The food and the service at Fork & Vine are absolutely outstanding. My wife and I both found the…read moreappetizer and entrees to be creative and delicious: The tomatoes in the caprese appetizer seemed to be fresh-picked at peak ripeness from a nearby garden, the scallops were some of the best I have had and the cheesecake was generous and creamy. But the surprise that really made our visit special was the advice and interaction of the sommelier, Cisco! As a wine educator, I rarely encounter restaurant wine stewards who have extensive knowledge AND spend the time with the table to ensure the right pairings are chosen. Cisco nailed it! Finally, the service was perfect - our waitress was professional, very friendly and was always there when needed yet was never obtrusive. Fork & Vines is a real gem and we will be back every time we visit Corpus Christi.

We got the calamari and fried mozarella caprese from the happy hour menu. I didn't get to try the fried moz caprese, but the calamari was good. It was just slightly overcooked but otherwise had good flavor and the aioli was a good pairing. My fettuccine was a little bland but the shrimp was heavily seasoned and added to the dish. The short rib ravioli was tender and flavorful. Our server was knowledgable and helpful! He was super nice and provided great service.

He is usually a pretty good judge of restaurants, so I trusted his recommendation. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake. Our server, A.K.--whom my dad has affectionately called "A.K. 47" for years--was wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and did an excellent job. If you decide to visit, I would highly recommend asking to sit in her section. I ordered the oyster and shrimp plate, and unfortunately, it was disappointing. The shrimp were acceptable, although I have certainly had better. The oysters, however, were gritty with dirt and did not appear to have been properly cleaned before being fried. Both the shrimp and oysters were coated in a flour-and-cornmeal batter. It was fine, but nothing memorable. The coleslaw had absolutely no flavor, and I'm honestly not sure why they bothered serving it. I wish I had taken a picture of the plate because the presentation was just as unimpressive as the meal. That said, I was not expecting anything fancy, so perhaps I should not have expected much more. The atmosphere was typical for this type of restaurant--casual, basic, and nothing fancy. It appeared clean enough and was generally what you would expect from a place like this. Overall, the excellent service from A.K. was the highlight of the visit, but the food was not good enough for me to return.

The waitress arrived and took my order, their margaritas are large and strong. They give you complimentary chips and fish ceviche with salsas, which were excellent. The green salsa had quite a kick. I then went with the Fried Red Snapper, which came with fries, rice, and a salad. It was very tasty and fresh. The service was very good, the waitress stopped by often and was very friendly. The prices were outstanding. Overall, a great place for seafood.

The place on the outside is nothing to talk about. It gets packed good luck finding a spot. The place is so small it's ridiculous cramped inside. The food is ok, Bucaneros in San Antonio is way better. My fish chicharrón was bland and they give thousand island dressing for it? It's chicharrón style every other place I have gone gives you guacamole, I had to order it seperately. My cocktail Vuelve ala Vida (The sauce was a watered down unflavored mess) the Shrimp were really fresh, but the cocktail sauce was horrible. The kiddos had Alfredo shrimp pasta they said it was good, the wife said her dish was OK some pulpo fish ala diabla. The small appetizer tostadas with 2 tiny salsas is meh, but the ceviche was tasteless. (If you can find a Peruvian restaurant order ceviche there) you eyes and mouth will be opened. Service was fast, and personally, they do this to move people out quick, because it's a very small place, and the quality of food suffers. For me it's a SOLID 3
