Delicious and always consistent! As with other Torotea locations, I love the tapiochi topping and always enjoy to their tea-forward milk teas and their refreshing fruit teas. I personally really like their location-exclusive Koan-Im Tapioccino. The milk tea is blended with crushed ice and tapiochi pieces, and I love the texture of it! This drink doesn't allow for sweetness adjustments so it is on the sweeter side though. Since this location is inside a large plaza area there's plenty of parking even though the shop itself is pretty small.
This spot in Chino Hills is Torotea's 3rd location. In my opinion, Torotea is unique and way better than your average bubble tea shop. Instead of regular boba, they offer tapiochi (tapioca mochi) and tea jellies. I am a huge fan of both the brown sugar and black tea tapiochi, which has an exceptionally soft and chewy texture. For first timers, I highly recommend trying the Popcorn Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapiochi. It has a rich and creamy mouthfeel and tastes like toasty buttery popcorn. The drink is amazing! Another recommendation would be the Cassia Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapiochi. This tea is aromatic with a malty depth. Although there is some seating inside, this shop is quite small and seems more like a grab and go type of place. The minimalist aesthetic and dim lighting makes this shop feel warm and cozy. In addition, the staff are friendly and welcoming. It is also great that there is a huge, shared parking lot, so parking is never an issue.
Such a unique aesthetic for a tea spot (reminded me of a Himalayan salt lamp)! The drinks are kinda sweet but the service is so informative. They also specialize in tea jellies which were a really good addition and also flavorful! My fave drink was the mulberry one and I think I'd get it again if having the chance.
I've been visiting the Diamond Bar and San Marino location from time to time, now there's one in Chino Hills! It's a very spacious plaza shared with other stores. The store itself is kind of small just like the other Torotea locations. They're pretty consistent with their decor, earthy and minimalist. Except, this one is a lot more dim. The waiting area is kinda tight as usual lol. The employees here honestly all seemed checked out. Usually there is someone who hands out samples, but the person (assuming she was responsible for the samples) was kind of just waiting around and would offer samples only if you ask haha. So I guess compared to the other torotea locations, the team here isn't as pro-active? Honestly looks pretty rough, but as long as I get my boba, i'm all good loool. I go to try their Chino Hills exclusive drink which was the Koan-Im Tapioccino, which is a blended drink with tappioccino jelly. I got it half sugar, but first few sips, it's actually still sweet. But y'know, this tastes like a very nostalgic drink bc it tastes just like the grass jelly drink you get at the market!! I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing to compare to, but it was pretty nice. I dont think I would get it again tho lol. I would just stick to the Popcorn Milk Tea.
A new location to Chino Hills and definitely very happy about this. First impressions is that the interior is very much a artisan type vibe. Dimmed lights, and plenty of angled lighting made the vibe very chill overall. Torotea is one of the unique boba shops around, as they're known for their tapioca mochi jelly topping. It's certainly one of the most delicious jellies I've ever tasted. To the 20+ times I've been to Torotea in Diamond Bar, this location might be a new favorite of mine. I absolutely love their Popcorn MT and my wife loves their Cassia MT. Both are perfect even without adjustments, along with the tapiochi is even more delicious. Only complaint I ever have about Torotea is their cup size, could be a bit greedy but a large or a standard cup with their signature drinks would be more enticing for pictures and portion size. On top of this, my wife and I attended their grand opening and were quite impressed with their drinks. High quality and various signature drinks. We would love to visit more often if we resided a bit closer to Torotea. Staff here is friendly and quick, never had any complaints so far. Plenty of parking around in a large shared lot, lots of food around as well so this is perfect for a post meal treat.
I can say that this place is worth the hype. I love the interior design and the whole aesthetic of the place. Staff were kind and let us sample some of their oolong as well. We were lucky to come on a Saturday afternoon with little to no line! I doubt that that's a normal occurrence. Their popcorn milk tea is always a hit but I wanted something more fruity, light, and fresh so I settled with the mulberry oolong with osmanthus jelly. It was the perfect not-too-sweet and light drink that I was craving. The jelly was light and soft as well. They have so many drinks and creations available to meet your needs. Just prepare to spend $8 for a drink!
This shop feels a lot smaller than their other location but it has a nice dark ambience to it. It can get pretty busy here but we got lucky and came at an off time. The staff member was so friendly and helpful. I've been going to their original location but checked this one out and the drinks never disappoint. I love the variety of flavors and the jelly as well. Such a good tea shop!
I went to Toro Tea during their grand opening. I heard the line was really long earlier in the morning, so my friends and I decided to go later at night and luckily the line wasn't too bad. We went as a group and ordered quite a few drinks to try: Crème Brûlée Icemilk, Jasmine Oolong Milk Tea, Misty Oolong Milk Tea, Koan-Im Oolong Milk Tea, Dalgona Cloud Top Koan-Im Oolong Latte, and Mulberry Oolong. Toro Tea has quickly become one of my favorite boba spots. I normally don't drink a lot of boba because my sugar tolerance is pretty low, but their perfect sweet level is honestly just right for me. I also really like that they focus more on the tea itself rather than just loading drinks with toppings, because I'm personally more of a tea and flavor person than a toppings person. One of my favorite things to do when I go with friends is try everyone's drinks, and I have to say every single one we ordered was really good. None of them missed. Each drink tasted carefully handcrafted and well balanced. The people working at the front were super nice and welcoming. They offered and asked if I wanted to try a free sample, which was really refreshing, and they're also great at helping you decide what to order based on your preferences if you're unsure. I sometimes find myself craving this place and will probably keep coming back. I've already put a lot of my friends onto this spot and they all ended up loving it too. The ambiance inside is also very aesthetically pleasing. The shop is a bit small, but it feels cozy and comforting, which makes it a nice place to stop by for a drink.
This new location is nestled in a small, unassuming mall plaza in Chino Hills. I had visited on a warm, sunny day so I tried the citrus refresher sample and loved it. It was phenomenal, I'm still thinking about it. I ended up going for the Calamansi but lowk regretted it because that sample was so good! The best parking lot out of the three locations (Diamond Bar and San Marino). The interior is just as cool as their other locations with that earthy stone decor. This location had hats and totes for sale. I hope they start selling shirts. I would love to be mistaken as an employee with how often I am here. Their store exclusive Koan-Im Tappiocino was okay. It's essentially a slushie with jelly. I don't think the tea flavor was able to shine well through this drink. Might be better with their fruit iced teas like the mulberry or osmanthus citrus. Really nice staff and online pickup is my favorite perk. I hope they continue to expand to OC. Best drinks are still the osmanthus citrus and popcorn milk tea for me personally.
I'm a frequent customer of the Torotea in Diamond Bar, so I was curious about this new location in Chino Hills. We went on a Sunday. There was a bit of a line, but nothing as crazy as the Diamond Bar location during peak popularity. The inside of the store had a darker, warmer atmosphere in comparison to the off-white coolness of the original store. The girl taking orders was very cheerful, friendly, and inviting. My go-to order at Torotea is the Ember Milk Tea with Barley Jelly. I love the roasted oolong flavor with the barley. But it didn't taste right here. It was bland, watery, and had no sweetener. I had ordered my drink with perfect sweetness and no modifications, so I was very confused. I went back inside the store to ask them to remake my drink. The workers were actually very nice and apologetic about it. They remade my drink quickly without question. The remade drink definitely had sweetener, but I still could not taste the tea flavor at all. Needless to say, I was disappointed because I really like the Ember Milk Tea. I strongly implore Torotea to look into their quality control processes at this new location because I know what this drink is supposed to taste like and want for it to be good.

Torotea is my favorite and I'm so glad they're opening more locations! I really like their ember milk tea with jelly and uva tea (like a perfectly sweet iced tea and slightly fruity notes)! I've also tried the cassia which has a malt-like Smokey flavor which I'm not a huge fan of. The popcorn was a little too sweet for me as well. I also bought their bottled oolong tea and it isn't sweet at all but I like my teas on the less sweet side so it was perfect! read more
Very interesting décor. Walking in felt like entering a cave / adobe house...in a good way. Cozy, earthy color. Music was a nice touch. The gentlrman who took my order was very helpful. Even offered us a taste test of the drink of the day (?). The place was busy enough, but the wait to order and to receive the drink was drink was not bad at all...maybe 5 minutes-ish. I ordered an Ember MT with Barley Jelly (a Torotea creation) at their "perfect" sweetness level. The ice and sweetness levels were very good, but less sweet would have worked, too, I think. Good barley flavor that blended well with the non-dairy creamer, sweetness, and ice. What I prob enjoy the most about it is that the swallow finishes with the barley taste. Too many MTs taste completely like non-dairy creamer and sweetness with little or no tea flavor. First time for me to try barley jelly, so it is hard to compare. Not much flavor to it, but it was fine. In general, I enjoy barley tea. Having both Korean-style tea in the US and barley tea in China. That being said, I am no connosseur of barley tea. read more

I was so excited to try this place. We got the Popcorn milk tea and Cassia milk tea. The popcorn milk tea with tapiochi was so good. You have to order it with the brown sugar tapiochi. The cassia milk tea was okay. Nothing too crazy. I would highly recommend ordering it online. I ordered it online and picked it up right away. There was a line out the door. The cafe is really small and it's a really popular cafe right now. read more
came on a saturday around 6 pm and it was not too busy. we ordered and got our drinks after around 5 minutes. it's a small place with very little seating but there is some seating outside. the drinks are delicious. had a really good experience and service was friendly. read more
Toro is such a great treat whenever I'm in the area! The milk teas are incredibly fragrant and indulgent. The Tapiochi is so unique and so good - I don't like boba pearls, so liking this was a real surprise ! It taste like a combination of grass and lychee jelly, so I will definitely be getting this topping moving forward!! We also made a large order to go to bring a party, and they provided us this super useful box that keep all the drinks intact and we never had to worry about spillage at all! I recommend coming here and trying out their many drink!!! read more
I've been to all the Torotea locations & it was my first time at the chino hills one! The interior is more chic and dark compared to the other ones. I got the Koan-Im Tapioccino, which has a slushie consistency and is blended with the taipochi. It kind of tastes like an iced coffee??? It was FIRE. No sweetness level adjustment on this one but it wasn't too overwhelming. One star off for the service. One of the girls was kinda rude and seemed like she didn't want to talk or answer questions. Was kind of a throw off but maybe just a bad day for her hahah. read more

This place is a vibe !! The drinks are great, the environment is stunning, welcoming & calm. Come early even tho they open late, usually after 7pm there's a line out the door! But there is cold water being serviced outside :) my friend & I went in & got the matcha (it was his first time), it was so good we went in & got the crème brûlée one. It's a place he'd definetly recommend & come back to try more things ! read more
So obsessed with this place despite only trying the SPECIAL Chino hills drink so far: Koan-im Tapioccino. It's refreshing and sweet yet not too sweet and i didn't realize it but the cashier said it tasted like dates!! It's so subtle I wouldn't have thought that was the taste! It satisfied my sweet tooth and felt healthy to drink. I preordered it on a random Wednesday and it was ready for pickup within 10 minutes. The drink was so good i went back to get the SAME DRINK the following day! This time I ordered in person and there was no line or wait! This was on a Thursday around 4PM. I'm excited to try the creme brulee drink next as it's been recommended to me alot and even their sample teas tasted delicious!!! I wish there was a library next to this place so i can drink and study right after! (Unfortunately there's very little seating in here but i do like that because it eases the crowdedness!) read more

Torotea opened third location in Chino Hills. From time to time, I will get my drinks from the Diamond Bar location. Ambiance is really nice and modern looking. I love how they offer free sample tea. When I was there, employees were giving out free sample of Osmanthus Citrus Refresher. I ordered Osmanthus Citrus Refresher with perfect ice and less sugar. The drink was citrusy delicious. I waited about 10-15 minutes as the wait can be really long. Limited seating as it is mostly grab and go. Service was great. Staff were helpful and friendly. read more

To be honest, I was pretty disappointed at the grand opening. On Instagram, tea tastings, spa water, sunscreen, umbrellas, and tiny treats would be provided but in truth only half were actually there. They also ran out of scratchers that valued $3-$100 and only had the $5 ones. Customer service was efficient but we didn't get any mentions like "thank you for waiting in line" or anything about the long wait. The owner was there but she didn't walk up to anyone to thank them for coming but was chatting with her party instead. Maybe because this is the first time I've attended a grand opening, but I had some expectations for the event that seem too unrealistic. The drinks are still worth the visit but that will probably be the last time I will go to a grand opening event. read more
I got the location-exclusive drink, the Koan-Im Tapioccino, which is like a tea frappuccino with the tapioca blended in. It was pretty good, but on the sweeter side, so I'd get less sugar next time. This location's atmosphere is cozy with warm lighting and kind of gives off a cave-like feel. The server was nice and explained the drinks to us. They also have a water dispenser outside which is nice and convenient. read more

It's my first time at this location, the music was blasting and the interior is gorgeous. I feel like at the other two locations, I was offered the sample to try but at this one; I had to ask- which felt a bit off to me. I got my usual Osmanthus Citrus Refresher w/ Osmanthus Jelly. read more

You know a drink is good when your friend barely puts the straw in... you look back over and there's only 2 inches of the drink left. LOL We ordered the popcorn milk tea, the mulberry oolong with osmanthus jelly, and the Koan-in milk tea -- all 10/10. The jellies are huge and so slurp-able, which honestly makes such a difference. This is easily one of the best milk tea shops I've been to. Friendly staff and a super cute interior are the cherry on top! read more
Beautiful and convenient new location. They have two long benches outside and a more spacious interior as well, so much less cramped than their Diamond Bar location. Their parking lot is also much bigger and easier. We got our drinks super fast (~5 min). The popcorn milk tea was super sweet so i'd recommend getting it a little less sweet. The osmanthus refresher was great as is. Jasmine oolong with the brown sugar mochi was also perfect and the tea flavor came through read more
New location in chino hills woohoo!!! *just a PSA, they have location exclusive teas at each of their locations* Torotea is definitely one of my favorites in this area so I'm happy that they're in chino hills now. Certain tea places have good fruity drinks and some have good milk teas. Torotea is a milk tea kind of place. You have to get their tapiochi. My favorite is the black tea one. If you don't finish your drink this will last until the next day also (unlike boba which hardens in the fridge). They also sell freshly brewed regular tea in a glass bottle and also just a regular tea order. Their fresh teas are a little bit more underwhelming so personally it's not my favorite. The interior is not as cute as the diamond bar one, and it's a little darker and cave like, which is not particularly a negative, but might just be what they're going for (or maybe because it's just soft opening). The staff is really nice and I actually got my drink really fast (which of course there was less people than when I go to the diamond bar one so there's that too) read more
Finally saw the line die down from the newly opened location at Chino Hills. Had to try their location exclusive - Koan-Im Tapiocccino, which I recommend! No changes available, but was made with just the right amount of sweetness. Also ordered Dalgona Cloud Top Koan-im Oolong Latte, and Crème Brûlée IceMilk With Brown Sugar Tapiochi - both were good too! The staff was friendly, patient, and helpful in their recommendations, and explanations of the various drinks. They even have lemon water and cups available outside for those waiting! Definitely a welcoming place and chill vibe. read more
They haven't grand opened yet and still in soft opening but they have their full menu which is great. Love that it's a much easier drive for all the Inland Empire people. There's not much of a wait yet, not sure what the wait will be like once they grand open and more people start coming.. This location is very dark inside, nostalgic early 2000s Hollister vibes. Don't worry the menu is still very visible. Seems like they may have changed the Tapiochi (tapioca mochi) recipe from the last time I've had Toro over a year ago. It's better in my opinion. Tapiochi is more chewier than a snap as before and slightly sweeter than I remember it. Can be kept in fridge overnight and won't harden like traditional boba. Popcorn Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapiochi - you can really taste popcorn, milk tea itself is creamy. If you love corn drinks, this one is one to try! If you get it less sweet the Tapiochi will be sweeter than the drink which helps balance it. Oojicha Einspanner (hojicha)- sweetness level can't be adjusted and I personally think it's slightly too sweet. Hojicha flavor isn't as strong as I perfer. Very creamy. read more

They even have a location-exclusive drink that I can't wait to try, especially since my go-to is the Koan Im Oolong Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapioca. Loved the decor and the warm, flinstone vibes. No crazy lines yet since they're still in soft opening. I'm really happy to see Torotea continue expanding while staying consistent. I've been to all three locations, and the service and quality have been solid every time. Lately, I've been obsessed with their Misty Oolong Milk Tea it has this caramel, almost toffee-like flavor that I think is way better than the Popcorn Milk Tea (hot take: that one's my least favorite on the menu). read more

This was my first time trying this boba place, and I really enjoyed it. I ordered the Cassia milk tea and the Chino Hills exclusive Koan-Im Tapioccino. Both drinks had a very strong tea flavor. The Cassia milk tea tasted similar to coffee, which I typically don't like, but the flavor was subtle enough where it balanced out. The tapiochi texture reminded me of overcooked boba, but it was surprisingly pretty good! The service was great! The cashier was very nice and patient with me even though I took a while to decide what to order. It was really crowded for a weekday, and the interior was pretty small. It was decorated similar to a cave though which was very unique. Overall, I would definitely try this place again for their unique topping texture and flavorful milk teas! read more

Shoutout to whoever said to place a pick up order! I was 10 min away and decided to place a pickup order for my go to drink. Placing the order was easy and it said it would be ready in 15-20 min. I found parking easily and there was a line out the door. I went inside and almost 2 min later my order was ready. Super fast and friendly service at this location read more
Torotea is an emergent boba tea spot having three locations now. Our current favorites are the popcorn milk tea with brown sugar tapiochi and the mulberry oolong with osmanthus jelly. Prices are about on par with other fancy schmancy boba spots (they include an online premium of 10% for online orders- FYI) and the one knock is the sweetness level is pretty high here, so it's 50% or less on our orders. Very low key inferior so it's mainly a takeaway spot. read more
