish vs $58). I didn't realize the small hole until getting home from work but I did notice a coworker glanced in that general direction and now I will forever wonder if they were mulling over how, or whether, to pull me aside. It was small enough that I just sewed it back together but I will never be comfortable wearing the pants and am sure I'll be making bihourly trips to the mirror to check on them. In addition, I keep buying these pants when the fabric isn't great. It does not wash well (ends up with white spots?) and they wear down really quickly. Also I hate hate hate those hook closures on their dress pants they are poor quality and either come apart too easily or just fall off eventually. One last thing...the pants have an odd shape. They are super big at the waist....almost like they are all made for somebody with a box type shape (you know how at Lane Bryant they do the box, triangle, and circle). They fall down all the time but the legs fit fine (maybe I'm just a weird shape lol). Anyhow it makes it even worse that they usually don't have belt loops! Other than the sizing, pricing, and quality issues, I keep going back because there are few other options and I like supporting a store that is at least trying to do something positive for plus sized women. I have been going in a lot lately because I just started a new job and need some business casual styles (pants, button downs, blouses). They've had some good sales lately but I just wish they offered more of those styles as I can't wear a lot of this stuff to work. I know that's not their style but just saying it would be nice! Anyway after this last trip I might have to go for the grandma styles elsewhere so I at least don't flash anybody at the office! read more
