Food and service were great. It was a very popular spot but the short wait was absolutely worth it! Their soft shelled crab was absolutely delicious, better than any I've had elsewhere in Toronto.

This place is pretty amazing! It's definitely a place I will go again! The service: The waiter is very polite and is very friendly, not pushy at all and gave lots of room to talk while checking up on us every once in a while which was nice. Food: I had the Bulgogi and tempura bento box which was very good. It came with rice, salad, 3 dumplings, the beef and assorted tempura. I liked everything in the bento box. The tempura was light and crispy, not greasy at all. The beef was seasoned well and went well with the rice. The salad and dumplings were just okay, not anything special. They also gave out complementary miso soup at the beginning and ice cream at the end which was a plus and free tea if you order it. The price I thought the price was fairly decent maybe a little expensive for a Korean/Japanese restaurant but not overly priced That being said, overall I think it is well worth it and I will definitely be going in the near future. 5 stars.

Food is good, but if you order the bento box for take out, you don't get dumplings or sushi rolls- but it's the same price. This is kind of a rip of as it's not enough food for an average person and they fail to mention this. read more

Best little sushi restaurant by far in Town... Other than Toronto. Try the spicy tuna tempura rolls! Yummy! Friendly place.

Best sushi in the area. You get what you pay for and if you have no understanding of what good sushi is... you'll likely feel better with your "bargain" at the all you can eat joint. If quality matters, you'll enjoy Toro as I did. I enjoyed the Korean fare as well. read more

It was just barely a notch above completely raw. The teriyaki dishes weren't any better; the sauce was thick and gelatinous, almost jelly-like, and really unappetizing. The salmon was cut so thin that it basically dried out just from cooking, so it ended up tough and bland instead of tender. Between the undercooked shrimp and the overall poor quality of everything else, this was an extremely disappointing and EXPENSIVE meal, and unfortunately we're now both feeling sick afterward. Really hoping the restaurant takes a hard look at food safety and quality control.

This is my all time favourite restaurant to enjoy fresh, delicious sushi and more! I actually don't have words to explain how amazing everything I've ate from here is and has made my tastebuds beyond happy! Not only is the food delicious and made with love but the atmosphere and service is always pleasant. I also need to mention that this is the first restaurant in Belleville that I have noticed make amazing impacts with their community and environments. They're starting to change their packaging to environmentally friendly packages and cutlery. They have presented a 'mitten tree' to those in need outside of their shop during the cold winter. They have a fantastic way to promote their business with social media in both caring and hilarious ways. 10/10 in my books! Never been disappointed. read more

Not just the best Sushi, it's the best restaurant in town. FULL STOP! To me one of the best compliments you can give a restaurant is to add the word "Consistent". This establishment is not only one of the best Sushi restaurants in the province, it's consistently so! This is my go to restaurant for everything from casual lunches to special occasions. On top of all this it is very reasonably priced. For the same cost of an all you can eat joint you get a quality meal and likely, just as much food! Toro is not to be skipped! read more

way too expensive for small town restaurant.....(we are not down town toronto or mid town manhattan!) place is too small and dingy looking, very cold in winter and when you walk out of there you smell like a cheap egg roll and need dry cleaning your entire outfit from all the smoke the tempura makes (must be old dirty oil they fry the food in) service wasnt that good and food wasnt that memorable i will check out other joints read more

I was very exited when Toro opened it's doors. Belleville was seriously lacking culture until this restaurant opened. The service, food, and atmosphere are amazing at Toro. I usually eat here every Friday :) They also have another location in the Quinte Mall, not as good, but nice if you have a sushi craving whilst shopping. read more

This is THE BEST Sushi and Korean food in the area , service is always top notch and fish is always fresh and the Korean bbq is amazing !! service was slow. waiter was loud and rude when we asked to explain few items food was alright. few rolls were dry & didnt feel very fresh. tempura food was deep fried in old oil cause you can taste the burned oil and smell it in the entire joint. soup was very nice all in all - we would say pass read more
