But the wonderful views made time pass by effortless.

My wife and I went to Fork & Vines for our anniversary this past Friday, and from beginning to end,…read morethe experience was excellent. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and has a great atmosphere. Service was top notch throughout the night. We started with the mussels, which were delicious and perfectly cooked. My only request would be more bread because that sauce was way too good to leave behind. The cocktails were great as well, and my wine glass was always kept filled without ever having to ask. We both ended up ordering the short rib, and it was excellent. My wife usually has leftovers after our date nights that eventually find their way to our son, but not this time. Both plates left the table completely empty. We finished with the Banana Bread Foster, which was also excellent. I'm not much of a dessert person, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. My only criticism would be how close together some of the tables are. It can leave you wishing for a little more space and privacy when you're trying to have a conversation, especially on a date night. Outside of that, we had an excellent anniversary dinner. Great food, great drinks, and top-notch service. We'll definitely be back.

We got the calamari and fried mozarella caprese from the happy hour menu. I didn't get to try the fried moz caprese, but the calamari was good. It was just slightly overcooked but otherwise had good flavor and the aioli was a good pairing. My fettuccine was a little bland but the shrimp was heavily seasoned and added to the dish. The short rib ravioli was tender and flavorful. Our server was knowledgable and helpful! He was super nice and provided great service.

You can tell that the chef(s) pour their heart into eat dish prepared. My mother in law and I both ordered salads and my wife ordered the snapper tacos and we all ate every single bite! The ambiance is great for a casual family meal and there is also a bar area as well. My only suggestion is for the restaurant to please oh please put a bit into upgrading the bathrooms. It really is a disservice to the customers and experience when some of the stalls don't close and the toilets are literally falling apart and closed with plastic instead of the normal parts they should be. However, we will be back and recommend it to others for a great casual meal with excellent food, good service and reasonable prices!

He is usually a pretty good judge of restaurants, so I trusted his recommendation. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake. Our server, A.K.--whom my dad has affectionately called "A.K. 47" for years--was wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and did an excellent job. If you decide to visit, I would highly recommend asking to sit in her section. I ordered the oyster and shrimp plate, and unfortunately, it was disappointing. The shrimp were acceptable, although I have certainly had better. The oysters, however, were gritty with dirt and did not appear to have been properly cleaned before being fried. Both the shrimp and oysters were coated in a flour-and-cornmeal batter. It was fine, but nothing memorable. The coleslaw had absolutely no flavor, and I'm honestly not sure why they bothered serving it. I wish I had taken a picture of the plate because the presentation was just as unimpressive as the meal. That said, I was not expecting anything fancy, so perhaps I should not have expected much more. The atmosphere was typical for this type of restaurant--casual, basic, and nothing fancy. It appeared clean enough and was generally what you would expect from a place like this. Overall, the excellent service from A.K. was the highlight of the visit, but the food was not good enough for me to return.

They also seemed like they are doing a lot of to-go orders. We were seated and they brought out ceviche and fried tortia chips and crackers. It was delicious and had a little spice with a really nice fresh taste. The two salsa's were also very good, one was on the milder side and one was hot. My wife had the Camarones Zarandeados (Grilled shrimp with home sauce). It comes with several shrimp and rice. It is marked mild, my wife thought it was a bit spicy but loved it and eat it all. I had the Huachinago Al Gusto (Red Snapper natural) with Diabla sauce. It comes with rice, a piece of bread and a salad. The picture shows it with fries but I didn't get any. I was okay with that as it was very filling and delicious! A musician came in and played some music on his guitar and sang, that added to the entire experience. If I lived here I'd be visiting here a lot.
