Torres Auto Service - Auto Repair Near Me - Dallas, Texas

I don't recommend them, dishonest, greedy, and will not stand by their work, i used to bring all my cars and refer many people that way, sadly this last time they sold them selfs cheap! took my car for an alignment, always trusted them, when drove the car for few days noticed the steering wheel off slightly to the right, so I was there for another vehicle, i asked the lady about the steerimg and she said you can bring it snd will sort that with no issue, I went in today, and she wanted to charge me 60$ to fix their screw up! I was so disappointe, I valued this place but sadly they're all about money and no integrity! read more

10/5 Stars for Torres Auto Service! Came in the morning to get my battery terminals and cables switched and the mechanic got it done right away with quailing work! He was also able to get my AC fixed and explained everything in detail and consulted with me before proceeding to do work on my truck. Recommend to anyone looking for reliable work with great prices! Keep up the great work Torres!!! read more

Called around and couldn't find a shop to inspect my car same day near my home. Neighbor recommended this shop. Called when they opened on Saturday, had one in front of me and was done within 45 minutes. Professional, courteous just gave me the straight facts. In a perfect spot, next door to Norma's restaurant, a block away from a coffee shop, or while waiting just take a walk through the beautiful houses on Winnetka while you wait. Will definitely think of them when I need an oil change or some minor work done on my car. read more

I have had great service and courtesy here. i highly recommend this auto repair to everyone. They are also very reasonable and fair.

My new go-to! I've lived in Oak Cliff my whole life and have passed by this shop thousands of times but I first used them about a week ago. I bought a used car and needed an inspection before I could transfer the title. They got me in and out quick and also did an alignment for super cheap! I went again today with oil and a filter for an oil change and they got me done quick for $20. Don't go anywhere else. read more

Knowledge of what they say they have extensive knowledge of. If you say you have knowledge on installing suspension and then have to read an instruction manual before even taking off the tires then maybe you should not have this type of business. It started with just an alignment. Then went to excuses of why they couldn't do the alignment. Bushings were blown out and needed to be replaced. They wrote me a quote to replace 3 parts (over $1000 in parts and labor) I decided if they were going to replace just those parts then I should just order all parts. Then I showed up for them to just have excuses of why they couldn't do the job. They stated that they couldn't put the springs I bought on the car because it would camber my wheels out when the car is dropped. The problem was that the car was already dropped and the camber was already fine. Then they called me for the wheel lock key. That tells me that they didn't even take the time to look at the car. Instead they told me that they were just looking at the instructions. When I started to explain that I just wanted the complete promised job done, they just said come and pick up your car in 15 minutes. Once I got my car, I looked at the instructions. It stated for certain cars that it needed a camber plate. That was not the case with my car though. I also dropped off the car at 9:30am after calling to verify that they could do the work that day. They didn't start to even look at my car till 3:00pm and was going to charge me for a whole day of labor. As well as me having to pay for Uber prime time because of the time of day. Even when the Uber guy came to drop me off at the shop, he stated that he has had problems there and he has heard a lot of friends that have had issues also. I will never be returning to this shop and I don't think anyone else should either. read more

If I could rate a zero stars I would for the customer service alone. I came to have my alignment done and was charged $20 for a "check up" to tell me that my ball joints were bad. Not once did they mention I would be charged $20 if they were unable to do my alignment. read more

Expensive place. When I checked in in the morning, I was told that I would receive a call back within 5-10 min to give me an estimate. I had to call back after 25 min to check and it sounded as if they had forgotten. So I was told I would get a call back again, which I did. For a routine maintenance - oil / filter change and tire rotation it costs $157. I would rate this as 3.5/5 read more

Had my alternator replaced here. A few months later, the battery light comes on again, several times. So I take it back to Torres because they told me that their work was under warranty. Four hours later, they call to say that they ran a diagnostic and nothing was wrong with my car. When I returned to pick up my car, I was then told that I had to pay $25 to get my key back because they ran a diagnostic. But when I dropped the car off, no fee was ever mentioned, and no fee schedule was posted inside, either. I paid but made clear that I was never told that there would be any charge. In response, I was told "no work is free"--but they should have said before taking my car keys. As a repeat customer who somehow keeps having battery issues since first coming here, I feel ripped off. read more

Make sure you have everything in writing before handing keys over. Besides that good service

Came in for vehicle inspection and was immediately greeted and told it would take 10 minutes. Completed in possibly less than that time. Yay for supporting a local & small business! read more

Went in for a new battery and to have the battery cables replaced I was told to get there early and it would be ready same day. They were helpful and kept their word. It's a great place to have in The Bishop Arts District. read more

Was out in MA doing a tile job for a friend. At some point a break line broke on my truck. (FYI: it was Sunday) After calling different mobile mechanics for over an 1and 1/2 hours. I called Torres auto services. Instead of immediately getting an answering service. They actually answered the phone. After explaining my situation. I also had to be back in CT for work on Monday. Torres as promised showed up within and hour. Upon arrival immediately started working on my truck. I was on the road within an hour. Professional, friendly and no bullshit!! How often does that happen!! Don't waste time like I did. Call Torres first!!! read more

These local folks are fabulous! I visited for a state inspection and was in and out in 20 minutes. They are extremely nice, very welcoming, and helpful. This shop doesn't do engine work, but they can help with brakes, oil changes, alignments, and state inspections. I recommend for your basic car maintenance! read more

Took my truck in a few weeks ago. Had a ball join issue which was fixed nicely. These people are honest, and prompt. They even fixed another problem for me which Goodyear in cedar Hill had screwed up, and ripped me off on. I will bring my vehicles here from now on. read more

Was charged for parts and an appointment that I never received. Was promised a refund that I never got.

Excellent service and wonderful customer service. Dropped by this morning to get my car inspected after a horrible experience at the dealership and they had me in and out in about 30 minutes. I love oak cliff! Thank you Torres auto service !! read more

Dropped off a friend this morning at Pep Boys to pick her car up. Figured I'd get my state inspection done. How long could it take? 45 minutes. Heck no, who's got time for that! Drove down to Torres and I was in and out in 15 minutes! Plus I would much rather support small businesses in the neighborhood. read more

These guys charged me for work they didn't do. Good luck, they'll just talk you in circles if you bring the problem to their attention. Also, don't call me "boss man" I don't need to be patronized. Google what u don't understand. read more

I thought this place was a good place, but when I took my vehicle there they fix the issue but they cause another problem and try to charge me 5x time for a part that would 17 to 20 dollar. They should have alerted me if they broke something instead of not telling me the customer. I had my vehicle days before at Certerfied mechanic and there was no issue. So if anyone wants to get their vehicle repaired here please be knowledgeable about their vehicle. read more

Came in on a Monday afternoon to have a cracked tail light removed and replaced (brought in my own part), and an inspection. Very nice employees, and I was done in less than 30 minutes!!! The charge for putting in my tail light was very reasonable. Highly recommend and will return in the future. read more

This shop was fair and quick in their service. I thought this repair could take a long time to workout. In less than a day the repair was completed in about a half day at a fair price. read more

Fast and Friendly Got the cars inspected here. Super nice, no wait and they gave me some tips on expediting the registration process. They specialize in alignments and electrical and air conditioning as the main part of their business. Brakes too. They actually do a little bit of everything... A true OC kinda place :) Going to have them change the oil on the old car. Check them out! read more

The guys at Torres automotive are very nice to work with. They fit me in on a Saturday, which is crazy; gave me a discount on the diagnosis since they had to pass me on to an electrical mechanic; and referred me to a good electrical specialist. They have integrity. read more

Trusting this shop with my vehicle has consistently been the best experience I've had since I started driving 22 years ago. They have integrity, won't try to sell you on work that doesn't need to be done, and do a great job in quick time. I've had some major work done, and they have returned the vehicle ahead of time, sometimes for less than the costs we had estimated. Nobody can match the service relationship I've enjoyed with Torres. read more

Amazing service and hospitality. Walked in for a state inspection and was out in 20 minutes. Only one person in front of me (they were almost done with their inspection), so waited about 5 minutes tops before they started on mine. Every one was so nice and friendly. Great price. Highly recommend! read more

Great service! Friendly and fast. All I needed was an inspection but they fit me right in without an appointment.

Found this place on Yelp and saw all of the good reviews. I needed to get my car inspected and this place is less than a mile from where I live. The young lady that greeted me was so super sweet. I got there at around 11 am and was driving away in less than 20 minutes. My new go to place for my yearly state inspections. read more

We have used Torres Auto Service for a few of our vehicles over the years. Service is always guaranteed, and we have never had to return a vehicle a 2nd time. They get it right the first time every time. On my last repair job (fuel pump on a pickup) the final price was about $70 less than the quoted estimate. Dependable service from a shop you can trust to not take advantage of you. read more

I'm new to the area and needed to get inspection for car registration! I have to say they are super friendly and helpful! One of our cars wouldn't pass bc we needed a new gas cap. He explained what was going on, suggested what I could do, and made it so much easier than having to figure things out on my own. This will be my to-go to place for inspections! read more

Torres Auto Service is the best auto repair business I've ever been to. I was on my way out of town and I needed my car repaired that day. They were very busy, but because I was leaving out of town that day they were sure to fit me in. They were very reasonable and fair. One of the staff members even drove me home while my car was being repaired, and picked me up when they were done. They were fast, efficient and professional and most of all TRUSTWORTHY!! I can't say enough good things about this business. If you need car repairs this is the place to go FIRST! read more
