The budtender even said to me as I exited "this all in one will fit in the palm of your hand" I immediately drove back and informed them that I had asked for an all in one and they sold me a cart. The person who made the mistake immediately admitted the mistake. They start trying to sell me a battery, but I don't want a battery. He keeps pushing it and "I DONT WANT A BATTERY!" The second person assisting us starts right off with "sHe is GoInG to have to pay the Diiiference!!" "Wait what am I paying for? What are you giving me?" "You're getting what you WANTED" "I asked for an all in one. We discussed several options. What are you giving me?" Long story short they made me pay an additional $5 for THIER mistake and wasted my time. I get that mistakes happen, but the second person's attitude was not cool. This is not how you run a business. I would have apologized for the mistake and been like "the $5 is on us for wasting your time." But no. I get treated like I'm the one who made the error and am inconveniencing *them.* I've loved this spot for so many years and I drive out of my way to go there, but I think it's time for find a new split. Recommended to us by a Head Shop manager in Redondo Beach, it was the closest dispensary, 25 mins, from our stayca spot. Set back in a corner of a strip mall, Catalyst has quite a footprint. On the Friday we popped in, a brand they offer had an event in the Catalyst "event room". I guess it was for invited guests who partake of that particular brand because it wasn't just open to anyone. No prob for us, we were just popping in to check out Catalyst. Hubs made a purchase, got a first timers discount and was given a flyer for Customer Appreciation Day the next day! We returned the next day after lunch and Hubs was sure they would be out of House Shake since it was a sale day. He not only picked up what he wanted, but not ONCE did I hear a bud tender say, 'oh, actually, we're out of that,' which I seem to hear, pretty much every time, at other sales events. It starts to feel more like a closeout sale. Not at Catalyst! They seemed well stocked with quite a large selection and welcoming staff once again. Hubs found these ADORABLE mini (1/2 size?) joints he thought would be fun for a few hits. Nope, them bad babies were 2 puffs and "2BC". Strooong, he says. I'll have to take the ol' hippy's word for it, but he thought those were a real find on a customer appreciation day. Prices seem in line with others we've been to. The only trick can be the parking.
