With a mind for celebration due to some very happy news, a few friends and I ventured to Toros having heard that their branch in Nottingham was very tasty. I was pleasantly surprised to see the variety on offer , from lamb shank, to the usual steaks, burgers and more. However, being a steakhouse, of course steak was the direction we were all heading in.
Service was excellent. The waiters were all very kind and helpful, and we even managed to bag ourselves some lollipops in the end.
I ordered the Toros special, and you get a choice of sauce and two sides. I opted for the spicy rice, not as spicy as I would've liked but was tasty with all the veg inside it, and the steak cut chips which tasted delicious having soaked in all the steak juices. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium rare, and being very particular about my steak, I was quite disappointed when it came out medium to well done. However it was still quite delicious, and the pepper sauce was definitely the highlight.
Be prepared to pay for drinks in Toros, as they charge for water as well as the quite steep menu prices. But other than that, it was a pleasurable meal and I would definitely visit again. read more
