Please do yourself a favor and do not go here. My mom went in to get her hair dyed and came out…read morewith severely damaged hair--literally burned off. The result was so bad it looked like a DIY disaster, not something she paid $300 for. Yes, $300 for what can only be described as a hair tragedy. The quality of the dye job was abysmal, and the service was just as bad. Any professional with an ounce of integrity would have been embarrassed to charge even a dollar for the mess they created. Instead, they took hundreds and ruined her hair. Update - 6/28/25: I've added two photos that show just how awful the color came out. When we raised concerns, Mary--the stylist--claimed that unless your hair is "virgin" (i.e., never dyed), there's no guarantee for good results. That's a ridiculous excuse for botched work. If your stylist can't work with previously dyed hair, they shouldn't be offering color services at all. If you value your hair, your money, or even just basic respect--go somewhere else.

I've been a patron of Kevin and Lily for over 20 years now and they always get my hair perfect…read more Kevin owned Salon Image on Avalon but sold his business during the pandemic and mainly works here at Salon 310. In the past I've done highlights, balayage, and overall color and they always pay special attention to all the details. I came in with hopes of blending my grey hair. After consulting with Kevin and Lily, they gave me an honest breakdown how long it would take, the maintenance, and expected cost based on my hair type, length, and texture. I have black medium length hair, it's thick coarse and semi wavy. After an hour of foiling and applying hair lightener, and an hour of processing, my hair turned out great. I felt so relaxed and loved the smell of the shampoo and conditioners they used on my hair while rinsing out the product. My grey blended hair dreams came true. My results came out better than I expected. If you're ever in Carson and need a cut or color, Salon 310 is the place to go. This salon is very clean and modern, and welcoming. Make sure to make an appointment because they often have several clients getting their hair done at the same time.
